This 5 star is for the Rockford store only. We were first at the Machesney store to start with for metal fascia and soffit covering. The self for the materials we need had one piece of each plus were damaged. The lady that came over to assist us greeted us and we showed her what we needed. She said she would check the stock in the back. She found it and returned to us informing she was going to need some help. I offered to help but she all ready called for help. I see two guys meet her in the cross isle. She shows them what she needed to get off the shelf. Next thing she is coming back to us with a embarrassed like look to inform us they were all out of both items. From her look I suspect they told her to tell us that bit of information because they didn't want to get it off the back wall and they didn't know she all ready informed us that she found the items. So sorry that lady has to work in those conditions.

Big, Busy Store, but the employees who work there are too notch, eager to help you find what you need. Mark in Lumber was awesome, KC in Hardware was funny and very helpful

Home Depot used to be a place you'd go and you could have caring helpful people helping you out not so much anymore

So... I'm really a Menards guy, BUT... after purchasing some storage totes for my friend, I've warmed up to HD.
They ARE.... very helpful and I appreciate that.

As I said, for me, the best place for buying material and tools to remodele a house.

Yesterday I went to home depot of Rockford IL after purchasing a grill on the website the previous year and after having multiple issues with the product and going back and forth with the manufacturer for almost 2 month and getting nowhere. After spending almost $1200 on a smoker/grill I would expect it to last many years not less then 8 months. After working with the service desk with Sarah, Luanna and Vikki specifically they went above and beyond to help fixs my concerns. There customer service was not only helpful but also helpful to my families time crunch needs. These 3 employees will continue to keep me and my family life long customers of home depot of Rockford. Thanks for doing a amazing job and providing top notch customer service

Mikey in the electrical department is a godsend. He saved the day for me. Knowledgeable man who took his time with me and explained everything in detail. My project went extremely well.

Last Saturday my truck broke down and I really needed to get ten 4x8 sheets of OSB for a home remodel. I ran into HD and ten minutes later I had a truck rented for $20. I'm a small woman so two gentlemen in building supplies loaded up the boards I needed. (I think Jeff and Paul). I was out of the store in like 20 minutes and didn't have to lift a finger. You surely don't get service like this at Menards or Lowes. I bought a few boards at Menards the week before and none of the employees knew where it was and it took about an hour to get out of there. Never again. Thanks HD for having knowledgeable staff and the willingness to help customers.

We went to pick up poly insulation with a trailer. The website said there were 20 in stock but the store only two when we got there, and the other store near us didn't have any in stock. I spoke wirh Bogdan the GM and he helped waived the delivery fee so it would come to our home the next day. Great customer service!

staff is always kind and happy to help. they do not run like the one in Lake Genega when you try to wave them down.
check out is smooth and always has an associate there to help.
