Mallard - Lake Dixie Springs

Everything about this restaurant was great. The Mallard was a very unique class look feeling. The staff and greeter with was very nice. Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and awesome. Great atmosphere with really nice people.

The fried duck is amazing! It was my favorite. The cheese cake was very delicious as well.. I feel like they need more of a selection on sweet dessert wines but all and all it was great. Staff was friendly

My little sister got married on Christmas Eve and the post-wedding meal was at the Mallard. The food was INCREDIBLE. I'm not from the area so I didn't know what to expect, and boy was I wowed! The menu was pre-selected, so I'm not familiar with the menu, but we had a 4-course meal that was one for the books. Crab and corn chowder, wedge salad, filet (cooked to perfection) w/ shrimp, potatoes and asparagus, and a chirstmas bread pudding. There wasn't a bite that we didn't love. Rave reviews were heard from every person at the table about their meals, and to please every guest at a party of over 50 is something to be praised. We were stuffed! The wait staff was kind and attentive and happy to be there. Kudos to them all. Thank you for making our celebration a memorable one!

Mallard has been around for a long time in one incarnation or another due to fires and owner change. The current one may be the best. Fun place to eat but better make reservations as place is packed. The menu is limited but they do a great job with what they offer. Steaks cooked correctly, grouper was nice, fried shrimp very nice. Our server was very sweet. Enjoy

Food was excellent! We tried the duck tenders, New Orleans shrimp cocktails, chicken kabobs with hummus and pita wedges. All apps were delish. I had the seared grouper fillet over grilled veggies. Just a touch salty, but still fresh tasting and delicious! The grilled veggies really complimented the fish. Not to mention the vodka tonics! Ate at the bar with my siblings. We had a great time! My family was very impressed with our experience at The Mallard last night. Our waiter was phenomenal my dad said that our waiter was the best waiter of his life! I wish I remembered his name! He was attentive, polite, and professional. We had 9 people at our table ordering burgers, shrimp plates and a crawfish enchilada everyone loved their food with the fries being a huge hit among everyone. I had the burger and I am particular about my burger but loved the burger here. 11/10 recommend!

This place was so good that I went Thursday and Friday night so I could get diffetent food. When I went Saturday they were incredibly busy and had a love band that was great. The drinks are good. And I've had duck but never fried duck until I ate it there. It was phenomenal. Edit: Last Friday my boyfriend joined me on my business trip. He was stationed in Afghanistan as a Marine and had wanted a traditional-esque Kebab since he got back. He was very impressed with the Kebab here and that it actually was served with Pita and Humus like they do over there. The lamb was great and the duck, that yes I ordered again, was still amazing.

I had not been since it was remodeled. The food and service was fantastic. My only complaint is that it is not elderly friendly. I didn't see an easy way in or out for the mobility challenged.

Tonight was delicious but so very loud. No live music tonight but it's hard to carry on conversation over dinner.

My husband and I went to celebrate my birthday. I had not been here in years. Out waitress was Cheryl. She was excellent. Very professional & attentive. The food was all excellent. We got steaks & they were grilled to perfection. The potatoes, green beans, salad & bread were all delicious. I even got bread pudding on the house for my bd which was superb. The atmosphere was great. I definitely will be going back & will tell others to go there too for a great meal. Thank you thank you

The food was excellent. The owner was pleasant and very sociable. I enjoyed the atmosphere, it was very casual. They don't however have a children's section on the menu. I noticed the locals consider this more a "fancy" restaurant. The pricing was fair, not at all expensive. The staff do a great job of keeping things clean. I would definitely return.

there is nothing better anywhere close. if you are in this area, and want a good meal and casual higher end atmosphere. Edward and Caitlyn will ensure you have a great experience. professional management and waitstaff in a very nice setting

Loved everything about the new mallard. The blackened ribeye was still amazing. The service is still awesome. The new building is beautiful. The only thing bad about it was how miserable I felt when I was leaving because of how much I ate. Its was miserable but oh so awesome at the same time. And my rating would actually be 5 stars times 5 more stars. So 25 star rating. THE MALLARD IS MY ALL TIME MOST FAVORITE RESTAURANT.

Came here for our anniversary recently. Quite enjoyed the experience. There was a small issue with the reservation but the owner fixed it ASAP. Our waitress was attentive. Even the bus boys, or whatever the formal term is, came by every chance they got and took dishes off the table. The steak was cooked like I like it. The cocktail shrimp and accompanying sauce was delicious! I'll come back next special occasion I have. Nicest restaurant in Pike county.

The restaurant is bran new . They have very good food and it taste great . The restaurant does have a bar and all the drinks I ordered were very good. We had our anniversary dinner here and they were very accommodating in getting flowers to our table ahead of time. And if you go try the duck tenders they are great.

Great gem in the middle of Mississippi! Don't let the location of this place fool you. It is a cool and contemporary style restaurant with great fresh food. The staff is nice and friendly. Ive been to this place a few times, ordered a steak (I recommend getting the Mignon over a ribeye only because the floor of the Mignon seemed more present than in the ribeye),and the shrimp pasta. Both were delicious!
