Hidden Hollow Campground

Campground near an open air rifle range so you will hear gunshots at 7pm at night and again at 7am in morning.

Free campsite but you have to self register.

Brilliant little free campground! Well maintained, very quiet and secluded other than the gun ranges nearby. The grounds are located 10 miles from Steubenville, which is a really cool little town chock full of history. If you're in the area, check it out - there are vibrant murals all over the town.

As you can see from the photos, the campground doesn't appear to be very busy. It was empty when we arrived and it maxed out at maybe 6 groups over the weekend. Plenty of shade and decent Verizon signal. We pulled 2-3 bars consistently.

Would definitely stay here again, but I'd wait for the stink bug swarms to calm down. They ran us off 9 days before we wanted to leave!

Nice little campground to spend a night or two , trails to hike in the area. Shooting ranges right down the road.

Camped 3 nights in mid-March. Nice free campground with paved sites. Short hiking trails nearby. Free shooting range 1/4 mile away. Shooting allowed during daylight hours only. Has trash cans, gray water pits and one well water hand pump.

Clean and quiet. The restroom was a bit scary, though. Was worried one of my little ones would fall into the latrine. There is no safety for that. Was a legit concern

Very quaint and cozy place. Usually quiet. Show up, park, fill out two little cards, one at the campsite and one in the collection box, boom your camping. No pottable water as the water well is not far enough from the latrine, though I have seen people use it. Do not use the water bring your own.

Beautiful campsite. Besides the shooting from the range, it is very quiet and peaceful. No shower room, but there are toilets. No water.

Very well upkept. Nice campground for a free campground. There is nighttime wildlife here so make sure to put up all your food.

Can't beat the price! Nice spacious sites for tenting. Pit toilets. Nice tar road all the way in.

Very nice quiet place to camp. We have a 30' tow behind and had no problems navigating the paved roads and site pads. We stayed two nights and will be returning in the future. If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, this is the place. The ranges were closed for renovation so no shooting while we were there. Bill, Kathy and Gabbie from Western NY.

Free campsite (it says so on their website link, it's just hard to find, do Ctrl-F and search "fee"). Best free campsite we've ever been to! Big rig and tent friendly, paved road all the way up to and through the campsite! Nice pit toilets too even!

Small primitive campground. Paved parking, grass tent pads, pit toilets, no water, shooting range outside the campground, wooded. Quiet when I was there. Mostly shaded. One of the best no frills Campgrounds I've been to and I live out of my car. And... It's free

We've enjoyed our stay here in our 40' skoolie. Will stay again.

The toilets need cleaning and repairs but ita free and the rest of the campground is pretty clean.

Beautiful. If going on a weekend, arrive as early as possible to ensure a site, they fill up quick and are limited.
