Detroit Catholic Central High School

I couldn't be happier with CC. My son and stepson both attend this school. The wrestling program has given my boys discipline, confidence and brotherhood that will help them throughout life. The academics are outstanding and push my boys on a daily basis to go beyond what they thought possible. I would highly recommend CC. If I had to do all over again, I would. Shamrocks for life!

My son has found the best role models and positive male influences in the coaches and staff at CC despite the lack of one in his younger years. CC develops confidence, pride, honor and integrity. I am proud my son is learning how to be a man from the men of CC.

The brotherhood of the students is the secret ingredient at Catholic Central! A truly supportive atmosphere created by the amazing Basillian brothers who run CC fosters growth of the students from boys to happy young men prepared for life after high school. And don't let their multiple state championships in sports each year lead you to think they're not strong in academics either. The CC academic team regularly wins the state championship, too. I started at CC in 1948 when it was still adjacent to Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. I was in the first class to be graduated from the new location on Wyoming, still in Detroit. That was a different time and space. It was so wonderful that I joined The Congregation right after high school . . . lasted about three months. Graduated from U of D, made my way through life, and now, at age 82, have just relocated from Oakland CA to Williamsburg VA.

When I got down to that parent who said his son had been touched by a "Mr. Brown", I recognized a parent whose son has him by the short hairs, as they say.

Onward and upward, CC. You did me no wrong.

CC is an amazing school! That is because of its academics, athletics, extra curricular opportunities and of course the CC brotherhood! The young men of CC gain abilities and connections that will remain with them throughout their lives!

Firstly this school, takes academics seriously. Secondly they understand that they are in the business of turning boys into men. Building the mind and developing character. I could not be more delighted with how they are guiding my son.

We, and our son, are so grateful for the education, scholastic, spiritual and general, that our son enjoyed at this wonderful institution. We continue to enjoy the benefits after his graduation.

Great school. Develops young men in goodness, discipline and knowledge. They promote the value of service and leadership, which is unusual in today's academic environment.

Catholic Central is a great high school and I highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to sending my son here in the future.
