Gafvert Campground

I absolutely LOVE Gafvert CG!!! Beautiful sites for our 32' camper and most of the sites are surrounded by trees and brush , so your really secluded! Another great thing is that there is plenty of fire wood available to foraging so you don't have to bring a ton with you! Plus it help keep the campground groomed!!
Yes, there IS 4 wheeler noise but it's only coming and good noise, otherwise wheeler,motorcycles, quads etc.. are on the trails!!

A total of 18 campsites. Ten down by the lake and another eight up the hill. Both have a well water pump and also pit toilets that have 12 inch vent pipes (meaning they don't smell like hell). I missed getting a picture of #7. #12 is an accessibility site and can only be taken by non-disabled if it is the last spot open that day.

Amazing dark sky spot for the stars and Milky Way! Perfect for astronomy enthusiasts. When doing astrophotography, there's a little bit of light pollution to the northeast from Duluth and a little to the south from the Twin Cities metro but it is pretty negligible and not that noticeable by the naked eye.

Awesome place!!!! Perfect place when you just want to get away from life.

Great little spot tucked away deep in the woods. We went there for a trail ride on our sxs and it was awesome.

Was a blast, 87 and hot on may 1st. Going to be back for sure in July camping.

Awesome camping and riding! Beautiful area.Very clean toilets and water on site. Staff was friendly and on top of it the day after a big storm hit us the night before.

Nice campground, can ride atv right from your camp site. No water, sewer or electric hook ups.

We did not camp but view the facility and Campground and it looks really nice.

Cheap, good campgrounds, it's nice.
