They took amazing care of my boy from start to finish. They were amazingly helpful with aftercare and Dr. Clark even called to ask how things were going. They are honest, fairly priced, and do everything they can to ensure the best possible outcome for your pet. All times I went were during covid, so I do not know how clean the inside is however there was no infection after my dog’s hip surgery and he came out smelling like a sterile hospital, so I believe it is safe to say they are very clean. Callie was the receptionist that I always spoke to and she was wonderful as well. That whole staff really just made the entire 8-week process a breeze and I am forever grateful. Thank you!

Quartet is the first place I would take my pet for a serious emergency issue. The staff is kind, well qualified, and accommodating. My 8 month old kitten received the best possible service for a midnight emergency and the fee was extremely reasonable. I recommend you trust them with your next urgent visit!

They are literally saviors. We live in east TN but drove to Cary to have surgery on our dog mudges leg. Unfortunately the diagnosis was not what we wanted. Our dog ended up having cancer. The assistant came in and was so supportive of our boy and going through the comfort measures of making sure he was comfy. We decided to go ahead with the surgery to remove his back leg to enhance his comfort. The assistant even gave us tips on having a tripod dog since she had one. That was last October. Since then our dog has gone downhill and he’s in the last month of his life. They have still kept in touch with us and asked how he is doing and what they can do for us. Such a great team and such an amazing office. Update our dog has passed but the vet office sent us a card with everyone that helped us and signed it personally.

I have a 12 year old 85 lb pointer mix that had BOTH knees reconstructed here 10 and 11 years ago, respectfully. He's still alive and quite mobile!!! This procedure is a miracle and worth the expense. Here's a pic from just last year at nearly 12 years old after hiking up to the highest point in Grayson Highlands State Park in VA. No small feat for any dog of his age, much less a large dog with two artificial knees. The knees are better than what he was born with. What a great life he's enjoyed.

Dr. Shultz and Dr. Gallagher we’re amazing at caring for our Dachshund Levi! He needed surgery for a disc that herniated in his back from IVDD. From start to finish they treated him promptly and ensured we were doing everything we could for him and encouraged us to recover at home once he was ready. They are the most affordable emergency vet care around and we traveled from out of town to be there! I will forever be thankful for the care they have given Levi and our family during such a emotional time. They gave us 80-90% odds Levi would walk again and for that, that is something I don’t think we could ever repay!🎉❤

Quartet offers excellent communication and service dedicated to your pet's comfort and health. The staff was very polite and thorough, even in the middle of the night. I'm sure emergency vet services are not easy jobs, and this staff seemed top notch. Glad to have Quartet close by, gives me peace of mind. Cowboy doesn’t love medical facilities, but he seemed happy (and well cared for) coming out.

I am glad we trusted Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice (which resides in Quartet Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital) with our cat.

The employees answered all of our questions and left us with no doubts.

They performed surgery on my cat's leg and he has since made a full recovery. You cannot even tell which leg he broke now.

The cost was a few thousand dollars, and they offer payment plans. In my opinion, it's not about if you can afford the cost out of pocket, but if you can make it work for you and your family.

The only confusing part was that surgery and emergency care have different phone numbers as they are separate businesses and I kept calling the wrong one.

My 7-month old puppy was having trouble eating and we thought it was a blockage. But they were able to determine it wasn’t her GI system and was actually her heart. They kept her alive and got her into NC State’s Vet Hospital for more intensive care. If they hadn’t caught her shortness of breath, she wouldn’t have survived the night. Everyone was so kind and kept me updated frequently. They took excellent care of my sweet girl and were so supportive to me.

Not only does the entire staff really care about your Furbaby, the compassionate care for our babies is 100% top notch. And if you need to ask any questions you forgot, they’re more than happy to help.
Thank you to everyone who is as determined as we are to help our Sons cat recover. Is difficult while our Son has been on Deployment to have both his cats well. With Quartet Staff, I’m thinking Wyatt will recover.

THE BEST!! They saved my boy! My boy had been sick for almost 2 weeks and had been to the vet twice but nobody could figure out what was wrong with him. I decided to take him to Quartet on a Sunday morning desperate for help. They also were not able to find anything through radiographs or blood work. They also did an ultrasound and found something amiss with his intestines. The first thought was that it could be cancer. The working surgeon that day skipped his lunch break to do surgery on Kipper. To my great relief it was a toy blocking his intestine not cancer. He stayed with them several more days to receive care before coming home. Being a worried Mom, I called a bit checking up on him. They never seemed annoyed with my calls and were very informative. Thank you to all the staff who helped solve the Kipper mystery and saved my boy.

Tootsie our honey Golden retriever has a torn ACL on her right knee and we came back to Quartet and Dr Gallagher to get her Knee fixed. But Tootsie is no stranger to Dr Gallagher and the staff at Quartet Veterinary Animal Hospital. Three years ago Tootsie developed a tumor on her right leg just below the knee. We took her to see Dr Gallagher in Cary. The name of the Hospital then was Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice now know as Quartet Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital. One visit to Dr Gallagher and Tootsie was set for her surgery. Dr Gallagher removed the aggressive tumor on her leg and it never came back. Thank God. After eight weeks of healing her cast was removed with very little scar showing.Tootsie was now walking normal with no issues. What a relief and wonderful experience. Three years later we came in again to see Dr Gallagher and the staff of Quartet Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital regarding her torn ACL on her right knee. We scheduled her surgery on a Wednesday and then two days later Tootsie was home recovering from her surgery with all her medications. Eight weeks later Tootsie has recovered and is now jumping and running normally just like before her injury. I can't say enough Good things about Dr Gallagher and Quarter Vet Hospital. Wonderful experience, wonderful staff. We hit the lottery when we found Quartet and Dr Gallagher. What a blessing. If your pet needs surgery then please make the extra effort to see Quartet and Dr Gallagher. You'll be glad you did. Thank you again for all your help. And Tootsie also says Thank You very much. XOXO

