I was lucky enough to stop by Mt Vernon Confections and I couldn't even believe how amazing every item I tried was. This is my favorite place!

Eating Sour Cherry ice cream was a revelation. My fiance had the Pumpkin and when I begged to try some, it was literally the best thing I have ever tasted. I wish I could eat their ice cream forever. The secret must be the local organic produce combined with a perfect blend of sweet flavor in the ice cream to balance the tastes so expertly.

The crunchy frogs were delightful; perfect dark chocolate shell with edible eyes and absolute crisp innards. I also had some truffles-dark, lemon, and spicy-and I am blown away by the exquisite care and attention to detail that is clearly put into every bite. I may come back and never leave!

This is a great candy and chocolate shop!! You can find beautiful, artisan chocolates and also fun candies from your childhood that are sold by the ounce. A win-win for all ages and all sweet tooths!!
