Varsity Club Sports Bar and Grille

Great burgers, they actually cook to order and get it right. My wife gets rare, and I get medium, and both were cooked as requested. My wife said she'd be happy with an order of tater tots they're so good. Excellent chicken sandwiches and boneless wings also.

The host/waitress are always so friendly and timely. They're way better than I expected at a bar in a plaza. They're always getting a tip from me they work so hard. I don't come here for the atmosphere or music or even drinks because it's not my type of scene. I'm just OBSESSED with these freaking hot sauce/garlic Parmesan wings 🤤 I always get em with fried pickles or mushrooms. That spicy ranch sauce is hotter than normal hot sauce which I LOVEEEEE

I came in for a happy hour drink and Jessica and Amber were very friendly and eager to help. It's a great place with great atmosphere and an overall friendly culture. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in for a cocktail, great service and great food.

I love Varsity Club. Their boneless wings are always amazing. I wish is was slightly less loud, but it’s a sports bar, so they get a pass on that one.

Food was incredible and so big. Sat at bar with bartender Amber who was amazing. Going back many more times for sure.

Good food, cold beer and lots of sports, we did a pick up order on a Sunday, it was busy but again the food was very and the prices were not bad, I had the fish and chips, my wife and mom had a wrap, both very happy. We will be back!

My first time eating here. I met a friend who was in town from ATL for the football game. The food was delicious and fresh! And our server Anita was great! She was very attentive and made sure our glasses were always full! She was very personable and friendly! I live in Riverview but next time I'm in the area I'll definitely come back!

I was visiting Tampa from Atlanta… it was a great experience. . The food was delicious and the service was outstanding… Anita was the person helping me and my friend at our table… She was super attentive and very nice Great atmosphere for football.

I've been coming to VC for a long time but haven't been in for a while. Prices great as always but Taco Tuesdays are the absolute best. Fully filled chicken and beef tacos that are really hard to stop eating! Highly recommend!!

Chicken sandwiches are amazing! Actually the whole menu is really great! Fun and laid back atmosphere, fun games in the back and lots of TVs! Love this place. 👍

Went to Varsity Club for dinner with my family last night and the atmosphere was definitely a pub vibe. Only problem I had was there was not distance between the tables to accommodate social distancing. The food and service was great though. Will definitely go there again.

Just visited again and had the very best, amazing, delicious thin crust deluxe pizza I have ever eaten!!! The GB Packers lost but the food is always amazing here. LOVE IT!!

Awesome place to hang out and enjoy some great food with family and friends!

The place is a bit old inside but the food is always and I mean always solid. The staff is friendly and tend to us really well. As you walk in there are specials on the left. We especially like Thursday night which is burger night ($2 off) because they have a huge list of burgers to choose from. You can make side substitutions for an upcharge. Well drinks are cheap Thursday as well as discounts on beer. Each week night has something different. There are a group of regulars who are friendly at the bar. There are plenty of TVs but keep in mind that this is a packers bar during football season. In the back you can find the usual bar games too.

Food is great, drinks are even better and the staff is awesome. If you’re lucky you will have Gina as a server, she absolutely rocks. Steven in management is stellar. If you enjoy bar food and watching the game with great service then this is your place!

First of all, I have been in hospitality for many many years. Recently I have been a food and beverage trainer for luxury hotels. I feel I can spot excellence from a staff and from the quality of its food. I have always enjoyed varsity club even when it had other locations.I have always had consistently good food and welcoming and efficient service. I usually get takeout and I always sit at the bar. Shout out to Marianne who is amazing along with the entire bar staff here, the manager and the owner... All of them are lovely. I really recommend this place. The one thing I have not had on the menu is the pizza, I have heard excellent things and I will be trying it soon. Recently I had some dental work and I really couldn't have wings and I was kind of disappointed but I still ordered boneless wings from them and I can't even talk about how great they were. But I will lol. The breading was light and seasoned perfectly the chicken was tender the blue cheese I believe may be homemade it was amazing and all of the sauces are spot on. Thank you so much to the staff of Varsity club Clearwater. I will always send customers here who are looking for a great sports bar with amazing food!!! You can tell that they have a focus on guest service which is not seen every day for sure in my industry. Please check for their daily features I highly recommend the pot roast sandwich!
