Los Arcoiris Mexican Restaurant

A hidden gem. This restaurant has been around since 1991, as the first Mexican restaurant in the high country. We stopped in after hiking and they accommodated our large party. We had friendly service, delicious food and reasonable prices too. Highly recommend!

Food was super delicious and authentic! Portions are properly sized, the first time I ate everything on my plate in a Mexican restaurant.
People are kind and attentive.

I was not disappointed, and Ive had more than my fair share of different Mexican restaurants. Everything is very reasonably priced. And yes, the salsa was good. Not too tomatoe-y and not pepper-y. If you're thinking about it, just do it.

To be the only place in the area to eat, I was quite impressed! Los Arcoiris managed to handle our large group expertly and expeditiously. The food was delicious and filling. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals.

I am fron out of town and while exploring the area I stopped in for lunch. Service was very quick and friendly. Food was excellent! And I have to praise the salsa, I always judge by how good the salsa is and this one was exceptional! Check this place out!

We ate there twice and the leftovers carried us for a third time. Tremendous food especially the combination with the chile relleno and tamale. Enchiladas Banderas were also excellent. Service is quick and everybody is friendly and helpful. It's not surprising that the place is jammed full of local people.

Very prompt and professional service. Chips and salsa refills offered. Drinks never got empty. Food was fresh, delicious and generously portioned.

It's strange. Whenever I find myself out in the woods (in this case an Airbnb off of the Blue Ridge parkway), there maybe nothing in the way of good, nearby restaurants but somehow there is always a really good Mexican restaurant. This time was no exception. My only regret is that we weren't around long enough to sample more of their menu.

Can’t rave enough about this establishment. We had 35+ people in our party. They took us at the last moment after our other plans fell through.
Food came out hot, and the service was impeccable, accommodating in every way!!! Not sure why their reviews aren’t higher.
Lots of different foods ordered, I had the Chile Rellenas, they were so good. Everyone loved their food!!

This is a great Mexican restaurant in an area with few options. Been here multiple times now working on a project nearby and I think I like it more each time I go. My son loves the huge California Burrito and I choose something different each time. Have not found a loser yet and looking forward to the next visit.

We've been living in the area for a few years now, and always pass this place on the way in and out of town.

Today we were on our way back from hiking the Hawksbill trail and finally got the opportunity to stop for lunch.

This the absolute best Mexican food I've had in a very, very long time. Some chips and salsa, a couple beers, and chimichangas were the perfect end to our afternoon.

So glad we stopped, and will be coming back, as this is our new Mexican restaurant spot.

Good and fast service. Fantastic food. We ordered 3 different items from the vegetarian menu and lived the taste of each of those. Highly recommend this place.

We always eat here. This is our go to Mexican place. Everything is great.

Been here twice and every time it has been top notch service! The lady working front of the house makes sure all of the customers are taken care of and happy! Also must say both times she has been the most happiest person I have seen in awhile. Filled with JOY which is what our world needs. Didn't take pictures at the restaurant but a couple from the mountains near by.

We came for an early dinner. I am not a fan of Mexican food at all so came here with trepidation. We had the Mexican street tacos, the el Pastor and Toruca. We also order an appetizer, chorizo queso dip. The tacos were amazing! So was the appetizer. We finished off the meal with homemade flan, again delicious! The picture shows two tacos but it actually came with three. Prices were very reasonable. Appetizers, two taco plates, flan and a beer, total was $38 not including tip. This place is a gem.
