The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection

So my wife and I went to the Grand Hotel for a 34th anniversary. We have been living here in the area for five years and we have heard of the Grand but we have never been there. What a tremendous mistake we made. The food was fantastic. Everything was delicious and it didn’t matter which one of the several restaurants on site that we went to. We had an excellent time. The room was large and luxurious, everything from comfortable beds to a humongous bath, we loved it. And the service, everybody was nice, Helpful, and accommodating. There is no way that I could not go back here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel. It is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Plus we had a fabulous meal at the Southern Roots Restaurant. We are already looking forward to our next visit. I would give them 10 starts if I could!

This review is based on two trips my wife and I took to ‘The Grand’ after discovering it this Fall. Wow! It is everything you want in a resort: insular, intimate, well-maintained and boasting a staff who works hard to ensure you don’t have to. I will review the various bars and restaurants separately, but they are all wonderful. Resort-specific highlights included the walking paths along the beach/ocean, views from the rooms, outdoor hot tub and indoor spa. There are a thousand other nice little touches for you to discover that I won’t spoil here. A truly magical place!

Stopped in for lunch with friends. The grounds are gorgeous. Can't imagine what they would be like in season. Service at the restaurant was great, food was fantastic.

Absolutely amazing place and worth every penny. From the friendly person at the gate, to check-in, to every single team-member I encountered, it is fabulous. Very comfortable rooms. Spread out over a large area, so they have shuttles to get you quickly from place-to-place. Food was excellent, both catered for event and in the restaurants.

Of note, in Bucky's Lounge, Troy was friendly, helpful and a great conversationalist. I had Sunday brunch in the Grand Hall - Harrington Napier took care of my every need, checking back at the right frequency, without being overwhelming. Chef Tasha made the best omelet I think I've ever had.

I can't wait to get back again, if nothing more than to be around such positive, happy and friendly people. Obviously, they work hard on their culture and environment, and it shows.

Everything was awesome!! The service was top notch. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food and drinks were tasty!! My favorite food was the spinach and artichoke dip and my favorite drinks were the Draculas lament from 1847 bar and the bourbon-ade! The pool was nice and quiet. The hot tub was warm and we had it all to ourselves. We had massages, which were relaxing and I had a pedicure that was one of the best I've had. We will be making this an annual trip!! 💜💜

We just spent a few days at the resort celebrating our anniversary. The attention to detail throughout the property is outstanding. Every need or want was met by all employees we encountered, and with a smile. Special thanks to Hutch at Bucky’s Lounge. He and his team went over and above with their hospitality. Make sure if you stay here that you visit Bucky’s lounge!

I came to The Grand to be a part of the Alabama Governor's Conference on tourism's award dinner and spent one night and two days. The front desk staff were very accommodating and I asked for a late checkout which they granted till 2:00 p.m. so that I could explore the property more. When I came back through the lobby several hours later they remembered my name.  All staff went above and beyond to be courteous and make sure whatever guests needed to have a good stay or handled to the best of their abilities. This property impressed me more than almost any other hotel I've ever stayed at in my travels. There are multiple buildings spread out on the property that you can be housed in some have balconies some do not. I was able to get a room with a balcony overlooking the Mobile Bay and had the stunning view of the sunset. This is not a cheap property but I still think it's well worth the price and the memories that you make while you're there. I've been before and I look forward to going back again!

The majesty of this place, set back among ancient trees and gorgeous tracts with mansions nestled all around it, waterscapes in almost every direction. In a world of everchanging timelines, this hotel is a terrific timepiece. If it weren't so big, it would probably be in the Smithsonian.

OMG this place was absolutely stunning! We had a room in the Marina building facing the pools but the walk and the beauty of everything was worth so much more! We will be back!! The first lady we dealt with was unpleasant but nothing is perfect and i refuse to let one bad apple ruin everything.

Such and elegant atmosphere. Very rich in customer service and hospitality. Polite people and welcoming. I wish we could do another week and that spa is a major thing. Couldn’t ask for a better time.

The most laid back environment. Perfect rooms fun bar and the indoor pool was perfect for a day when it was raining and cold

An absolute dream!

The food is excellent, the staff is warm and friendly... the beds are simply magical(the best mattress and pillows I have use at a hotel in years)!

The beaches are clean and obviously well maintained.

The area is rich with wild life and beautifully maintained grounds.

The various bars and restaurants are elevated with talented musicians playing long into the majestic evenings.

You will not regret staying here.

Great location on the Mobile Bay, fantastic meticulously kept grounds, rooms are a bit old feeling and "campy" in main building but bathrooms nice.

My massage experience was amazing. I highly suggest Amber Rose. Just what you need for true relaxation and pampering.

The staff at the grand is amazing and super sweet. Sheldon (in transportation services) is one of the best and he is a fantastic candidate to be the assistant manager. Thank you guys!!

This is my favorite place to visit in the south. We are somewhat local and even enjoy just going out for a nice dinner and drinks out by the fire pit. Very beautiful inside and out.

First time to this resort. Definitely a place we will go back to visit. We loved everything about it- service, location & amenities were all fantastic. Beautiful property!

Amazing place…I hesitate posting this because it can be hard to book and I’d like to keep this place a secret. The hotel is so awesome, the food in the restaurants is terrific, the service is top notch and the amenities are first class.

Shelley in house keeping is amazing. She was so kind and helpful and found my lost shoe! Thank you Shelley and the security staff at the grand!
