Sushi Café

What a surprise!! This place is amazing. I didnt think a tiny sushi place out in the suburbs can serve up such delicious food. Boy, was I wrong. We came once before but was turned away because of the price. But after reading constant positive reviews from a local FB page, I had to try. I ordered the salmon poke bowl with greens. It came with miso soup and side salad. The ginger dressing for the salad was awesome; it was the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and subtle spice. The poke bowl was the best part, generous portions of meat. I was afraid the bowl was going to be 80% greens, which is how other places do it because they're stingy cheap. The fish tasted great and the toppings were great. I would love to go back. The CA roll was good too.

My son and I came in today at opening time, (we are from Hastings) I am pregnant and craving sushi (which is a no no as most know) they were very kind and helped me find a roll I can eat safely! I also ordered the pad Thai which was AMAZING and a very large portion. My son had the orange chicken bento box and let me tell you, THE BEST orange chicken we have ever had! It came with fried rice, wontons, salad, a fried egg roll type thing and a soda!!!100% the best egg roll I’ve ever had! The cream cheese wontons were on the sweet side but also very very good. The matcha boba tea is spot on as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! You might have a bit of a wait but with food like this it’s so worth it.

The restaurant is clean and nice. We got the pecan shrimp, crunch roll, shrimp tempura roll, and chicken Pad Thai. The food portions were big, food tastes great, and the pricing is reasonable.

Really great lunch at the sushi cafe. The poke bowl was really good. You get a cup of miso soup and a side salad with it. Very friendly staff. I was happy that i went there instead of Jimmy johns next door. I wish that sushi cafe had some lunch specials though.
Overall a very tastey meal.

This is where I place my happy order. It's just really good sushi... In Cottage Grove! The fancy rolls are excellent, but it's the standard salmon sushi that gets me every time. If my wallet allowed I would order here every day of the week.

10/10 the best steak fried rice I’ve ever had and the egg rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had as well. Please go out of your way to try this place, great people and great food

Really good selection of sushi, Japanese, and other types of Asian food. Everything is great.

Dined in at the restaurant yesterday (I usually order for pickup online and that always goes very smoothly). The music was so calming and along with the decor and outside view, was just perfect to treat myself to their AMAZING food!! Everything I order is always soooo good!! Even if you order for pickup or delivery the meal is still hot.
I love the gyoza, thai tea with tapioca, and their sushi rolls, poke bowls, the fried chicken, different noodle entrees. And I still have more to try!

I bought the poke bowl which came with a delicious salad and soup. They were very understanding when I mentioned I couldn't have mayo and remade my order for me at no additional cost. Very nice local business and it is great to have sushi prepared by a proper chef to order. It is very close to my Chiropractic clinic and they won me over with their generosity. I will certainly be recommending them!

Very happy we stopped in and ordered a. bunch of food here! The hibachi steak and shrimp were extremely tender and juicy. Definitely get your bang for your buck here.

Im a huge unagi/eel sushi roll fan and i gotta say one of my favorites. Had wontons hibachi steak dumplins and onion soup were soooo good. If you havent visited this small buisness you got to. Hands down a hidden little gem.

Went here this evening for dinner, it was a first time visit; I love sushi but this is by far the best I have ever had. The bubble tea drinks were amazing and so flavorful, I want to try them all! We had egg rolls for an app.. I though egg rolls were mostly the same.. I was wrong, these were delicious and HUGE! I had a hibachi dinner and the amount of food I got was enormous and tasted amazing. We will definitely be back often, great food and atmosphere! HIGHLY recommend!

I had the tuna poke bowl with fresh greens to go. It was very tasty and fresh!

Order was perfect and accurate to every detail. I am a server/bartender so I respect and criticize the industry to a fault.. I love love sushi but am extremely picky and have waaay too high of standards for living in the Midwest for raw fish 😂 and for it to be as fantastic as it was being out of a to-go box non the less, is just straight up impressive!!! Definitely giving my usual sushi place (of 10 years) a run for their money! Absolutely will be ordering again and can’t wait to eat/visit in person! Keep up the amazing quality and prompt service, it definitely didn’t go unnoticed!

We were looking for a new place for take out and sushi Cafe was just fantastic! Our order was spot on and they even included yummy sauce and sides. We love sushi and very particular when it comes to sushi. Sushi was fresh( great quality) so yummy. My fiance had orange chicken, had fresh orange rines. Salmon rice bowl was my favorite with fresh chunks of mango and great mix for the taste buds. They also have bubble tea! Pleasantly surprised, thanks Sushi Cafe! 🍣

Staff is amazing. The bubble tea selection is awesome. The Tapioca sells out, so consider planning ahead if you want some of that greatness. The food is great. Sushi is made in front of you at the little bar seating area. Would recommend to any and all.

First experience at Sushi Cafe tonight with my family and it was wonderful! We are regular sushi goers and decided to give this place a try and we were impressed! The sushi rolls were delicious. The presentation was great. The service was top notch! Definitely will be back!

Went here with a group of 7 for lunch. Place was clean, staff was friendly and professional, and food/drinks were excellent. The wait between ordering and receiving our food was reasonable. The portions were more than enough - Poke bowls come with salad and soup. Hibachi has substantial amount of meat and rice. We ate outside - I don’t think we could have fit inside. Got plenty of sauces and plates. Can not think of any reason not to like this place. Well done all around!
