Newtown Park

A very good place to hangout on weekend and also on weekdays. Has Soccer fields with some great trails to walk around ranging from easy to hard kind of difficulty levels. Has an open theatre were movies are played on Friday nights and has ample space for car parking. Has a separate dog park within the park and the area near the pond is extremely quiet and serene. Less crowded and neatly maintained.

Went to the Literary Fair on 10/1/2023 and it was a joy to be there. Beautiful park, beautiful weather, lots of families and sports complexes, lots of parking. A wonderful time!

Beautiful park. This is my second time. Nice dog park and lots of walking trails.

My family loves Newtown! We've been patrons of the park for almost 20 years. My daughter played soccer here from the age of 5 until 13. She would return at 18 to coach the little ones aged 3-5. It's a great place to walk your dog, too. Our pups love getting their stroll on at Newtown!!

The onsite amphitheater is amazing too. Lots of free classes and concerts there,

What I love about this park is that they have two different playgrounds for 2 to 5 and 5 and up. Also have an open field near the playground in which they have soccer goals and wide open space for you to kick a ball throw a ball or practice any of your athletic skills. There is also an area where the kids can make music link to the playground for older kids. They have a lot of equipment that really helps gross and finding motor skills get a workout. They also have an event space with bathrooms and outdoor speakers that's included in the area and they offer various sports such as soccer, lacrosse, and baseball. As soon as you come in the front entrance to the left is a dog park with the whole of the park being connected to trails that your family can walk and some of them lead to tiny coy pond.

Always fun with the kids. The playgrounds are nice and well-equipped for different ages. The restrooms are some of the nicest public restrooms you can find.

Lovely. Easy access parking. Numerous bathrooms. Park and grounds are well maintained.

This is a really nice park with lots to do. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were tons of sporting events being played by kids. We went to the playground, which has one for kids up to age 5, and the other one is for kids 5 to 12. they have really unique playscapes, which my husband even commented on. He's an engineer and for an internship he worked on playscapes, he was pretty impressed. My two-and-a-half-year-old loved going back and forth between the two playgrounds. The ground surface is wood chips. There's plenty of parking really close by. And a nice clean bathroom right next to the playground. Definitely worth checking out if you're nearby.

A beautiful, respectful memorial to the men and women who have served and presently serve in the Armed Forces. Including a replica of the Vietnam Veterans wall in Washington, D.C. The entire Walk is beautifully landscaped and maintained.

Awesome park to take a stroll and enjoy with kids. Multiple playgrounds keep the area safe and active most of the day.

One of the nicest parks in Georgia. There is a beautiful dog park within. Huge play area for kids. Many free little libraries, benches, gazebos, soccer field, baseball field, tennis court, jogging and cycling tracks and a lake with fountain. The public washrooms are well maintained. I saw sunscreen dispensers installed near the kids play area.

Excellent facility with multiple modern equipped playgrounds. ⚽ Soccer fields and picnic and shelters as well. Ample parking and free admission.

A BRAND NEWTOWN DAY: I just moved into the neighborhood a few weeks ago and thought I would check out this park for my weekly 5K run.. and it was wonderful. Cool paths, and even cooler people who smile and wave as they pass. Brings a positive vibe, not just to my run, but also to my day.

This is a great park. Lots of sports and activity areas. Nice walking trails and picnic areas too. There were a lot of people out for a winter afternoon so I'm sure this park is very busy in the spring and summer.

Great park for the kids and the dog. We go all the time.

Newton Park is a beautiful place to walk, go to yoga classes, bring your dog to the dog park, picnic, play numerous sports, and have a relaxing time.

Great park. Nice facilities. Shame a few bad apples trash it up with beer bottle caps and trash all around the fields.
