The Wakefield Inn & Restaurant

We stayed at the Wakefield Inn for a short spring get away. It was lovely! We checked in and before dinner, went to grab drinks in the speakeasy. The bartender made fantastic drinks and everyone we met was friendly. Then we had dinner in the restaurant which was so tasty. The meal was delicious and portion size is huge so we had left overs to take on home. We’ve stayed here before and it was lovely but the changes made by the new management have elevated our experience and expectations. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner. I was told it is open under new ownership. Perhaps...the dining room certainly felt more elegant. Waitstaff was attentive and service top notch. The Chef made GF accommodations to my menu selection. Delicious!

I celebrated my 10 year anniversary at the Mill. It was an amazing romantic get away that we remember fondly. Wakefield is a very sweet little town. The mill is beautiful and charming. Our room was simple and cozy. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and were able to use the jacuzzi even though it was winter lol
I can't wait to go back again :)

We stayed at the Inn on Saturday, January 12, 2024 and had a wonderful time. The staff is incredibly friendly especially Hope. We loved the speakeasy and had a delicious dinner. Our room was amazing and so comfy. I highly recommend a stay.

Rooms are clean and comfortable.

If your dont want to sit in the beautiful dining room, then have your meal at the brand new fully stocked bar!

If you haven't tried his food! You must, the rib eye melts in your mouth and you can even order to go!! 😀

Was nice to be back in my home town, will stay here again for sure!!

fresh breakfast sandwiches, hot oatmeal, fruit, muffins, danishes, granola bars, parfait, with options toppings, coffee, OJ, water and a nice note!

A wonderful gem. Great place for a good meal, a good drink. Everyone should support a place like this in the area. Make this a success and it will only get better.

We had a great experience with the Wakefield inn for our wedding on 8/7/21. We had the rehearsal dinner there and they let us (bride and bridesmaids) use their common room upstairs the next day to get ready. First off the food was SO GOOD. I live in the area and have always driven by, never thinking to stop in but i'm so glad we discovered them. Hands down the best food in the area, and very affordable. The service was great; everybody was so kind and friendly and kept up with our 40 person party without a hitch. The inn itself is cute and cozy and once again, the staff working were wonderful. Everything is clean there yet has a very homey feel. Soft towels, soft beds, beautiful decor, charming porch and backyard area, everything about it is adorable. thank you for a great experience :) We will be back for dinner soon!

I'm so happy to provide an excellent review from my stay this past weekend, 8/6/21. Aside from being very clean and having large bedrooms ... all that ... this was like spending a night at my sister's. The owners are very genuinely warm, nice, accommodating people. I was able to stay almost 4 hrs after checkout time on Sat. Everything has a very relaxed, 'Yup, that's fine" kind of feel. Neat history to the house, good food, a huge omelet. Been a long time away from B&B staying. Standard hotel stuff. A stay like this is a much nicer thing to do for myself travelling. I'll need to look for reviews like the Wakefield. This was a really nice weekend.

We needed a room for a single night for a wedding and found this cute inn. Checking in was super easy, they brought us right to our room. Honestly we wished we had an additional night booked so we could try the dinner. Breakfast comes with a stay but we were pressed for time in the morning so we couldn't stay for it but it would have been nice. We had the Tibbet room, had our own bathroom and the Keurig was a wonderful touch for the morning. It was a chilly night so we turned the heat on and were comfy all night. I love that there wasn't a TV in the room but wifi was available if needed. If we need to stay in that area again we'll def be coming back!!

I have lived in and loved Wakefield for 11 years... I have known the owners for almost that long - our children grew up together... They care, about so many things, but there is no doubt that they care, very much, about their community and the dining experience they have at the Wakefield Inn! I love everything, the food, the service....Its just awesome! Go!! 😚

My husband and I went for an Anniversary dinner. Food and service was Amazing! The atmosphere was very relaxing. This is our new favorite restaurant and intend to tell all our friends and family 😊 Call for reservations

Staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing. Best chicken Marsala I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful place, loved the atmosphere. So sad that they are closing.

Review based on dining experience- highly recommend. Everything from drinks to apps to dinner was absolutely delicious. Staff was accommodating and super friendly. Was so pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to go back!

Food is excellent, atmosphere quaint, except the lighting is a little too bright/harsh. Service is good, need a little more attention to minor details to be better. Even still, we love it here! Really enjoy smooth jazz on Sunday nights.

We have driven by the Inn and restaurant for years and finally decided to give the restaurant a try. Everything was outstanding! The staff was friendly and attentive. The food exceeded our expectations in quality and portion sizes. We can't wait to come back again!

I have been a total of 3 times to the Wakefield Inn and every time I felt full, happy & blown away. WOW!! This place is truly a hidden GEM!!! Amazing food ( honestly I cant get over it.) Great portions, good service & great prices. It is quit, small & quaint; love the ambiance. I cant wait till my next visit!

This was a Christmas present from our daughter and it was incredible!. We arrive and were shown our room (Tibbetts) on the first floor. The room is extremely comfortable and the ambience makes you feel like you are home. The king size bed that was so comfortable and the sheets and pillows soft. I honestly had the best night sleep in years. The room is off the dining room but you cannot hear anything it is soundproof. The dining room is very quaint and the food was amazing. My husband had the short ribs and I had the stuffed shells. The portions are very ample and delicious. We brought our desserts back to our room for a late snack. There is a keurig in the room so it was nice to sit in the wing back chairs having dessert and enjoying tea/coffee. The owners are pleasant to talk to and cater to any need. Breakfast was fresh fruits and many options to chose from. I selected eggs /bacon /home fries and toast. Again I felt the meal was incredible.
I would HIGHLY recommend this to any one looking to unplug from life for one day (or more) to come here. Bring a book or games as there are no televisions! Loved my stay and hope to return again. Lisa and Charlie Delaney. 4/7/18
