We are from out of state ( my husband is a truck driver and i was traveling with him) and we met my daughter and her family here for lunch. It was fabulous. The people were kind, they were great with the kids, and it has a real hometown feeling.

My wife and I ate here today for the first time. We both had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was great!! Service was excellent as well.

It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. The bathrooms are outside, like what you'd find at a gas station. Locking the door was a bit of a struggle.

I suspect this place is quite popular in the summer, because it's set-up for drive-in service and outdoor dining.

Another Mom and Pop, hidden gem. The tomato based Bar-B-Q sauce is excellent! I had the Brisket Sandwich with baked beans, coleslaw, and hush puppies. My wife had the Bar-B-Q pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and mac and cheese. The food was delicious, the prices were unbelievable. The cute little dining room takes you back to a time when life was simple and sweet. It has a cozy feel and very friendly staff. This is a road trip must see. It is a short walk from the Pilot truck stop off I-81 Exit 251. Follow me for more Mom and Pop, Hidden Gems all throughout the country.

Awesome food, great staff, incredible prices! Get the BBQ dinner, it’ll change your life. The bbq simply melted in your mouth. Fries better than McDonald’s. Sweet tea to die for. Seriously, eat here!

This was the best bbq chicken we’ve ever had. Ever. Moist, juicy, tender and terrific flavor. I had the BBQ pork sandwich and it was delicious. Cole slaw was outstanding. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly and right on top of things. The inside of the restaurant was filled with every kind of pig decor imaginable. This must have been an old drive up restaurant back in the day.

Walking in, you're surrounded by thousands of pigs, figurines, murals, paintings, and anything else one can slap a piggy onto. You sit yourself among wooden picnic benches and tables draped with red and white checker tablecloths.
The menu is pretty standard BBQ fare, and sides are separate from entrees, which was a little pricey, considering the portion sizes.
The BBQ sandwich was delicious, saucy, and not at all dry. They served seasoned curly fries as a side and they were cooked perfectly.
Service was prompt and courteous.

What a great stop! Just off of 81. We all enjoyed our BBQ. Had ribs, pulled pork, and burgers. Highlight was the fried pickles. People were very kind and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. We'll be back.

Wonderful service and old school/local vibe are the best parts. Prices are extremely fair. BBQ pork and brisket were decent and the sweet coleslaw was a good add. We really enjoyed the fried pickles as well. Have some nice outdoor seating to allow for doggos.

This place does not pretend to be any place or thing other than what it is: hometown classic bar-b-que foods done extremely well. The ranch has near institution status in the area. The service is very friendly and efficient. This is a required stop for me whenever I am in the valley.

I'll admit, my family has some ties to this place. My great grandfather used to deliver their bread back in the day and my family has been wrapped up in this little business ever since.

Those ties aside: this place is amazing. Their BBQ sandwiches are killer, and I've yet to taste a BBQ sandwich that replicates the taste that they have here. It's perfectly seasoned, has a little tang, has a slight kick to it, and the flavor will leave your mouth watering. Their coleslaw is also out of this world.

The décor and atmosphere are also incredibly cute, unique, and gives the whole place a bit of a "frozen in time" feeling. My wife absolutely loved coming here for the first time! It's her favorite restaurant in Virginia now. The juke box is a nice touch too. If I had one complaint, the fried side items such as fries & etc. leave a lot to be desired. But I don't come to the Ranch for those. Get some BBQ, coleslaw, and a shake and you'll be satisfied. 'Nuff said.

Maybe I shouldn't be spilling these beans, but there's some "off menu" items that (somehow) make their BBQ sandwiches even better... but you didn't hear that from me.
