Hillandale Park

Ideal place to spend an afternoon and has sitting areas with tables for lunch. There's a 2mi trail that's kid friendly with entertaining stuff along the way (fixed workout equipment, pedestrian bridges). The area is well kept with plenty of parking.

This park was super nice because it had a TON of trails, easy flat trails perfect for kids. It also had a nice playground, restrooms that were open, and a cool dirt mountain bike "park."

Absolutely stunning.. very very well maintained with multiple picnic pavilions .. unsure about restrooms, but there are lots of walking paths to enjoy.

My son and I went geocaching on the anniversary of my mom's death. It was a beautiful way to spend the day, in remembrance of her.

A fantastic amenity for locals and visitors. I used the gravel exercise trails and the easy Mountain Bike Trails. Highly recommend. The green routes are not too steep or technical. The blue and black routes are tight rock gardens with jagged rocks throughout. The pump track and dirt jump (powerline) are fun for all ages and abilities. As with all dirt jump tracks, know your abilities and watch your speed especially if you're a novice.

Hillandale Park is the most wonderful in town park that we have in the area. It's good for walking and mountain biking. There are both easy and more difficult sections to mountain bike and other facilities depending on what you want to do. It's also a great starting point for the in town bike trail.

Amazing park. It has playgrounds, basketball courts, hiking trails, walking paths, a bike park and so much more. Really a fantastic park to go to. I have been several times and haven't explored all of it yet but loved every time we have went.

A pleasant little park tucked away in the southern part of Harrisonburg. Good shelters with grills are strewn throughout the park. Plenty of walking and jogging trails with gym equipment along the route. New playground. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have always enjoyed walking the trail here, always well maintained, the terrain varies and you have both sun and shade. As a senior citizen I would love to see a few benches strategically placed for taking a short rest.

This is a great park in Harrisonburg, featuring a full outdoor basketball court, a playground, a sand volleyball pit, multiple reservable shelters, some campsites, and an expansive network of biking and hiking trails. There are also some limited field areas. This park is perfect for parties, gatherings, campers, or for just enjoying nature. One of my favorite things is that, because of the size of the park, it is usually very quiet and peaceful.
