Quartet was gracious and caring - they didn’t want to do surgery unless absolutely necessary. They kept in tension our ability to afford the surgery with our need for a healthy 6 mo old golden doodle puppy so our 4 kids weren’t traumatized. When the surgery went well and our pup had to stay less than the minimum days expected for observation, they adjusted the bill accordingly and were very helpful.

From the bottom of my heart, I can't say enough great things about Quartet. Our long hair chihuahua needed knee surgery for a luxating patella and we opted for the same day consult / same day surgery. The entire staff was phenomenal. They explained everything thoroughly, made sure all of our questions were answered, loved on our sweet Josie, and gave us all the time we needed before sending her into surgery. When we picked her up the next day, they were equally as fantastic and spent time with us until all of our exhaustive questions were answered. The entire staff is a group of angels, and we are so grateful for the outstanding care Josie received.

We love Quartet, emergency vet care. They took us in after a call with no waiting and saw us immediately. The staff, especially Michael, was so helpful and Dr. Abby Lang was wonderfully kind to our puppy. I was able to get into see a doctor without an appointment for an emergency.

Our fur baby was in pretty bad shape with an intestinal issue so our vet recommended Quartet. They kept him for 5 days and treated him very well. I was impressed with the hospital itself and the caring and professional attitudes of the staff. Our baby came home in much better shape and we were pleased with the treatment. It is expensive to have professional care for fur babies, but Quartet made it a little less painful with their attentive and thorough care.

Quartet is amazing! We have a 3 year old lab who just had TPLO surgery number 1 of 2 there and I can't begin to explain how amazing they have been. They are SUPER responsive, always answer the phone and email. They have taken so much of their time talking to my husband and I and answering all of our questions to make sure we were set up for success for her healing. We are so thankful for them!! She will be going back for surgery number 2 on her other leg after this one heals.

I have unfortunately had to bring all three of my animals here on separate occasions. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and their level of care. I want to especially thank Miss Shelly for always putting me at ease, and making sure the process is as smooth as possible. She is a joy to see up front during a difficult time.

Thank you so much to all of the staff! I was a very scared caretaker and everyone was so compassionate and kind. Sadie means the world to our family and I believe she received excellent care! I appreciate how understanding staff was about my fears. I was comforted and reassured by many people. Emergency care is typically more expensive but we are very relieved and happy about the care our dog received with these professionals.

Our dog Raven needed a second knee surgery. One was done while in rescue. Two dog mama friends highly recommended Dr. Gallagher at Quartet Vet. Raven’s surgery went well. She just had her 8 week post-op x-rays and things are progressing nicely. Dr. Gallagher was great at explaining things and answering questions. The staff has also been more than wonderful with all aspects of her care. Highly recommend!

Dr Shults is one of the most talented veterinarians, and caring people I have ever met. She has been treating my dogs for over 10 years.
I had a real scare yesterday evening, and when I came in this morning to the ER, she made time in her busy schedule to see, and treat my dog immediately.
The whole practice is fenomenale, but she's a true gem! Thank you for the incredible fast service my dog received.

Highly recommend Quartet. The service and care were phenomenal. We brought our dog to Quartet for a thoracotomy to remove a thymoma in her chest. The CT and surgery were scheduled and performed in a timely manner. We felt comforted during the procedure and received multiple updates from Dr Gallagher and staff to ensure our dog was doing well. The surgery was seamless and our dog is recovering nicely. We are grateful for Quartet and our dog’s positive outcome.

My life experience: 2 scottish terriers, 2 states [ IL & NC], 8 Vets, 3 Vet hospitals.
My recommendations:
1) Do your homework before going with your dog for consultation to the Vet, get diagnosis, read, learn, comprehend, ask second opinion from another Vet, read, learn, comprehend, decide on quality of life for your pet.
2) If your dog needs a surgery and:

- you are in IL -> go to Veterinary Specialty Center in Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Dr. Mitch Robbins will save your pet.
- you are in NC -> make an appointment with Dr. Jack Gallagher in Quartet Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Cary, NC 27519. You will be absolutely amazed with his approach for conducting comprehensive initial exam of your pet. His knowledge, skills are remarkable.
I read all negative reviews about Quarter Veterinary Hospital and here is my personal verdict: read #1.
Dr. Gallagher’s recommendations are straight to the point. He does not insist on unnecessary tests, procedures…and the last, but not least – based on my life experience [see above]: the price is right!

Quartet Surgery has given our sweet Queenie her ability to walk not once but twice. She tore her CCL in both knees one year apart. Her first surgery was a total success and she was walking on her leg very quickly. As is common, she tore the other knee one year later. We are only in week two after surgery, but she is already using the leg for short walks. Dr. Keller and every staff member there have been so caring and supportive. Her surgery has spared her crippling pain from arthritis in her later years. We are so appreciative for their kind approach and exemplary skill and dedication to all details. Thanks to everyone!

If I could give 20 stars it wouldn't be enough. My Maddie required surgery for a splenic mass, possibly cancerous. The staff and surgeons were wonderful. By the way, all of the surgeons are board certified, not a small thing as far as I was concerned.
Any question I had was answered [as well as few I had never thought of]. Quartet is a fantastic institution, from the in take through the surgery and beyond. I was kept informed, i.e I didn't have to "chase" information.
Upon Maddie's discharge I was given a detailed rundown regarding medications and care.
In the end everything turned out very well. If for any reason Maddie requires any surgery in the future, Quartet will be where I will take her.

The staff were compassionate and provided detailed information so we knew what was happening to our pet. Pricing was very reasonable. We will be returning in the future.

To be honest, I was really wary at first when my ex booked Jade's TPLO (CCL tear repair) surgery with them, but sometimes you have to admit you were wrong. When I arrived, the staff was friendly, they took really good care of her, and didn't shoot for the high end of the range we were quoted. They took their time explaining aftercare and when I left, I was glad they were the one's we went with. Thanks for winning over a skeptic.

My dog Arya had TPLO surgery here. I was very pleased by the service of the surgical staff. I was called and given frequent updates on my dog. At pick-up, the anesthesiologist went over the surgery and post-op instructions THOROUGHLY! I felt prepared to provide post surgery care. I was given a helpful handout that had all my follow up appointments and instructions. Thank you Quartet for taking care of my sweet girl! She was giving kisses to Eric on the way out :)

Great experience here from arrival to our boy being discharged a couple days later after surgery! Would highly recommend Quartet for any of your emergency veterinarian services. Dr. Gallagher did an amazing job on the surgery our boxer Hank needed to save his life! Thank you to everyone for their excellent customer service and an overall great experience. From twice daily phone calls with updates about your pets condition, to the excellent attitude of the staff, overall a 100 percent experience. Thanks again for everything and saving our best boy Hank!
