Door County Confectionery Sturgeon Bay

There are a number of these throughout Door County, but the shop in Sturgeon Bay is the largest and we think the most fun. They have the hugest selection of saltwater taffy that they encourage you to sample, in classic flavored like peppermint and cherry, but also in wildly unusual flavors like chili mango, passion fruit, and curry! The fudge is delicious but expensive- it’s heavy lol, so you can easily be spending over $50 on a few flavors. Really quaint old time atmosphere, a fun experience.

Oh My GOSH! only 37 reviews? How? Upon opening the door your hit with that warm candy scent that is iconic in most candy stores. I was blown away by the assortment of different candies you can choose from. i definitely walked away with more than i could carry. thankfully I had a couple of kids to hold most of it. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Door County Confectionery Staff.

We saw this place on the way in and knew we had to make a stop. My wife loves homemade candy and chocolate, I mean who doesn't!?!? They have all types of homemade chocolate, caramel's hard candy, old school candy that you just can't seem to find around anymore. We definitely did some retail therapy while there. Our Air BnB was close so we took a nice walk down 3rd Ave to get there. A must see while in Sturgeon Bay.

I am so sorry. I was not at your shop, I was at the Door County CANDY store in Sturgeon Bay, where they charged me $32.95/lb for Fudge.
Next time, I will go to your Door County CONFECTIONERY instead! Again, I apologize for mixing up your shop with theirs.

STOP HERE FIRST....the selection isn't as big as the new Candy store down the street, but this place has been here since the early 70's, and there prices are far less than the other place. $1 per truffle, the fudge is half price, and the price per pound is far less. Stock up here and then wander down to the other store to pickup anything you may not have gotten here.

This place has the best ice cream! I’m not much of an ice cream lover since I’m more loyal to gelato, but this ice cream was really really good. I had the Door County Cherry flavor and it was delish!! Not too sweet, it was perfect. The service is excellent as well as the sizes of the scoops and the prices.
Be aware, due to COVID-19, only 5 people are allowed at a time in the store. If your party is bigger, you will be allowed inside as long as no one else is there. In this time, it is more than understandable to limit the capacity inside.

This is a really cute little shop with all types of different sweets and chocolates. They have some homemade items, but there's mostly your usual candy selection here -- lolipops, caramels, pre-wrapped chocolates, and much more. Everything is sold by the pound, so you can mix and match everything. What I like best about this store is that they have a huge selection of beanie babies. They sell them in all different sizes -- from the really little ones to the really big ones.

immaculate vibes, delicious fudge. Like stepping back in time. Friendly staff, wide variety of fudge flavors and salt water taffy. Delicious caramels, especially the cherry.

The flagship Door County Confectionery store. I've never purchased something I've regretted from this location. A great selection of fresh made chocolates and other goodies. Also has a lot of retro candy.

We stopped in over the weekend with our kids. They enjoyed the candy store and we picked up lots of great snacks. The lady working was really nice.

Yummy candy... especially love the toffee, and delicious ice cream. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Love this place. Great homemade root beer floats and the cheese popcorn is so very good.