This was our second time seeing Dr. Clark at Quartet.
As of now he's done one procedure for both our pup's, and we couldn't be happier.
After walking into there new facilty for the first time. I was so impressed by how state-of-the-art there hospital was. The Receptionist there are VARY patient and helpful. Dr. Clark was informative and reassuring as always. Having our nervous boy who needed TPLO surgery fall asleep at my feet during the consultation said alot. Also I want to thank the Vet Tech's that treated our sweet Miles like he was your own in recovery.

Update: Nearly a year later and our boy has torn the CCL in his "good" knee. Having a skilled Orthopedic Doctor that we can trust to preform the second TPLO operation gave us such peace of mind.

Thank you guys yet again!

We've brought our pets to Quartet for emergency care and physical therapy and have always had a great experience with the staff and the care of our pets. This is a great emergency vet. The friendliness of the staff, and the call to let me know I could go home rather than wait in the parking lot for hours is super nice. Seriously, that is such a nice thing. I've literally waited 5 hours outside other emergency vets and never received a status update. We really appreciate Quartet!

Our Barklee had TPLO surgery back in April and is going in tomorrow to likely have the plates removed. It is rare, but sometimes their bodies reject the implants..... just like humans. I should have written a review back then but we all get busy. So here I am reading reviews to see if anyone else had experiences with plate removal. I'm searching the web for any info I can find on TPLO complications. But the real reason for the 5 star review is because of Dr. Clark. From day 1, he has been totally amazing with Barklee. He doesn't put Barklee on a table to examine him. Dr. Clark gets down on the floor, literally laying on the floor so that Barklee is comfortable. He has said many times, "If Barklee could talk, I think he would be saying........". He is a true animal lover and clearly loves what he does. How many times do pet parents think we know what our dog would say? ALL the time! Nice to know Dr. Clark connects the same way with Barklee. BTW there is nothing I could find on the web that Dr. Clark didn't already tell me. He is so thorough. If you need to take your pup to a surgeon, please consider Dr. Clark. You will be glad you did. Barklee is one of those rare dogs that LOVES going to the Vet. Everyone said, just wait, he won't want to go back to that place after his surgery. Wrong, he loves it there. A true 5 star rating from Barklee himself.

I took my kitty here on a Saturday because she had not eaten or drank water since the previous Tuesday. Saturday was a bit difficult because we ended up having to wait in the parking lot almost all day while she was looked at and her treatment plan was made. She ended up staying for three days while they did every possible test to figure out what was wrong. We ended up having to transfer her to a facility with more diagnostic tools, so keep that in mind before bringing your pet here if they have something weird going on that needs a specific test.

I was mostly impressed with their incredible empathy and communication. I wish we had been able to keep her here instead of transferring. We were able to call at all hours (even 4 am) and get a detailed update on how she's doing and what they have done to treat her. The vets (especially Dr. Olson) would stay on the phone with us sometimes up to 40 minutes at a time answering all of our questions. The techs talked about how sweet she was and told us they had all been loving on her which made me feel like she was not just put in a corner and forgotten. They also worked with us on the financial end and were very up front about exactly where our money was going. I would take a pet here again in the future (although I hope I won't have to).

Sadie had to have knee replacement surgery a year ago, which has done really well. Dr Clark was a very compassionate and wonderful surgeon. He has moved on and now Sadie is having difficulty with her other leg. The staff are a wonderful group of caring people and understand how much our little four-legged friends mean to us.

We have been to Quartet three times, and each time our dogs have received top notch care and treatment. They have a very friendly staff and easy intake process. We had to have our beloved oldest pup put down in the middle of the night, during Covid, and they made it as easy and peaceful for all of us as possible considering the circumstances. They will always hold a special place in my heart for how they treated us and cared for our girl at the end. Would highly recommend to anyone who has emergency vet needs.

My dog had an emergency last week when I was away. Quartet worked with my dog walker and myself (on the phone) to get her seen quickly on a Sunday. She ended up having emergency surgery. The vets were very professional and thorough. I was really impressed with the care they gave. They also notified my regular vet so that they could follow up for a regular appointment in two weeks. If I have an emergency again I will definitely visit Quartet!

We brought our dog in for emergency care and we received excellent care for him. The staff displayed obvious care and concern for both our dog and us. During these difficult days of Covid we were not able to be with him during the exam but the Dr. (I am sorry I don’t remember her name) phoned us and explained the exam and her findings.

We felt very relieved and confident in the care our dog received. We had been to this practice years ago for emergency and followup surgery and were not aware that they had moved to this new beautiful facility. We are thrilled that they are now only 5 minutes away rather than the previous 20 minutes.

We can highly recommend this practice from both this experience and our previous care. They are highly skilled and very compassionate. We wholeheartedly recommend this practice.

I highly recommend Quartet for emergency services. My Max had an episode of vomiting blood and a bloody stool on a Saturday. After waiting two hours at a local emergency animal hospital with very poor communication, a friend recommended I take Max to Quartet. I am so glad I made the hour drive. The staff are compassionate and professional. I appreciated their timely communication and their willingness to keep me abreast of options for care and my pet's progress. I felt very comfortable leaving my Max in their care. Thank you for your excellent service!
