Lingua Franca is our favorite of the two. Tom was great to work with and very patient with me. It is nice to have a connection like Tom to make recommendations. My wife and I are both Pinot Noir fans. We plan to make additional purchases with Tom.

What a gem! Eric and Travis are fantastic, and the wine selection is truly fabulous. Small producers from all over the world. They have a really interesting collection, many types of wine not available anywhere else in the area. I learn something new every time I go in, and always walk out with something delicious!

Eric and Zack are professional, knowledgable and accommodating. We purchased a case (two half cases) of wines for our wedding at the Mayton Inn. Eric helped us select the wines we ordered from him - and gave us advice on wines we purchased elsewhere! Zack went as far as to take ALL of the wine we provided the day prior, stored it properly (chilled the whites,) and made sure the bars were well stocked throughout the wedding. Zack and Eric also host tastings and event at the Mayton; we highly recommend this company for all of your wine needs.

It's quite a rare find: a well-stocked store with a team of friendly, customer-focused, unpretentious wine enthusiasts who are eager to get you what you want, without judgement, and not push upon you to what they need to sell. I had a unique experience there during a tasting and ended up buying a case in the end, all because of the exemplary service, obvious expertise, and customized attention to detail. I truly felt like I was the only customer they had or cared about, even though I know they are well known for their uncanny ability to source prized and elusive bottles from all over the world for their wide range of elite and next door clients, alike. I would recommend this store and its team to anyone looking to learn more about this industry and its products - their passion and dedication to you as a patron is simply unparalleled in the market. Well worth the trip and experience!

Apex Fine Wine has changed its name to Apex Wine Solutions. This company has, by far, the widest selection of high quality to ultra-premium wines in the Triangle. Ordering is done online; wine can be obtained by arranged pickup or delivery. The store is co-owned by both wine buying experts and a master sommelier. I have been buying wines from one of the owners for over 10 years with nothing but delightful results. They are not snobby and both owners eagerly share their knowledge, advice and recommendations. I have never had a disappointing experience here. They are located on the second floor of the shops in McGregor Village. Call before going, as all in-store purchases and deliveries are by appointment. I forgot to mention: the prices are spectacular.

Working with Tom was great, far better than any other local wine shop I have encountered in the RTP area. He was professional, knowledgeable, and importantly a really nice guy.

Probably the premier place to get high end wine and advice in the area. Do they have 25,000 wines, no! but with only one or two people working, you get top notch advice (not some shelf stocker). Their tasting room - Barley & Vine - is a small intimate place to sit with a friend and relax over a wine or beer. Get on their emailing list for free tastings times.

Eric is fantastic and has an incredible selection of wines at a great value. The staff will work with you and your preferences and can introduce you to new wines and regions. Highly recommended!

Best wine store in Apex. I've been a regular customer for years, and they know my tastes. Based on that, they always point out new varieties they know I'll like. Five stars.

Cool place. Like having a local Chambers Street Wines. Tom is a fantastic resource for eclectic wines.
