India foods

One of the few true "Indian" grocery stores in the Treasure Valley. Others seem to come and go. It is the go-to place for the essentials of Sub-contingent spices including the fresh variety.
It is focused on North Indian foods, with a limited smattering of the South. Probably better than nothing. I'm not price sensitive to goods compared to online sites. However, availability of curry leaves (mainly in S Indian dishes) is key. Fresh cilantro is probably cheaper than the avg grocery store.

Really good place for Middle East grocery

Ya know what, I like it here. Plain and simple. Reminds me of the Bodegas in NYC... And I dig it that the same man is always behind the counter, maybe the owner, but he is super kind and looks at me like I only have two heads instead of 4 when I tote my list in with questions about this or that. I humbly admit I am new to preparing this cuisine so some things I make note of are totally lost on me but even so, I find what I set out for. I am slightly bummed that I keep missing the ice cream flavor I wanna mack down on, and I'm not gonna say what it is lest it continue to disappear, but the mango is pretty dang good...so is the pistachio.

If you buy a lot of spices, this is the place to go for S. Asian and Indian staples, it's super reasonable. I couldn't find pidgeon peas anywhere but here for the Dal Fry i like to make. There are some vegetables that I am unfamiliar with but I plan to figure them out one by one.

I recommend going even if you just pick up some Naan, so you can feel what it is like when you get the heck out of Burger Queen and get real and actually prepare some delicious, healthy food. It's not very big but I bet it has everything a body would need to put some Bollywood in your movie night. Great place to peruse....

Came in looking to make a traditional curry, not something from out of the jar provided by a grocery store. REALLY impressed by the layout, ease for finding what i needed, attentiveness of the employees, and the directions for exactly what i was looking for! I feel confident these spices are going to make my curry slap!!

India Foods is the absolute best place in town to get authentic Indian ingredients at reasonable prices. The range of sauces, chutneys, and side-dishes available is outstanding. I am a regular customer and am always impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff are when I am looking for something in particular.

Awesome trip! The service was great, and there was a nice scent in the air. They have a large selection of things from veggies to spices to candies and snacks. It was a great trip, yet again, and I will be coming back!

Stopped in here to pick up some spices so my girlfriend and could make butter chicken. They have an impressive selection and very reasonable prices. Employees were quick to offer assistance and very friendly. Great place to pick up ingredients for ethnic food!

Buy your spices here! I restocked my nutmegs, Bay leaves, and coriander seeds. The nutmeg were highly fragrant and plump, the bay leaves were earthy and supple, and the coriander has a vibrant citrusy aroma and grind easily in the mortar. Buying spices anywhere else in town is a waste of money.

Love some of their frozen foods. Great store to get raw ingredients, bottled chutneys and South Asian vegetables.

My, to go place for spices. I found this gem shortly after arriving to the Boise area. It's a joy to see families enjoy this shopping experience. We use many spices in our country which are difficult to find at a reasonable price. It can be ordered on line, but there is something to be said about the warm interaction of the people who work here.

This is such a down home type store. It's really cute and boy is it loaded. They have it well stocked and lit up. And the employee who help us was such a darling young lady. She took us straight to what I had been searching for all over town. Mustard Seed! They had both black and yellow. I got 7 ounces for $2.89 + tax. They carry all kinds of Spices even some you should try! This place is a 10😁👍🌹
