Ashland University

I was there for a annual Luncheon for mental health facilities in our community. The 5 stars are for the university and staff. The food and facility were excellent!

I attended the 2023 Annual Meeting of Lake Erie Yearly Meeting [LEYM] of the Religious Society of Friends [Quakers], 6-15-2023 to 6-18-2023, at Ashland University.

Approximately 100 Quakers from Ohio, Michigan, western Pennsylvania, and elsewhere gathered for three days at Ashland University for Meetings for Worship, Meetings for Business, plenary speakers, workshops, and other community-building events.

For many consecutive years, the LEYM Annual Meeting had met "in person" at Bluffton University [in Bluffton, Ohio]; that location is not able to host outside conferences at this time.

We were welcomed to Ashland University on Thursday evening, during our opening business session, by a tornado warning that had sounded alarms on our cell phones and had sent many of us to the basement.

After that tornado warning had expired, we re-convened briefly and then there was a second tornado warning so we decided to adjourn for the evening.

The Ashland Center for Nonviolence is located on the Ashland University campus. On Friday morning, many of us visited that center during a morning-long open house.

On Friday afternoon, "Navigating Nonviolence: Faith and Practice," a panel discussion with the interim director of the Ashland Center for Nonviolence, ecumenical religious leaders from the Ashland area, and LEYM Friends, was held.

Ashland University provided to LEYM a friendly and welcoming environment for our three-day long Annual Meeting.

Wonderful place. Hopefully these two will have lots of great memories here.

Ashland U is well marked and an easy campus for a visitor to navigate. Enjoyed seeing the Indoor FB facility for the first time. Bad weather drove a baseball camp indoors but the facility made it ideal for everyone. Many fond memories ministering to Ashland athletes here in football, basketball and now baseball.

Ashland has been amazing! I am a student in the Master's of American History and Government program. The professors are excellent. Housing at AU is fantastic, and the food services are outstanding, the best I've ever experience. If anyone is looking for an incredible graduate program in American history, this is the place. You will love it!

Nice place to watch outdoor track meet. Only complaint was that stadium seating is pretty tight. Bring a chair or grab hill seating at west side of track.

Ashland University has friendly staff, and it's located in a safe place. I am an international student, and I got what I need. Every things are available around the university such as restaurants, hospital and markets. Frankly I suggest to all my friends to come to Ashland.

Great staff, and an always on schedule bus. Great for going from spot to spot on campus quickly! This battle bus is great! I dropped tilted. fight me bois

This school has impressed me since day one. So glad my daughter made the choice to attend Ashland. Great College of Business and program. Highly recommend.

Had a great tour of the University, very informative presentation from the admissions department, had a chance to eat in the cafeteria and was wowed, and campus atmosphere was electric with a football game in the evening.. Had know about University before and this trip did it justice.

Saw a show at the Hugo Uoubg theater. Really an excellent production and the campus is beautiful.

I live in South Louisiana, but I have been spending my summers on campus at Ashland in grad school. Love the campus and the people!
