Food was fantastic and the service was great

We stopped at Red Lobster last night and they said it would be an hour wait. So we went to Sam’s Crystal River as we were hungry and tired from traveling all day. The food was amazing! And our waitress, Sam, not the owner, treated us like family. Good food Good price. I definitely recommend Sam’s Crystal River Seafood. Next time I am In Tallahassee I will be back.

Strongly recommend the clam chowder. I'd say more of a clam soup than chowder but amazing none the less. They make it from scratch. I've had the bisque too, not nearly as good due to it being shipped in.

Came back a year later and had the low country broil. Very good food. Wife had the ribeye.

Great! We were in town for an event and so glad to find such a great place! Tasty and great, kind servers! We got the fried shrimp, chicken, and gator tail - all delicious and freshly made!

It's been seven years since I came here the first time and the food and service was just as great as I remember. I came pretty close to closing time on a Sunday and they were gracious enough to let me dine in. For us truck drivers the large parking lot out front is nice.

We had planned on a different restaurant which was closed and saw a full parking lot here. What a jewel! Nice family restaurant with excellent food. The shrimp scampi was delicious along with fried okra and a large green salad. They serve crackers with a fish and shrimp spread when you first arrive. 😋 Asked for a second serving of this; such great flavor. A friend got clam chowder and a shrimp with scallops dish. The hush puppies were very good. Key lime pie and carrot cake was boxed up to enjoy later in our hotel room. Wonderful dining experience which I am looking forward to repeating on another visit. Kid friendly type of place.

My husband and I stopped here for an early lunch. Everything was great! As we were leaving ( It was just my 2nd day on crutches after fracturing my ankle). I fell soon after getting up from our table. Several people came over to help my husband and I out the door. I don't remember faces or what anyone looked like, but thank you!!

My wife and I have been coming to Crystal River Seafood more often for lunch. Food is always tastes good, but can be a bit expensive depending on what you get. We usually share the fried trio lunch combo. This comes with two sides, which we each choose one. The meal is filling and we still have enough to take home. Most of the time, service is excellent. Sometimes you will wait longer for the waitress to come and take your food order. All in all, we enjoy the food and the service here.

Great meal. The cream legs were not overdone and the fried oysters were light and crispy! Red snapper cocktail was also very tasty.

Really good food. Great service most days. Dining room and bar area available. Booth, table, and bar stools available in bar. Booth seating in dining room.

Meredith was a great server, and hostess would definitely an asset to your restaurant. We had spoke about sccotys.

Easily some of the best fried shrimp I’ve ever had in my life, and I have eaten LOTS of fried gulf shrimp. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the level of quality and freshness. This trucker was not disappointed! ~The Big Cajun~

As a long haul truck driver I eat pretty much Half my meals from restaurants. 11 years working in A restaurant manager, I know hard work when I see it. It’s hard enough for me to pull off the interstate and find a truck spot to Park at. But the overall quality of service it’s very high with this Sam’s Crystal River seafood. Everything is perfectly prepared and seasoned Correctly. In the future I will go out of my way the patron your business. Thanks for all the hard work you guys.

I love crystal river!! My husband and I go all the time. I’ve ordered many different things all are fantastic. My favorite is fried catfish, the very best. My favorite waitress is Tabitha. She is the sweetest.!! This our go to seafood place.

Cozy, not crowded, food was delicious even though the waiter forgot to bring me my baked beans but he put them in a cup so I could take them home with me. Highly recommend this place

Stopped here on our way to Jacksonville one night, didn’t know what to expect but the reviews were spot on. Excellent food, and service definitely recommend
