Dorchester Park

Dorchester is a peaceful little park that offers a good selection of activities. There are many picnic tables, a couple of pavilions, some volleyball nets, a small playground, a boat launch + boat rentals, fishing, a walking/biking path with some decent views of the park on the dike (around 5 miles from the parking lot and back), and a small beach on the lake- there's a solid chance the beach won't be open due to blue green algae. The park is dog friendly, carry in-carry out, and doesn't charge an entrance fee.

Launch your own kayak, canoe or pleasure craft in this beautiful and free park. You can also rent a paddle boat or kayak. Park has pavilions, restrooms and fire pits to cook up some hotdogs or hamburgers.

Well maintained. User friendly, except for the gulls. But I never liked sea gulls to begin with. The bio break rooms are nice. Ample pavillion space. Picnic tables and BBQ pits sprinkled liberally throughout.
Being the children, maybe their grandparents, some fishing poles. Enjoy the day at Dorchester Park. I promise to bring my trunks the next time I'm there.

Great park with lots of activities. Playground, lake, picnic tables, grills, canoes and paddle boats for rent. Nice calmed and family friendly atmosphere. They have lifegaurds at the beach to make you feel safer while you and or the kids swim! It's clean and always manicured. There's even some places to fish if you're into that!

Beautiful and scenic place. Good for fishing, boating, cycling and also great place for kids.

Amazing spot to have a picnic, walk along the paved path, or sit and enjoy the nature around. Not too far away is the Whitney point multiple use area to get a little more intimate with the nature around.

Beautiful! This park has a little but of everything pavilions, BBQ pits, swimming area, bathrooms, docks and even multiple boat launches. They also rent canoes, row boats, kayak and paddle boat rentals. There is lots of good fishing and a dirt road access point on kible road pass the schools also another on upprerlise road.

A serene spot to unwind from a long exhausting day! I will definitely visit here more!

Gorgeous park with nice trails, scenery and picnic area. Perfect place to venture off to any time of year.

This park has been near and dear to my family and I for years. My fiance and I got engaged at this park. We also had our beautiful engagement photos taken here. Honestly one of the most beautiful places for foliage in the fall. Great place to swim in the summer. Park is always clean of garbage. Just careful of the geese!

A family reunion that we have every year that always turns out wonderful because the park is a fun and relaxing place. Thank you for a clean place to go to. Bathrooms were well taken care of. It was the first time we brought a puppy, and I will be better prepared for clean-up next time.

Such a wonderful area. The lake, green spaces, trails and playground. Perfect for grilling, swimming, canoeing and partying..

Plenty of things to do here! Rent a boat, go swimming, even bring your puppies to enjoy!

Had a retirement party for my husband. Its such a beautiful park. Bathroom were clean. Play areas were fun for the kids. There was a volleyball net and horseshoe pits. Trails to walk, hike or bike. Swimming and boating. A beautiful place.

It’s a great place to launch a boat and fish or take a nice walk on the paved path. It’s also pretty much the best place to take a date, you can’t beat a sunset kiss. Just saying! 😘

We love Dorchester park! Cute little beach, dog and kid friendly, plenty of hiking and boating opportunities make it a great day trip.
