Greenville Technical College

(Updated to 5 stars after attending 👍) Register yourself if you can, and look at your programs requirements by yourself. The advisors aren’t very helpful. 2 diff advisors told me false and misleading info. They seemed to not want to do anything beyond the bare minimum. College looks pretty clean.

Update: So originally my review was 2/5 stars because of the bad experience getting in. Now that I’m here, I love this college.

They have a beautiful student success center. A nice library complete with a cafeteria. Their online services: web advisor, blackboard, GTC website. Are wayyyy better than the last college I attended.

The professors are really cool for the most part and I can’t believe I have only about a month to go before fall semester is up. Plus GTC is close by to a ton of nice coffee shops like summer moon, Starbucks, and Greenville downtown is a few minutes away. So after classes end you can explore the city.

Also there’s a ymca not too far away where u can workout, go swimming, etc. The location is fantastic. Only thing that’s annoying for me is the traffic to get into Greenville every morning seems to be getting more congested.

I have loved everything about Greenville Tech! Seriously!
I changed my major many times first enrolled at Spartanburg Community College then USC Upstate and took a break. I discovered an excellent career path and Greenville Tech has seriously been invaluable. Tuition is affordable and the advisors are helpful the nursing educators are fantastic, financial aid office has been so helpful and reassuring they take time to walk you through their system unlike the previous school I attended and that makes all the difference. Thank you GVLTech!

One of my favorite places in the world. When I was aimless after I got out of the military, this place gave me pride, a sense of purpose and direction. I can’t say enough about the instructors and the programs in themselves. If you go to take mathematics classes, make sure you choose Mark Golwitzer as your instructor. Trust me you will have a blast.

I have been attending this school for a year now and I love it. The campus is well maintained and they have food options for people like me, who work full time and attends school at night and doesn't have an option to eat elsewhere. I am well informed about events and things that are happening at the college. Would highly recommend to others.

This is a great school and is very affordable. If you are not a procrastinator and you get all of your work done on time, you study, and you don't waste time you will succeed in anything, including GTC. I am on my second semester, and i cannot find anything wrong with the school. The admissions and fin aid is fast at answering my questions, and all of the professors and administration answer their emails promptly.
I love how small the classes are, and that we don't have school on Fridays. Couldn't be happier with a school at this moment.

Greenville Tech is a great school with great instructors. My only problem was my advisor for the PTA program. She didn't give me correct information & basically told me to change my major because I wouldn't have enough "points" to get in which was a lie. She saw me struggling in certain classes but never gave me the option to take an easier course that would count same as the class that I was struggling in. I finally switched my major to OTA because I thought she knew what she was talking about. My new advisor is excellent he told me everything I needed to know and gave me options on other classes that I could take!

Greenville Tech is a great place! It offers so many diverse options for students as well as a positive, collaborative environment for faculty and staff. Take a class just to learn something new, obtain a two-year degree or technical certification, or begin your four-year degree with some savings! You'll love the atmosphere, and your budget will love the savings!

I am a current student at Greenville tech. and I like it. Everyone there is really helpful, and they want to help you. I like all my professors, but I have heard some horror stories about others so make sure you use Rate My professor. They have tons of programs to help, like tutoring, and advising, that are included in your tuition and are completely free. I dropped out of high school and college is completely different and fun. I have a 4.0 gpa. You have to put in the effort but it's worth it :) Also about the admissions and financial aid, you do have to wait about an hour for each, but its worth it for the program. Plus you can do it all online. Idk I think these people are just butt hurt because I think it's an awesome school

I had better criminal justice teachers here than at Clemson. I also had a really good American government teacher. It's definitely somewhere to at least get started in your college journey.

Let me just start by saying that although I myself have had a few scares with my financial aid (a few calls easily fixed my worries) throughout my two years here at Greenville Tech, I have nonetheless enjoyed my time here and Brian Cranny is absolutely the best adviser you can ask for when you do Criminal Justice! He's quick to reply to emails and has always helped me when figuring out what classes to say next. I'll hopefully graduate this Fall, but this college is excellent if you do some background on which teacher to take ahead of time and have everything planned out. Study hard and do your best and you will definitely succeed here. I took online classes for my second half of the year as I didn't really enjoy their housing (at one point my apartment caught on fire because of some upstairs drunks who then tried to beat me up, alas I was down the hall with a few friends so they didn't find me and they weren't kicked out for several weeks while I had to stay in a crappy hotel and then just wound up sleeping on my friend's couch because I was paying to live in an apartment, not some crappy roach motel. $3100 per semester I might add.) but when I lived at home, went to school for a class or test here and there it was so much easier. Thanks Greenville Tech.

The CE representative and Instructor Shawn was excellent. The course explained the new Carrier and Bryant Ductless mini split system available for your residential and commercial applications. Thank you Greenville tech and Carrier enterprises.

Great pricing for classes! I decided to go back to school and Greenville Tech was the perfect choice. I love my professors and all of my classes transfer to 4-year schools.

The quality of education here is great! All the opportunities are here for you and you get out what you put into it. All my professors have been great and I am looking forward to transferring to a four year university!

The place is awesome I went inside to do some tests so I can get applied there and stuff and that place is awesome that's the coolest College I've ever been in

The cosmetology school for hair is awesome at tech! They do a excellent job for a great price!

Great community college couldnt have furthered my education without them. Mostly great instructors and they all seem to care.
