Jefferson Park Branch, Chicago Public Library

I love this library! The first time I ever went I was greeted so kindly by Ms. Janet. She got me all set up with the summer reading challenge for my daughter (even though she’s only 9 months!). We attend story time now every week and it’s always an awesome time. The summer reading challenge was SO cool - we got to pick a new book to take home and keep each time we checked in with how much I read to my daughter! We got a t-shirt when I read 500 min to her, it has a 150-year celebration theme! I just got my library card today and it was such a smooth process. You can check out 50 ITEMS at a time…that’s unreal! I even could pick a super cool 150-year celebration design on the card! Also, this is a small thing, but I super appreciate them keeping the door open to the bathroom when they’re not in use. It makes it SO much less awkward to not have to knock!

Great small local library. There is no parking and the library is basically one small childrens room, one small adult room, and two study rooms.
Overall the librarian was very helpful when asked questions. No complains

This is a popular library and the staff is always welcoming. I love using the Library’s website to put books on hold and pick them up here. It may be a smaller library, but it’s cozy and I wouldn’t change it.

Today 05/19/23 at library was a quiet day as suppose to be.
Ventilation works good, no homeless a round, just, I would say, paradise in Jef. Park library.

This is a well kept library. The employees here are very kind.

I don't believe there is a better library branch in our great nation that is operated better that the City of Chicago Jefferson Park Public Library Branch. Not a sad face to be found, all the personnel are up beat and extremely helpful. Not one decimal out of place.

Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Library is clean and resourceful. What else can you ask for and great work JP CPL.
