I recently stayed at Wingate, and my experience was exceptional! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort specially Mr. Z. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed.

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet—delicious, varied, and fresh. The hotel's location is perfect, close to major attractions but still in a peaceful area. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the common areas, which were always clean and inviting.

Overall, Wingate offers excellent service, a warm atmosphere, and great value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay. I will definitely be returning!

This was a fantastic stay. The breakfast bar was well stocked and the hotel area and grounds were clean. Mr. Z made the stay exceptional. He was interested in our story and travel. He was so kind to our little 16 month old, calling her a princess and letting her run around encouraging her to make a mess (out of the pamphlets) and then cleaning them up. Nothing seemed to inconvenience him. My sister lives close to here and we would definitely stay here again. When we first arrived we had to open the window and air out the room as there was a slight odor. Overall a great stay.

Great place to stay. Staff are helpful and pleasant. The pool and hot tub were amazing. It was not very crowded and perfect temperature. Rooms were very clean.

Extremely comfortable beds. (I have a bad back, so that says a lot.) They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Safe location and pretty decent breakfast for the price. Highly recommend. I use to live in the area so I know a lot of the other places. I was very pleased with this hotel, especially for the price.

He took the time to give me a detailed overview of the hotel’s amenities and even offered some great recommendations for local dining and attractions. His knowledge and enthusiasm were evident, and it made me feel like I was in excellent hands.

During my stay, Mr. Z was always a step ahead. Whenever I had a request or needed assistance, he was quick to respond and always with a genuine smile. Whether it was arranging a last-minute reservation or providing extra towels, he handled everything with professionalism and a personal touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest.

One particular instance that stood out was when I had a small issue with the air conditioning in my room. I mentioned it to Mr. Z, and within minutes, he had a maintenance guy on the way and even checked in with me afterward to ensure everything was resolved to my satisfaction. It’s this level of care and dedication that sets this hotel apart from others.

In addition to Mr. Z’s exceptional service, the hotel itself boasts fantastic amenities, including a lovely pool area and a well-equipped fitness center. However, it was Mr. Z’s personalized service that truly elevated my stay and made it memorable.

If you’re looking for a hotel where you’re not just another guest but are treated with the utmost care and attention, I highly recommend Wingate. And if you’re fortunate enough to encounter Mr. Z during your stay, you’re in for a real treat!

The hotel and room were wonderful. Breakfast was great. I have to say that the staff, particularly Mr. Z, went above and beyond to ensure my families stay was both safe and pleasurable. Mr Z was kind to my small children, offering them snacks and encouragement when they were a little scared to be away from home. He was wonderful and went above and beyond. We are grateful we had a chance to meet Z and stay at the Wyndham.

I would recommend Wingate by Wingate to anyone who is looking for an excellent place to stay when in the Hampton Roads area. I had such an amazing experience over the past few days. The staff was amazing from check in to check out. The room was to my satisfaction, it exceptionably clean with all the amenities. I had no complaints concerning my room and / or did need to request a more suitable room. The breakfast was good and there was unlimited parking. I did not have the opportunity to visit the gym or pool; however, I plan to on my next stay. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For the excellent customer care you provided for me during my stay.

My family and I were recently traveling through town and stayed at the Wingate. After initially booking another location and having a truly terrifying experience that caused us to seek a safer place to stay, we called and spoke to Mr Z who jumped into action to put our family in a room that accommodated our needs. He was compassionate and understanding, and worked out all of the details to make sure we were comfortable throughout our entire stay.

We will forever remember Mr Z’s kindness and would absolutely stay here again!

The staff here were very helpful. I was in town for a family health emergency and was having to extend my stay one day at a time. Every day. I was greeted with a smile and concern over my mother's condition. The room was clean and spacious.
On our last night we needed a cot for my mother and it was delivered before we even made it to our room. Very fast. Very friendly. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for the weekend to attend a wedding. We drove all the way up from Miami. We were exhausted upon arrival, the check in process took 3 mins, I was very pleased. The room was comfy for my family of 5. The plus was the free breakfast which was not basic. The breakfast was actually the best part lol. We did not have time to get in the pool during our stay but it was a decent size, looked clean, and was indoors. The gym was tiny but the hours were a plus since we arrived late. All in all our stay was great. Thank you to Zakir and the other hotel employees who took care of us, I will definitely be back.

I stay here at this hotel for meetings and to visit my parents. I live in North Carolina, Navy veteran and currently a federal government employee. This hotel is where I've stayed the past five times. Great hospitality and a place I can relax before my meetings. I recommend this hotel to my counterparts whenever they visit the chesapeake area. I've been down here for 2 weeks for work and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The people who work the front desk are super friendly and helpful and tell you about all the amenties and where everything is located. The cleaning crew has come by every single day and refreshed all beddings, towels, coffee/tea and toiletries and taken the trash out even if there is a minimal amount. They pay attention to the little things and it shows! Above and beyond than most hotels I've stayed at. The room I've stayed in is very clean and no signs of any pests and zero negative odors. It's been a very great experience. Lastly, the morning breakfast is much better than most hotels I've stayed at....A nice variety of fruits, eggs, delicious sausage, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, peanuts butter and a variety of fruit jellies, and all the coffee your heart desires :)
I will Def stay here every time I'm back in the area for work or leisure. I'd give 10 stars if I could!! I highly recommend this hotel!!

To the Wingate by Wyndham Chesapeake Owner's, the Wingate by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts Corp.- I have traveled and lived across 4 continents Your night manager Mr. Z is no questions asked a top 1% across the board and every aspect of the employees not only your company but in surrounding. I've been staying here in Chesapeake working night shifts on some investigations and I noticed in making circles every so often and what he was really doing was doing security checks only 30 minutes to make sure his presence was near around as a security measuring deterrent for customer vehicles. However you may see him or not I'm telling you somebody needs to take the time to properly compensate Mr Z rate his work rate, efficiency, and customer service. Next saving a spot in the corporate ladder. He's the next best thing for you. By the way you have a beautiful property and thank you for everything, very much!!!! ❤🙏🏻

I had a very good stay. Kabir is just too good. He is so helpful. Hotel rooms are spacious and very near and tidy. Highly recommended.

This hotel is in a great location for the business/conference center(s) nearby. The rooms aren’t the best I’ve ever seen only because the interiors are starting to show their age, BUT they’re priced affordably and have a ton of value. I stayed in the 1 King Bed w/ Junior Suite and it was super affordable and more than comfortable.
Lastly, service is top notch. The staff (Mr. Khabiv) was very kind and able to accommodate a special request I made.

Nice hotel and the stay was very smooth. Nice amenities and pool was good. Mr Kabir is outstanding when it comes to customer service. Highly recommended.

Very nice room. Recently renovated. Safe location near many restaurants and stores. Staff member Kabir very helpful with early check in and adding on a night. Will be back again.

Very kind ownership. Breakfast was opened even earlier than posted time and looked delicious. Common areas are clean and well kept.
