Frankfurt Döner & Meats

EASILY is one of my top 5 favorite hole in the wall establishments I've tried in my life. We had the Ruben and the doner. Both were packed with well seasoned meat and flavorful toppings at the perfect ratio. One sandwich was very filling, but i would order a side if you are VERY hungry. My mouth is watering thinking about it as i write this review. They offer a variety of sandwiches, sausage, and also have vegetarian options. They also have an impressive deli case. It's HARD to find good authentic European cuisine in the south, but I am so happy to finally stumble upon this restaurant. We will be back, often, and hope to see you there.

Delicious food. For something different and exceptional, highly recommended! Very pleasantly surprised at the amazing doner sandwich! Today they were very busy so there was short wait.
They also have a deli case for take home.
If you are any where close, don't miss it!

This place makes the town worth a stop on your way through, but make sure you're doing it on your way home (and bring a cooler) because you'll want to pick up some delicious, beautiful smoked chops, bacon, and fresh brats to take with you and extend the magic.
We like to eat at the other spots in town, too (Ball Ground Burger Bus is another personal fave), but the döner is ALWAYS on our must-do. We usually leave Ball Ground feeling very full. Worth it.
Frankfurt Döner is on the main street of town tucked away in an unassuming little shop with some small tables outside on the street (no seating indoors), but eating outdoors is great bc the town is playing music that is just piped out into the street. It's delightful. Grab a döner to go, and split it with a pal. Carry your brown paper bag of happiness a short walk south down the street, and you'll find some picnic tables too. You'll be well situated to get your 2nd course and some beers from the burger bus. :)
The döner sandwich is incredibly delicious. Try anything you want, but listen, you must get a döner. It's similar to an gyro, but it's not that. It's something more. I'll add photos, but know my words and these pics are not enough. The bread is the perfect toasty, chewy texture and the portions are generous. Is this red cabbage quick-pickled? Is the fresh tzatziki running down my arm? I don't know. My eyes are rolled back in my head and I've transcended to a plane far above the need for answers or social graces.

If I could give this place 10 Stars, I would. I love their Doner kebab sandwich aka "German Taco. My wife gets the Doner salad because she has Celiac and can't have the bread. They accommodate by making the sandwich into a salad. The food here is absolutely amazing. The staff and family who work there are super friendly and very polite. You can eat lunch and then order some sausages or wurst to take home (which we do). Lots of choices in German meats. I can't recommend Frankfurt Doner & Mears enough. A must visit when in Ballground!

OMG! Great german sausages!

I bought all their bratwurst and the hamburger wurst are amazing. The sandwiches are great as well. Only two tables inside but plenty of outdoor seating in the park next door.

I’ve been here so many times since two years ago that I had to write an update.

Every sausage I’ve tried there has been delicious, it’s homemade the butcher does it right - authentic German.

The German OMAs potato salad is just like my grandmother used to make. Deliciously amazingly good.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with the different Brats like beer cheese, dried tomato with feta, Texas Hot…everything you can think of and more. Very traditional German brat s too. My fav are the weiswirst!

Love this place. I recently went to the Peach Bowl ( GO GATORS)and I want something special for the occasion so I emailed them and they suggested Son of a Peach brats. So I got those and regular brats and let me tell you we were the hit of the tailgate party in our area!!! Everyone wanted to know where I got the brats and I was proud to tell them where. BTW the brats were so good we made some friends of the opposing team!!!

Drove from out of town to get some German food. Enjoyed a döner and picked up some leberkäse and a pork chop for later. Killer dinner :) My wife and I loved the garlic herb butter as well. Authentic and would visit again.

Oh My Lord,! !! thank you for letting me find this place I the mist of my daughter’s motorcycle stalling out 10pm at night at a nearby fishing whole. We found this spot the next day and have been blessed with the best-tasting German-Brat I have ever tasted. I see why folks drive in from NC to grab these vittles. I love this spot!! The customer service is lovely & nice…like said to me “it might be messy but it’s really good”

Awesome sausages in an amazing variety of flavors! Some of the great flavors: Peach, Blueberry, Andouille and some that have cheese in them!

I was born and raised in Germany and this was the most authentic Döner I've ever had in the US. Great quality meat and just the right size. Very yummy! Wished this was closer to home.

I’m 47… and if you can’t tell by the last name, I’m German. And the cranberry apple sausage is hands down the best sausage I’ve ever had. No contest. The smoked pork chop had great texture and the perfect amount of smoke. The service staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back through.

Grabbed a döner for my husband's lunch today. He is originally from Bavaria and he thought it was excellent. We will definitely be back!

This is one of the best brats in the world. I had a Popeyes chix sandwich before and was planning on sharing a brat, but just ate a whole one on my own. The first snap of the casing with the juices oozing down my chin is so addicting. They grill the brats and sausages out front on Fri and Sat lunch and the process is a little confusing because you need to purchase a ticket for the sausage inside the store. You won't regret eating this sausage. The German potato salad is really delicious too.

Fantastic place to grab lunch or meets to take home and grill. Super friendly and very helpful staff. Awesome selection and good prices, especially considering what you are getting. Took the family here and did not regret it. Will be going back at our next opportunity.

This place is amazing!! The women running the store were so sweet. I got the Döner sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Delicious 100% Angus beef and fresh toppings/ sauce that balanced the flavor perfectly. I also LOVE the way they toast and press the pita, it gives it a slight crunch that pairs well with the whole experience.

They also have a bunch of quality meats and homemade goodies like sauerkraut. 10/10

Excellent German market! Knockwurst was delicious. Had a couple of grilled brats for lunch very yummy! Way more friendly than the pizza place. Next door!

Love their smoked pork chops, the variety of Bratwurst - smoked or raw, Peach, Blueberry, Beer, Jalapeños etc. their Landjaeger and Leberkaes!

Every. Single. Time. ...without fail it is the best bratwurst sandwich! My friends know that if we are eating in Downtown Ball Ground for lunch, chances are very high that we are eating here. Oh and I can't forgot, the Heavenly potato salad... OMGOSH sooo good!!

The döner "all the way + spicy" is one of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever had. Sandwich is served in a thin but sturdy grilled pouch stuffed with tender Angus beef, cucumbers, cucumber salad, lettuce, tomato, red cabbage, onion and feta cheese. Also picked up some of their huge burger patties and sausages, which were great! Worth the drive to Ball Ground and I'm definitely making the trip again soon!

Just went back recently after a couple years away, and I have to say nothing has changed which is very comforting. The sauces are amazing. The potato salads are sublime. The staff as always is so cordial and fun but best of all they are patient as you decide what to get when there’s so many lovely choices. I can’t wait until the next visit.
