Can not say enough of how caring and helpful Amanda was in preparing for my father's funeral. Thank you James for your compassion and caring during our service and understanding of our needs. Thank you all so very much!

There are not enough words to explain what a true blessing Shannon and James Curry at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Home were during the process of laying our loved one to rest. Our family was a true mess due to the sudden death of my son’s father. Shannon and James handled our loved one and the whole family with so much patience, care and compassion. We are all so grateful and appreciative of them both. I personally know Shannon from working with her in the funeral business in Jacksonville FL and she has always shown such love and support to all of the families she helps. Her and James are truly a blessing from God and they most definitely found their calling in life. We couldn’t have asked for better people to help us in our time of loss and mourning. God bless you Shannon and James, for taking such good care of Roger, for showing so much love and understanding to our son Curtis and for being there for the the whole family. You have both been touched by the hand of God and his light shows in your every step and to every family you help.

Unfortunately, my mother in law had recently passed. She did not have any prearrangements, nor did my husband and I know where to start. The moment we walked into Blackburn-Curry, Shannon and James made us feel welcomed. They both had a heartwarming smile and genuinely wanted to help. We told them what we wanted, and they handled every little detail with compassion and professionalism. It was an absolutely beautiful service. It’s not something you want to plan, but I would definitely recommend them for your family’s arrangements. Thank you both from myself and all of my family.

I can not say enough about James and Shannon at Blackburn-Curry. The first call I made I knew I wanted them to handle my dad's arrangements. They definitely have a special gift to serve others. They were concerned with every single detail of the process. They never pushed any high price items. In fact, they encouraged us to only do what we could do without causing any type of hardship after the funeral was over. They truly acted like family and had our best interest at heart. They took every question or concern with such grace. The day of the funeral was the hardest day of my life and we were able to soak every moment in because James and Shannon handled everything. If I asked or mentioned anything that I forgotten they had already handled it and just smiled at me and said it was taken care of. They took every worry and concerned out of the experience and handled EVERY detail. We truly had so many things we could say about this family. We felt like we knew them a lifetime after a week. First of all thank you so much for taking great care of my mom, she was so beautiful. James and Shannon helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. They are amazing people, they made us feel like family, and their staff was the sweetest. Their place was clean and spacious and made you feel welcomed we are so blessed to be able to call James and Shannon our friends. God bless you both for everything.

I can’t say enough good things about these WONDERFUL people. When I knew my sweet little niece was not going to pull through her battle with cancer that James and Shannon would have to be the ones to take care of her. It really eased my sister and brother in law to know that their precious daughter would be so loved until we could get her home. I feel extremely blessed to have had James and Shannon in such a heartbreaking time. We love you both so much for all you did for our sweet girl.

It's not Blackburn-Curry, it's James & Shannon. They handled my Dad's funeral and managed to somehow make a bad situation seem a little better. When you first enter, it doesn't "feel" like a funeral home, it just feels like home. And meeting James & Shannon feels like meeting long lost family members. They truly do care about the people God places in they're life, long after services are rendered. They are compationate, caring, good Godly people. I'm glad they are now a part of our family.

James Curry and his staff did an amazing job when I lost my mother. Their thoughtfulness and compassion go far beyond what is expected.

Undeniably the best possible experience a person can have during such a difficult time. Shannon and James are genuine, caring people who treated our entire family with kindness and respect. We will forever be grateful for their help honoring our loved one.

Shannon and James were born to be in this business. If it weren't for James, our family could never have made it through the worst day of our lives. They made sure everything was perfect and worked around the clock to get everything we needed in a short time. My fathers funeral was BEAUTIFUL. James and Shannon from Blackburn-Curry funeral home in Macclenny went ABOVE and BEYOND to take care of my daddy. From the beginning they welcomed my family with open arms. Their facilities are CLEAN, SPACIOUS, and, make you feel right at home. Easily seated my friends and family of 130. It was my first time experiencing death from immediate family and every question we had they guided us through it. They gave him a proper funeral and I’m blessed to have James and Shannon in our lives! Google should have a platinum star rating system.. especially for businesses like this one who truly deserve it.
