UF Health Family Medicine - Crossroads

I had a fantastic experience with Tara Blackshear APRN. I was so nervous to get established with a new provider and she took her time to get to know me and I did not feel rushed during my initial exam. I was referred by a friend and drove over an hour (there and back) to see her, and it was worth it! She was easy to open up to and she went the extra mile to help me. I look forward to seeing her at UF Health Family Medicine again and I will be referring everyone I know her way.

My first visit was amazing, the staff was fast, friendly and courteous, Sherri one of the APRN’s was phenomenal. She listened to what I had to say, she interacted with me as though I mattered to her and presented herself as though she genuinely cared about my health. Very professional yet friendly. Loved her!

Dr. Waters has been my Dads doctor for years. We really like how he treats us and takes time with my Dad . The staff has always helped us in so many ways. Keep up the great work.

Love Sheri Hayes! She's really friendly and demonstrates actual concern regarding your health. Dr. Montilla on the other hand, is one of the worst doctor's my husband and I have ever encountered. He is arrogant, acts as if he's uninterested in what you have to say or how you feel, basically treats you like you're an idiot and rushes you out the office.

I absolutely love the staff and the care they provide is amazing. They are professional and very compassionate. Sherri Hayes, you are the best!

I have been a patient here for years. I was diagnosed with covid a week ago. Today I called to see if I could do a virtual call with the dr. Someone else from the office returned my call and said the Dr advises that you go to the ER to see if you have covid Pneumonia. You would think she would’ve just ordered an X-ray
( like many other DR’s are doing) instead of sending me to the ER to pay a fortune to get the same thing done.

I had unexpected surgery day before yesterday and was wanting to be seen for postoperative care. I also needed fmla papers filled out asap. To me unexpected surgery is urgent!! I was told it would be a week before I could be seen and they would look over my fmla at my visit, I was welcome to see another provider. I agreed and no response. All they do is refer, refer and refer out to other doctors. My last appointment I felt like I had to beg for antibiotics. They say they take our concerns seriously, but nothing is ever done. I think this office needs to be audited by the medical board. They do not listen to paintings concerns about their health, bc they have an "I know more than you attitude" I use telaheath for ALL my appointments unless it's something I need in person. They do not care about their patients. Just the paycheck.

I have been frustrated with this office at previous visits, but today I was treated horribly, which is why I am leaving the review. I went in for my annual visit, after being seated in a room, I was asked if I had any concerns or questions for the doctor, as I started to answer the question the nurse held her hand up and interrupted me and said if you have a "problem" you will need to schedule another visit. What the heck...I was answering her question and providing information I felt the doctor needed to be aware of! When I explained the situation, she said I was welcome to talk to the doctor about my "problem" and cancel my yearly or not talk to the doctor about my problem and keep my regular appointment?!?!?! I was outraged.... she asked the question, but they really did not want the answer. I was treated like a number and there was NO CONSIDERATION for the problem I was having.... a problem that should have been addressed right away! For the cost involved with doctors visits and insurance I would think they could at least pretend to care for their patients!

Every single time I’ve been out to the doctors office they have taken my money and done nothing for me they just refer you out to every other place but them. For instance I called I wanted an x-ray. And then when I arrive there they say they can’t do x-rays because they’re not the ones that actually answer the phone someone else does!!!! some other company somewhere else. Super unprofessional. Will not be going back. The staff are very nice.
