What an incredible place! If you even remotely enjoy stained glass, you owe it to yourself to make the drive! World class collection of English stained glass, mostly from residences, however, there are a few spectacular church windows on site too. They do high-end antique shows all over the country and ship internationally. All out of this unassuming building in Pittsboro NC!

They have beautiful leaded glass windows. I'm sure out of the hundreds of beautiful sizes you can find one to put in as a window or hang in one. They also have old church stained glass.
A must see . One of our treasured local artists.

I could have stayed here for hours looking at all of their beautiful pieces. We bought piece for my mother for Christmas and she loves it. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, absolutely gorgeous work.

Very cool place for stained glass windows. Lots of Old English style windows. We found a small window for $80. Most windows were out of our price range but there was quality stained glass. Very nice doors with stained glass too. We always wanted to stop as we passed by on Hwy 64 between Siler City and Pittsboro

The place is absolutely amazing!! So many stained glass windows, I'm not sure how long it would take to look at them all . The staff is awesome and welcoming!! We bought one piece. I can't wait to go back and get another one.

It’s inspirational to explore the amazing selection of recovered stained and cut glass pieces. A truly unique resource and fun place to visit even if you don’t have a specific project in mind.

The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating, even when I arrived 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday. The huge wind Spinners really caught my eye - when driving to Asheboro, NC. So, I told myself : "Self, if you see those amazing, huge, metal wind Spinners - you must stop at this place and check them out!". So, I did scurry into the huge store, filled with LOTS of stained glass items, but went straight to the shop owner to ask her about the Huge, colorful wind Spinners. I picked the Largest spinner, paid for it, and she walked out with me to show me how to grab the 1 that I wanted. She even made sure that I could get it fit into my car. This spinner is from Mexico and is truly gorgeous. I'd highly recommend Paynes Glass & Antiques for all of your Stained Glass & Cool Wind Spinner shopping. They even have a web page, that I have yet to visit. Keep up the great work, Paynes Glass & Antiques!

Breathtaking! We were treasure hunting on our way to a show in Raleigh and stopped here. The owner walked with us giving history of many pieces and explaining his process for restoring them. We plan to go back when we have time to choose one of these works of art.

Hands down the best stained glass selection anywhere with antique style from England. They just got a new shipment in on 9/15/22

I went here to have two round stained glass windows reframed. The work was done promptly and they look beautiful. In addition, they sell some of the most gorgeous pieces of antique stained glass doors, windows, and accessories from England. I was told by one of the owners that the newest piece they sell dates back to 1938, just prior to WW II.

A rare treat for the area. Highly recommend! A seemingly endless inventory of beautiful stained glass antique windows and other treats, only outdone by the wonderful couple that owns the business. Six years ago we happened onto this business just off 64 slightly west of Pittsboro NC and purchased a small stained glass window from the 1800’s that hangs in our kitchen. Last week we went back and purchased 2 more from some stock that hadn’t yet made it into the main store. The couple helped us locate and clean up the windows before loading them. They also gave a slight discount on purchase of the 2 windows they estimate were used in an English building from 1880-1900 era. Prices were reasonable considering the age, quality, beauty, and origin of the glass.

Great place to find antique stained glass at a very reasonable price. We just purchased a three piece set of windows for our new home, and will definitely be returning for more to accent our library. Most pieces are imported from Europe/England and date back to 18 and early 1900's. There's also a nice selection of new pieces that I believe are crafted by the in-house artist/owner. Very friendly owner and staff who also know the history of the pieces they sell. I'd highly recommend visiting if you're looking for quality stained glass with some history behind it. Plan on at least a couple hours to browse and choose, they've got a massive selection!

Awesome company, Awesome stained glass! I met one of the owners, John, at an antique show and they had so many great pieces of glass, but not exactly what I wanted in size and color. So, I made the trip to North Carolina to see their shop.

All antique, of various periods, and many are of different sizes and shapes, albeit with the same design. This is great if you're doing a house and want to follow to same pattern throughout the house.

Prices are fair, and service is great! They packaged and shipped the glass at a very reasonable cost ($30?? for two pieces). The packaging was excellent and the glass arrived in Florida intact.

I would strongly recommend for anyone looking for antique stained glass. This is, perhaps, the best place that I have ever visited for stained glass.

Do you like stained glass? Because they have a huge warehouse of stained glass windows from England. So much to look at and take in, dont expect to be there for a short time. Unless you know exactly what you're looking for, it will take awhile. It's kinda amazing, I feel pretty lucky to live within driving distance.

Oh what an oh so awesome experience! The glass as well as the antiques are exquisite! So much history , under one roof! Mr. Stevenson offered a wonderful and informative tour and demonstration of repair to a stained glass window. Thanks for allowing us to visit !!

Enjoy every visit to this place. The Paynes are knowledge and helpful. So glad that they are saving all these old stained glass windows from the old row houses being replaced in England.

All I can say is Wow! All this stained/painted glass windows and doors come from England. The largest collection I have seen under one roof. The two English gentlemen customized a piece for my sister. Master craftsmen and a lady who did the work in short order.
