Producer Joel Ferguson's years of production experience and success as a songwriter play a crucial role in his ability to produce the best possible recordings while bringing out the strengths of the songs. His skills as a multi instrumentalist also are invaluable as he is known for his guitar, bass, drums, auxiliary percussion, keyboards and his use of electronics. Joel Furgeson is a gem! He is fully capable of being a Nashville sound recording engineer and producer, but located right here in West Michigan! He is a producer, engineer, studio musician and writer all rolled into one.

His studio is top notch too! He hired a studio designer who helped him get everything right when it comes to room design and acoustic resonance. The drum room is fantastic!

Also his prices are some of the best in West Michigan and he is assuredly worth more than what he charges. He intentionally offers pricing that the people in our demographic can afford.

The studio is comfortable, spacious, and filled with instruments and all tech required to realize virtually any sonic goal. The proprietor, Joel Ferguson, has worked in the industry for over 30 years; in front and behind the desk. So much music, so many songs, so many bands and projects have given Joel an expert ability at capturing musical moments, indeed encouraging them, and expressing them onto media. It's comforting to work in such an environment where ideas blossom into songs, and the art of making that happen is Planet Sunday's business. Plus a beautiful, wooded setting with the birds seemingly always in sing-song is icing on the cake. A treasure to West MI.

My favorite place to record, Joel is an amazing musician, engineer, and person. Highly recommend his studio. I have a Latin band called La Furia del Ritmo and we have recorded different styles of music at Planet Sunday studios. Cumbia, Norteño and Salsa. Joel made us feel like home every time we are in there.

I have recorded my last two records (including the one I am working on now) with Joel Ferguson at Planet Sunday Studios, and I can safely say that every aspect of the experience has been positive. Having been on the larger end of the music scene, Joel is very knowledgeable in the art of recording, mixing, and mastering, as well as being very talented multi-instrumentally. Not only that, I think Joel could tell the difference between a sneeze in the background at 24 db and a sneeze at 25 db, because his ear is that good! He also knows, and will set you up with, some great, clean-playing, studio musicians to add the sound of your new record. If you are looking to record anything, and don't have a million dollar contract to reprise records, Joel is definitely the best local engineer you could find, especially at the price! You will not only be happy with the sound of the album, but will likely come out a better musician in the process!

Planet Sunday is everything a professional recording environment should be. I've done six full recordings at Planet Sunday and I'm excited to do more in the future.
