Comfort Suites Southport - Oak Island

The rooms were lovely a little beachy smelling and the beds are 2 full size not queen size. The staff was really kind and the breakfast phenomenal. Thankful they are pet friendly and even gave us a goodie bag for the babies. We will be back :)

My Husband and I took a little mini vacy and stayed at this hotel. I have to say that this hotel was one of the nicest Comfort Suites that we have stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot of the years. The staff was super nice and willing to help with anything we needed. The rooms are some of the spacious ones I have ever seen. The location is perfect. Once you checked in, they offered us cookies and some tea that they had sitting out for all of their guests along with freshly made popcorn. I would 100 percent recommend this hotel to anyone that is in that area and looking for a place to stay. This hotel is one of the cleanest ones that I have ever stepped foot into. Rates are great as well. Breakfast in the morning is offered with a wide variety of things to choose from. My only regret is staying for only one night there.

We loved it there. Staff was amazing. Room was amazing. Cookies at the desk delicious. We have booked another 4 day stay there next month.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Pets are welcome. Our room had no carpet so that's a plus with pet friendly hotel. Popcorn and cookies are served for the guests. Price is affordable for a budget. Hot breakfast is served clean and yummy every morning. The staff are super friendly. It is a 2 min drive to all your shopping needs. There is a Dollar general and family dollar all over the city around every corner. The beach is 6 mins away. Will come back very soon. Thank you.

I loved this place awesome rooms clean and comfortable and you can tell they used top quality ved sheets that made it even better breakfast bar was ok I would definitely stay here again

Super nice folks here and let us use their SuperCharger even though we weren’t staying at the place. We called ahead and they got us out of a pinch by letting us charge up! Very friendly front desk staff. Also super close to Bald Head Island Ferry. Would definitely stay here if we needed to on a future trip.

We needed a pet friendly hotel and this property was perfect. Outstanding front desk service. Super convenient for our doodles to do their thing. We will be back when the opportunity arises.

Can’t beat this hotel for the price. Value is great. Clean room, ev charging, friendly staff. Will definitely book again if I’m in the area.

Pet friendly! Wonderful breakfast! Excellent room! Fantastic service. We booked through T-Mobile Tuesday for a one night stay. We were grateful to find out they accepted our four legged fur-baby. He even got a goodie bag just for him. The room was huge! It had a king size bed, large shower, a desk and even a couch. There was plenty of room for all three of us. Breakfast was truly a hot breakfast. Waffles, juice, pastries, cereal, biscuits and gravy and more! This was the second best hotel we have ever stayed at. One being Disney. Highly recommend!

Great service at front desk Hunter knows all to our many questions. And he had great coffee ready!. Clean and new looking organized and smart design. Large rooms and safe. What more could you ask a great pool to.

You can't get a better room or a better staff. This place was amazing. Very, very clean. Best breakfast I've had in ever. Staff loved their jobs and it showed. Wow!!!!! Hope my journeys bring me back. Best hotel/motel ever. Should probably charge more. WOW!!!!

The hotel was just a short drive to the beach and was located in a convenient location and the area we were in we felt safe. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable and the hotel itself was very clean and you could smell that it was clean no stinky or musky smells. We had our two small dogs with us so we stayed in a pet friendly room and our dogs could not tell other dogs/pets had been there and we were given a guest bag for each of our pups that included a cute letter addressed to them and a bottle of water, a disposable water bowl, a dog treat and waste bag. Also next door is a Veteranarian office. All the hotel staff we encountered was very friendly and very attentive to any needs we had. The breakfast offered in the morning that is included with your stay is an awesome bonus. We were only there to enjoy breakfast 2 mornings and those two mornings lots of choices were offered including eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, belgian waffles, muffins, bagels, English muffins, cinnamon rolls, several types of cereal, yogurt, several types of fruit and probably a few things I missed seeing, I'd say it was just about anything you would want for breakfast. Drinks offered were coffee, orange juice, apple juice, milk and probably a few other choices I didn't see. The food was very good, the breakfast room was kept very clean and tidy and the ladies taking care of the breakfast and breakfast room were so friendly and on top of things. Also through the day in the lobby they have a popcorn machine with free popcorn, a stand with free cookies and free coffee and seems like there was something else snack wise I'm forgetting lol. We were greatly pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again

The only complaint we have is we stayed on a ground level floor and the curtains could not be closed because the track they were on were short for each side so there was only a sheer and you could pretty much see through it but thankfully there was a tree outside the window that helped and we found a safety pen in my makeup box and was able to pull the curtains together toward the bottom and pin them to keep them closed. And also the rooms have carpet and that is a downside if pets are allowed even though we didn't see stains and there was no apparent smell/odor and our dogs didn't notice other dogs or pets had been there we just think its not a good idea at all for carpet where pets are allowed because accidents do happen and not all dogs or pets are housebroken or well behaved and it is much harder to clean from carpet than a tiled or hard type surface and if someone fails to clean properly dogs will notice and think its ok to relieve themselves. Thankfully we had no issues with that. Even with that being said we would still stay here again.

First, I'd like to qualify what I'm about comment. I'm a Marine veteran, I've stayed in hotels in the Far east, Middle east, Europe, Mexico, California, Texas, Illinois, Arizona, Nevada, Missouri, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, the list goes on.... Comfort Suites Southport surpassed all my expectations. Thank you Casey and Forest for giving my 94 year old mother the time of her life. Your entire staff is awesome. I always read reviews in advance to staying at a hotel. Whoever wrote negative reviews on your hotel needs to get a life. Thank you for all you do. Keep up the great work.

It was SOoo comforting to see the christian books in the front lobby and a WONDERFUL surprise to get a Bible in our room 🙌🙌🙌.

Well maintained rooms and they have pop corn in the lobby. Only issue was that you have to make a U turn to get in if you are coming from the main side of the street.

We booked a short stay here and couldn’t have had a better experience. The room was clean and when requested we were immediately given extra towels and blankets. They are pet friendly and even had welcome gifts for our pets in the room! They do not discriminate on breed and warmly welcomed my two huskys. The manager recommended a great restaurant and was a joy to chat with! 5/5 for a cheap, clean room about 10 minutes from the beach.

Basically my second home. Love this place. Very clean. Super friendly. Dog friendly.

Guest services was very good. Nice, clean rooms. Morning breakfast was awesome! A large part was the wonderful employee that was taking care of the breakfast room. She definitely served above and beyond. I will stay here again.

We were looking for a dog friendly place to stay over labor day weekend. This hotel was incredibly accommodating for our big standard poodle. Our favorite thing was the beds. They were so comfortable we considered purchasing a new bed for our home! The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast options were good too. The room kind of smelled like dog, but I think that's to be expected. The rest of the hotel smelled great, for those who are not staying in a pet friendly room. Everyone handled their dogs really well too. We would see one in the distance but never had to pass someone and their dog, again for anyone who may not be into dogs. I would absolutely stay again and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit the beach with their ENTIRE family, fur babies included.
