Nesmith's Hamburgers

I've been eating there since the late 1960s. My grandfather carried me and sit me on a stool. I absolutely love the food and the staff. Mrs Helen has always been so kind and caring. She makes you feel very welcome. I absolutely 💯% love this place.

An institution.

Yes the patties are small. Yes they are fried in a lot of grease. Yes they’re about half bread. But damn are they good for those who like this sort of thing. If you’re expecting a beefy flame broiled or grilled burger with all the fixings, go somewhere else.

Otherwise, order a couple all the way (if you like raw onion) and I recommend adding some Louisiana hot sauce. And be nice to the ladies regardless of what kind of mood they’re in.

In business since 1966. Raised on these. Family tradition. Ms. Helen has helped feed the poor and hungry people in the area for decades. My favorite is a double cheeseburger with ham and a fried egg. We have planned trips to north Alabama to coincide with their hours. My favorite burger place.

Best bread burgers! My Dad use to take me here when I was a little girl....same good taste. I love good memories 📝 Also good kind people! Kindness means a lot nowadays ☺

Always good food at Nesmiths!!

This was a most unique experience as well as one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Burgers are about all they serve but they have it down to an art and I would drive the three hours up there to have another. Bring cash!

Love love love this place! Recently moved to the area and the ladies there made me feel right at home. Went back a second time and they remembered us and our order. They are exceptional!

Wonderful staff, wonderful food. I work an early shift and it's hard to find places that serve lunch at 9 am. Nesmith's is a great fix!

I grew up loving this place and the burgers and staff have not changed in 30 years that I have eaten here. I have no problem making a special drive just to get a Nesmith.

My favorite hamburger since I was a kid. Same friendly faces. Clean environment. Bring cash money!!! They do not accept debit cards.
