This is a wonderful organization. The food and meats are phenomenal. The staff is always helpful and smiling. They also involved in the community for the support of others. This is definitely the way to show others the meaning of fellowship.

I showed up early to pick up a special order. A miscommunication lead me to be at the location to early. The owner recognized I was early and rather than making me wait 2 hrs they got my order together. I will always come here. Even though I pass 2 or 2 closer butchers. Top notch service I appreciate.

Amazing find! I started coming here a little over a year ago and have been a weekly customer ever since. Yes, the meats are a little pricey but I’ve never gotten a bad piece of beef, chicken or pork from Wilkes. I also didn’t know how to cook until I started coming here, but they tell me what to do with each cut and it always turns out fabulous! They answer all your questions with a smile, take pride in what they are selling you and just make it a pleasure to shop there. You’ll never find a place that has better customer service anywhere!

UPDATE: on our first visit we bought a cut of London Broil. We enjoyed it so much we went back and got another one. Wilkes Meat Market is great and was much needed in Ball Ground.

Stopped in today for our first time, very impressed! The meat section was great, plus a well stocked market! We will definitely be shopping there a lot!

My breakfast featuring their bacon and pimento cheese was phenomenal!! Bacon is very fresh and nice quality that doesn’t compare to what is sold at Publix or any grocery store. Great job with the pimento cheese, too! Very flavorful and it spread easy on my toast. Thank you!!

Highly recommend ! Fresh meat and seafood. all kinds of bbq and steak sauces , house made sauces, jams and pickles. Stop by if you are in town!

Bought my husband a ribeye for his birthday! Looked like a brontosaurus steak! I also bought T-bones too! Wonderful as always!

Great service from a family owned business. More than just a meat market, they have a small grocery store as well inside. Cold drinks hot food ready to go.

Purchased a beautiful brisket that they even hand trimmed for me.

Awesome service & meats!! I ordered a lot, and buy a beef tenderloin and have them trim it and grind the trimmings to mix with the ground sirloin for steak burgers. Tasty 👍👍

What a gem. The meats are consistently great. The butchers are super helpful and knowledgeable. The ladies at checkout are always pleasant. Couldn’t ask for a better place to buy quality meat.

The meat here is phenomenal.
I wish I could remember the name of the meat cutter that helped me out.
I had a couple questions and told him what I wanted.
He picked out some Ribeyes for me and a few hours later we enjoyed the best steaks 🥩 I have had since I moved to Georgia.
Their own Robust Ribeye Steak Seasoning added just the right flavor to the tender delicious meat.
I highly recommend Wilkes. 😋

Absolutely amazing service. I called from Florida in hopes of getting a gift delivered to friends who are resettling in the area from Ukraine. Back in Ukraine this family delivered aid to war torn regions and families for a non profit. I only mentioned to Hunter that they just came from Ukraine without any details and he offered to personally deliver the box with assorted meats. He helped me put together a package and personally hand delivered it even though the store does not do delivery. The family was very happy and grateful to receive fresh and well put together gift. Thank you for your act of kindness and paying it forward.

We stopped in today for the 1st time and are so glad we did!
We stopped shopping for meat in the grocery stores some time ago and have grown accustomed to paying more with limited choices. At Wilkes, the selection, prices, and customer service are great!
We will be back and we will tell everyone we know to stop in.

First of all, three manager is wonderful. We had a question about pricing and she went above and beyond to explain everything to us and ensure we left happy. I bought 2 filets and was supposed to save one for lunch but ended up eating both as they were so good. Literally wanted more but was so full I could not eat. Wonderful place!

Excellent variety of fresh meat and chicken that is always good. The grocery market is well stocked with many of the brands that we prefer.

If you catch them early enough in the day, you might be lucky enough to get some already cooked ribs ready to take home for tonight's dinner! Yummy!

Everyone is very courteous, respectful and helpful. We are always referred to as "sir" or "ma'am" and thanked for our business!

This is what a small town meat market is supposed to be! LOVE this place! The staff couldn't be any better! I feel at home every time I walk in the door. Tried the bacon wrapped filet on recommendation from the gentleman behind the counter and couldn't have been more impressed! Two 1.25 inch thick filets for 21$ and they were amazing on the grill. Also snagged some frozen shrimp which were great after a quick Sautee! The other meat is a little more expensive but once you see the quality, you'll understand why! Definitely my go to when I'm ready to fire up the smoker or grill!
