Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Southport

Good location, friendly staff and nice clean rooms. Usually stay here a few times a year and I'm never disappointed. It's the little things like having breakfast ready a little earlier than advertised for the guys going to work 👌

Every single staff member I had the pleasure to talk to was super friendly and very polite. All the way from the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the young lady who made breakfast. Everything was pretty clean. The shower was HUGE. They supplied a full sized bottle of everything already in the shower. It was a lovely lavender and eucalyptus fragrance. They have a really nice stock in their little store, better than any other hotel I’ve been to personally. It’s close to the beach for those who are wanting to go. There is a lovely pizzeria (which also has seafood and more) right across the street if you don’t feel like driving to get food somewhere else. There is also a laundry room (the machines take coins and cards). If I ever had to go back to the area, I will definitely be coming back here.

This little place was a real oasis for two weary campers coming in off the road. The entrance opens to a beautiful desk area. The front desk personnel were courteous and friendly. We were promptly assigned a room on the first floor. There are luggage carts available to make unloading easier. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were a little lacking, but if you are tired and road weary then you won't even notice. There were 6 pillows for two people (a real win!!) There was a mini fridge and microwave. A mini coffee maker was in the room as well All the things to make coffee. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. Lots of vanity space and a large walk in shower filled the room nicely. Large bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner were attached to the shower wall. Our room had a full length mirror, a large closet and an adjoining door. There was ample towels and a hair dryer. The gym and computer/copy are were on the way to our room....centrally located to the lobby and elevator to upstairs. Tge gym was quiet large for a hotel gym. The breakfast bar was huge with something available for all tastes. Coffee and juice were plentiful. The seating was ample in a sunlit breakfast room . There was even a bar with plugs for electronic devices. There was even a table outback for anyone who might need a little outdoor time. I also noticed an area beyond a hedgerow where a guest was running a dog. There is seating in the lobby, and bathrooms downstairs. There is a pool as well. There are several restaurant options available in the general area.

This is a clean and neat hotel, my wife and I come down here for business regularly. We like the breakfast and how well kept the place is. The staff is professional and welcoming, in today's environment it is nice to see hospitality is still important to management and owners.

Great place for the value. Staff was excellent. Location very good. Clean, well kept. Wish rooms had more sitting areas as usual! When it rains, would be helpful. Had a big room with enough room for sitting. Overall very happy with the stay. Took care of things right away.

Great accommodations, Great Service, Delicious Breakfast choices but no waffles on the weekend. Other than that Great stay..

Best place to stay in the area. We are down here once a month to see family and having a nice place to stay is very important. Rooms are immaculate, beds are comfy, the amenities are nice, breakfast is excellent, and the service is great. The location is hard to beat as well.

We are here to attend a wedding at 801 Oak Island. Just a short drive to this venue. This Fairfield is new and the staff is wonderful and very friendly. Parking is somewhat limited but you can always find a spot. Handicap parking is limited to 6 spaces with 2 van. There is a pool for small parties. Good size dining area and great breakfast. If we are this way again we will stay here for sure. It is hard to make a left turn out of the parking lot so we just make a right and make a u-turn down the road. It's a very busy road to the ferry down the way. Fun places to see and do. There is a Walgreens and food store close by.

The staff at this hotel was great every I encountered was super nice Shenice was very pleasant and friendly she deserves a raise she also took her time yo show me where to park my semi .I was there on business and we all agreed that this hotel was great and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and I definitely will come back

Clean, friendly, and a fantastic Italian restaurant right across the parking lot. This location was a win win.

Great location, clean rooms and supper friendly staff. Hotel sits on a main thoroughfare but rooms are very quiet. Staff is excellent. Only about 8 minutes to Oak Island beaches, 3 minutes to downtown Southport, and abut 6 minutes to the ferry ports. Free breakfast was good, but was the typical hotel breakfast fare. Gym and pool available too, we just didn't use them. Exceeded what I expected for the rate!

Hotel is about 3 miles from downtown Southport. I stayed here years ago before it was recently renovated (it needed it) and was reluctant to stay here again, but I have no qualms with the hotel.
Everything is clean, staff is constantly cleaning and mopping common areas, it's been refreshed and renovated. The hotel is quiet and in a good location.
Beds are kinda hard, wish they were a bit comfier, but otherwise it's been a decent stay.

Good value for a multiple night stay. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was pretty decent. The pool was out of order while we were there but that happens. Also, because of covid, you have to request housekeeping each day if you want them to clean your room.

After a couple of stays in hotels that were supposed to be nice but were not, this stay was wonderful! From the helpful young lady who checked us in, to the nice breakfast before checking out, everything was first class! The room was lovely—we especially enjoyed the walk in shower and nice soap/shampoo options!
The breakfast room was clean, attractive, and well stocked.
I would highly recommend the oatmeal with numerous yummy toppings—including coconut, candied pecans, craisins, and several more.
We will look for more Fairfield Inns from now on—hoping to have as nice an experience!

Nice newer Fairfield. Very convenient for working at Brunswick nuclear plant. Good location. Breakfast is nominally 6:30 but comes out a little early. A/C not the absolute strongest, but has a constant fan option. I can tell you I did sleep well here.

The room was impeccable! Clean, well stocked. The staff could in no way had been more friendly, or helpful. The breakfast was crazy good. The only way it could have been better is it had been on the beach. If there's a way to give it 10 stars, I would!

Great breakfast and friendly staff. Uncomfortable pillows and no ice machine on the 2nd floor would be my only complaint.

So i entered this establishment seeking out a hotel for extended family members that will recently be coming into town, bc unable to accommodate them all. The place was very clean, organized, efficient, and welcoming. However, what stood out to me most was the staff member who was working at the front desk, I believe her name was Kimberlee. Apparently, the internet was down and multiple guests were attacking her as though her job indicated in some way that she worked with IT/ internet services. Long story short, I was very impressed with her patience and ability to communicate under stress. I'm not sure what you guys pay, but want to pass this along in hopes that she benefits in some way for her character throughout this. At one point, I really thought a man was going to throw his glasses at her. I know times are tough (even McDonald's is starting pay at 15.50/hr); however, I do know good employees are hard to find. This is a good one, and she may be the manager and if so I hope you guys do what you can to keep her. Hats off to her for handling such a chaotic situation professionally and with grace. I just may recommend my extended family to this place after all.

Nice hotel with exceptional customer service. Room was clean, well sanitized. Hotel offers breakfast options from bagels, breakfast sandwiches to cereal, oatmeal, muffins, etc. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and spoke to you.
I happened to be here on my birthday and once I said my name I was immediately greeted with a "Happy Birthday" from the front desk and a bag of goodies and birthday card. Totally unexpected and a nice way to start the trip!
Pool happened to be closed during my stay but there was another property nearby that you could use.
Convenient location, near everything...food, groceries, pharmacy, attractions, etc. Would definitely stay again and recommend to my travel custoners!

It was a comfortable long stay for me! The staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean. My only complaint is that my room (302, I think) had a carpet that smelled like feet.
