Portage-Cragin Branch, Chicago Public Library

We went to this library branch for the first time today, and had a great experience. The man at the desk around 5 pm on 10/19/22 was SUCH a big help and very friendly. I needed to print something last minute. I was able to use the computer and print 10 pages for free which was really nice. They seem to have a big selection of books and movies, and my kids liked it there so we'll definitely be going back soon!

Very underrated branch, certainly my new favorite . Much easier to get to by bus than the Logan Square branch, great selection of books and the librarians are super friendly. Also love that there’s a Cermak across the street - can get all of my errands done, and the Belmont bus comes very often.

Pretty awesome place and, when you go there enough times, they remember you and keep up with your visits and conversation/requests. Very personable. It's mostly quiet. They, and the gentleman who cleans, keep it pretty organized and tidy, too.

Portage park one of the a few truly beautiful and family friendly parks of Chicago the whole neighborhood is a great place to live and enjoy life and raise your children my father once told me that you can truly know how healthy a neighborhood is by how diverse the people of that neighborhood is and Portage park is truly beautiful and diverse and the people are very polite and helpful and friendly and it's a great family oriented community and I am of the house of elohim

I needed help replacing my library card and scanning some papers. The gentleman at the front was friendly, helpful, and had a lot of patience for all my questions. It was great to see all the precautions in place to stop the spread of Covid. Thank you for your hard work.

A very fundamental every day place for all of your helpful needs between reading and researching on the computer, as well as a quiet time to spend a day.

The lady with a light accent by entrance was super nice, extremely professional and very pleasant.
P.s. Called her before I went there, and had a very consistent and warm conversation, explaining me exactly what to do.

Best library I've been to so far. Very nice, consistent, and content people who mind every person who walks in. Very nice and quiet with an occasionally one child running about. I like this library and will continue to visit it.
