I don’t give too many 5 stars but I was very impressed with Spankies. Sophie our waitress was amazing, very personable and happy to make sure everything was right. She alone was worth 5 stars. The drinks were generous. We both had the oriental salad. The salad seemed fresh with actual chicken breast, wontons and we added avacado. I highly encourage checking this place out. We will be back.

I had to go here just because of the name and it was local place that I was happy to patronize. The food was pretty good although I have had better sirloin. The au jus sauce was excellent though. The staff was very nice and checked in often. I do recommend visiting this restaurant as I think they had many items on the menu that sounded really good. I do recommend if you are travelling through Cookeville to give this place a try

The chip & guacamole are amazing You get more chips than you could imagine!
The Tuna Tartar was A first for me I’ve never had that and my friend who took me to lunch there, ordered it, and I tried a bite, and it was actually surprisingly very good. I’ve never had tartar and was skeptical, but the presentation, the flavor, and everything about it was amazing. The Thai lettuce wraps, if I’m being honest were a little underwhelming that was the only thing that I didn’t love at Spankies
I ordered the chicken tostada salad and it did not disappoint I will definitely be ordering that again. Next time I go. The atmosphere was great for a casual lunch with friends or even a date spot. We ate inside. They also have outdoor seating the staff amazing.

Our first time eating here and it was the best! I had the Jack Daniels Chicken w/ Basmati Rice and Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes! My cousin's dish was Fish (Grouper) and Chips, instead of chips she got Yukon Potato Salad, Southern Slaw and Fried Okra. We were given a couple slices of complementary Spankies Bread after we sat down and it was delicious! We were able to eat about half of our meals before we were full! This is a local place that has been in business for over 30 years. Jordan our waitress was an absolute delight!

Me and the wife on a day date found this great little place in Cookeville. The food was great, the staff nice and polite and the prices were perfect.

This is where you go to feel like you’re around family. They serve you bread at the beginning of your meal that is fantastic. The drinks are strong and the staff will point you right! The menus huge! So make sure it comes recommended when you order.

Fun and quirky atmosphere just the start of a pleasant surprise!! I ordered the special of the day which was enough for two of us to share. First visit and wish our stay was longer to try more dishes. Service was a refreshing experience of professional and fun!

Our first visit was wonderful. The ambiance was fantastic. Service was so pleasant and accommodating. I'm planning a return trip soon. Worth a two hour drive!

I love there food and you can have a drink or 2 while waiting for your take out order I don't like being forced to give 18% for the waitress the tip should reflect how good or bad my waitress

We live this place and come here very often. The ambience is just right for a restaurant bar with the right decor and music. The service was excellent every time and the food is delicious.

If there ever was a better bar in the universe, don't tell me about it cuz imma be at Spakie's. Already. Be sure to catch Stephanie behind the bar on the weekends. She is the absolute best, objectively...the best. 🌟 ser yall soon. Save some prime rib pour moi.

Was looking for the "local taste" of Cookeville and definitely found it here. Awesome divey but nice local atmosphere. Cool bar area. Prices and staff great.

This place is definitely worth a visit! Warm, friendly atmosphere and absolutely delicious meal.

Spankies is that place where the cool kids in college hangout. It's a place for people with good taste in life. The locals grace the dinner with their presence and you can just embrace the chatter and laughter in the atmosphere with good food & a wide selection of drinks. Decorations are classy, woody & gives you a feeling of nostalgia. I had the Hunter's chicken meal, I enjoyed it😊

GREAT place to eat? Different spots available, great tacos and excellent ambient. I'd say is not expensive but isn't cheap, it is a fair price por excellent food.

Their slogan says it all - Spankies: As Good As It Gets. The best atmosphere for good food and refreshments with an awesome staff and great patrons.

Came in as a party of 6. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the free bread, and the food. We always enjoy local spots when visiting new places. But if you have a cheeseburger beware it has mayo on it and it doesn’t say it does on the menu. LOL
