You need to ask for the Lotus energy drink menu -- it isn't on the posted menu (at least inside the store). It is cute in there and any size drip coffee for $1.89!

Perfect stop for a morning, good quality coffee. Beware of the smoothies, though. They are extremely sweet!
Nice atmosphere, even a couple of outside tables for when the weather is nice. Super friendly service.

Great cup of coffee for sure. I enjoyed a seasonal peppermint mocha. I'm typically a Biggby guy, but this brew was better than anything Ive ever had at a Biggby or Starbucks. So glad this place is right down the street from my house. You can really tell that the owners are actively culturing a great staff and atmosphere!

Customer service was awesome, greeted immediately and with a smile. Prices were more than reasonable (especially in 2024) and I was quite pleased with my drip coffee, it was hot and tasted great! Will return!

If your coming to Michigan from out of state, this is a great 10/10 coffee shop. If your a local, hopefully you already know about Happy Days Cafe. If you don't, well now you ya know

The best breakfast bagel sandwich I've had. Quality ingredients and very fresh.

The chocolate croissant was amazing!

Custom coffee you won't find anywhere else in the world. I got the Mayan coffee, it was dark chocolate with a hint of cayenne that made with the perfect amount of spice, never had a spicy coffee before but it delicious.

Seems to be family owned, everyone was very personable and friendly.

They also have happy hours specials, I know this because I bought 3 coffees while I was there. And the 3rd one was 25% off!

Would of taken more pictures but I ate it all. Not sure what kind of beans they use but it's alot stronger and better quality than Starbucks. This coffee got me all jacked up, I almost just wrote a novel.

So many delicious options, can't wait to come back!

Great coffee, awesome atmosphere for hanging out or reading a book- my wife mentioned she wanted to try the Matcha and they made her one for free! This is the way coffee shops are supposed to be.

Absolutely one of my favorite places in the area. Great coffee only beat by great service! These guys support the community, host student and local showcases, they have delicious (non burnt!!!) Coffee. Jason and Paulette are the greatest honestly we are lucky to have this place in Mattawan. Oh yeah the breves here are top-notch!!! A lot of the pastry choices are from a local bakery too. Can not recommend enough.

I absolutely LOVE this place! Their coffee is way better then Starbucks and biggby.
The owner is the best, can completely make up a latte if you have an idea for one. And the food is mouthwatering they are sandwiches are perfect for breakfast or lunch.

Popped in per the recommendations of my Mattawan coworkers, and it was delightful! Genuinely friendly service, and I appreciated how tea-drinker friendly it was, haha. Lots of what looked to be locally produced teas on display, and the mixture of sweet/spicy chai is honestly one of the better chai lattes I've had (and I've had many). The dusting of cardamom/rose on the top was a very nice touch! Will definitely be back when I'm in Mattawan 😊

Hands down yummiest coffee around! I’m always greeted with a smile and I really appreciate the music they play in the cafe.

As someone who considers myself earth friendly and eco friendly I am excited to have a refillable cup! :) Have been several times and enjoyed each and every visit. Good atmosphere to just sit, relax and enjoy. Thank you for the enjoyable space to do that! Quality customer service as well!

Good atmosphere, well kept, clean, and respectful staff! Coffee is good and hot and seating is comfy. Don't hesitate to hit the drive through or sit and enjoy some conversation. It is well worth the stop!

Happy Days Cafe is an awesome place to stop for beverages and muffins! I don’t drink coffee but they have a Lotus drink without coffee that is so good! The staff are always friendly and my kids love going inside to do the trivia they have playing on the tv.

Happy Days is the epitome of a great local coffee shop. Every time I go I’m reminded why it’s so important to support your local small businesses. Jay (the owner) remembered my order within the first week of me going there. I’ve been going for 2 years and even when I haven’t been in like 4+ months, he STILL REMEMBERS. This morning he told me a joke. It’s just the little personal touch you don’t get at the chains. And on top of that, I LOVE their cold brew! Cannot recommend enough!

Super cute little place! The menu is well explained, and has beverages for the coffee drinkers and non-coffee drinkers alike. Will be making this a regular pit stop when I'm driving through the area!

This place is the best, I go at least once a week. And I drive out of my way to go here because the coffee is great and priced lower then any other in the area. Nice setup inside, cozy. Love the staff, know my order, usually have it ready when I walk in. I love this place!! The owner Graham is nice and always working as well
Edit: this used to be Java Joint and is now under new ownership and is still amazing. A couple owns the coffee shop and are extremely friendly. My pups love going through the drive thru with me to get a treat.

Best coffee around! The owners are wonderful people, the staff is friendly, and the environment is awesome. The flavored take home bags of coffee are our favorite!
