Shawnee Health - Marion Dental

My wife and I have seen Dr Jacob and Hygienist at Shawnee for many years. They are excellent. The specialist they have recommended to us have also been very good. The staff have always been courteous and go out of there way to be accommodating for future appointments. They are friendly and have a pediatric dentist who sees very young kids which makes it oriented toward the whole family. Highly recommend.

They are awesome my Emma wasnt scared and they were nice let me be back there with her the Dr she has is awesome and he even included my 5 yr old who has Down Syndrome and even took him on as a patient and Easton loved him too absolute best experience ive ever had with children and a dentist excellent

They make me feel like I am Their family and they are really nice people

All the people who work in this office are truly amazing and care about you as an individual...not just money.

They are to really care and are just really hard to get anything done fast appointments set months away....so guess that's a good thing for them not so much us the little people.

I waited months for my appointment, and when it was finally time for my appointment, they canceled it the same day. Also can’t even reschedule an appointment. They said they would call me.. they don’t even take your number down. Tried to reschedule with a different dentist and they will not let you.. just ridiculous! It shouldn’t be this hard to get in. I just want a healthy smile...

Will not help me at all and was very rude

Very upset. Because of Covid my son has not been there since 2019 and now they tell me he can't be seen. Thanks now he is stuck because no where takes his insurance and he is in pain. Shame on you Shawnee Dental. Shame on you!

Called about two months ago to inquire about an appointment for my 2 year old daughter. They said they weren’t taking any appointments due to COVID. I would have to call the day of for an appointment. Which is perfectly fine! This morning I called for an appointment and they said they were booked until December. Receptionist spoke in a very degrading tone to me telling me that they were booked until December because they’ve been closed for so long DUH! But why tell me that I can’t book a future appointment but have to book day of and then tell me they are booked for two months out when I call day of? So which is it?

Ya real friendly. Work is horrible and very painful. Busted my lip in two places pulling one tooth. They hurry to get done so they can get in the next wallet that is waiting. My wife just had all her bottom teeth pulled. She sent home without antibiotics and an inch and a half of jaw bone exposed and gums looked like was run through a meat grinder. Leaving all that jaw bone exposed has insured her the most excruciating pain imaginable.

I personally wouldn't go here. I have a friend who went there and had some extractions done. The dentist Julie Niles told them they had infection. So they had the extractions done then the jaw shaved. The dentist gave no antibiotics period. My friend ended up in the ER a week later due to the infection taking over. Needless to say since my friend had this very painful bad experience I think people should know what they can expect.

Denieese is the worst, most rude , receptionist I’ve ever spoke to. My bridge broke while visiting southern Illinois..asked her for recommendations on local services, not being from the area, she was the most rude and uneducated sounding person. If you can get past that, who knows if their service is good.

7:40 and phones are still off and can’t get through. Can never get an appointment, hasn’t accepted adult patients in god knows how long, rude and just plain awful. Don’t recommend.

If you really like chaos go to Shawnee Dental.......Their office is a joke........They will cancel your appointment while you are driving to their office......They will call you and give you a new appointment then turn around and cancel it again and again and again and again.......soon there will be no dentist working there because no dentist needs chaos and neither do I.

I wish I could give zero stars .At this point both Carbondale and Marion shawnee dental need to be shut down. Very poor dental services.

Been trying to get in all year and still not accepting patients. The only place that accepts medical card around here. What a joke
