My family and I just spent 4 nights at the Williamsburg Lodge. My wife and I had stayed here years ago and loved it then which is why we specifically chose to stay here. The lodge has a very classic historic look, there's none of that ultra-modern look that you'd see in a lot of other hotels. That's part of the Lodges charm, and after all it is right up from the street from Colonial Williamsburg so the colonial look fits in well. We opted to upgrade to a balcony room which was a great decision, the balcony rooms are towards the end of the hotel which made for a very quiet, peaceful room. We had breakfast at Traditions twice and our server was amazing, she was very attentive and so sweet to our kids. There are 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool with a hot tub, one of my favorite things was that one of the outdoor pools was a serenity pool which is meant to be quieter...it was very relaxing at the end of the day. I also used the gym for early morning workouts before we started our days, it was kept clean and the equipment was pretty new and well maintained. Overall I'd say one of my favorite things about the Williamsburg Lodge is the proximity to Colonial Williamsburg, I would walk out of the hotel, down the sidewalk for a minute, cross the street and be in the historic area...no need to even move the car out of the hotel parking area. That close distance made it ideal for evening walks through the historic area after it cooled down a little outside. My family and I absolutely love the Williamsburg Lodge and have every intention of staying there again in the future. Highly recommended!

I spent Mother's Day weekend here and was impressed with all of the staff. The rooms are older but spacious and comfortable although; the bathroom was a little smaller than I'm used to. The restaurant was really nice as well. The food was decent but the service was excellent and I would return based on that alone! Arethea happened to attend our table both times during our stay and she was awesome. We had a huge party and she was on top of everything before we had a chance to even make requests! I have to say that the receptionist and other staff in the restaurant were so kind too though, they all went above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend.

What a great stay!! We booked the spring special through the Colonial Williamsburg website which included a ticket for CW historic locations for a week. Our concierge was able to book tickets for evening events at a discount as well. We enjoyed every dining option at the lodge and the spa across the street. Every team member was incredibly kind and helpful. The lodge is one street over from Historic Williamsburg and less than a mile walk from Merchant Square. Perfect location, especially when CW closes at 5pm but their evening events don't really start until 7pm. You'll want to stay at the lodge so you can rest/eat between your CW activities. The room was very big, super clean and the buildings were well cared for. The lodge MADE our trip. Only thing we struggled with was finding a snack outside the bar after 6pm, but that was it. We will be sure to stay here again soon!

We spent 4th of July week here with our teens, and loved it.
The location is great. We were able to walk to restaurants, golf, fireworks, Williamsburg Inn (go have a drink on their veranda in the evening and watch the fireflies.. beautiful), and the historic area.
The layout of the buildings make it feel cozy and keep the feel staying in the 'historic bubble' but I can see how those with disabilities wouldn't love it... But it's not overly spread out like other resorts I've been to. I was worried we'd be parking a half mile away, and that wasn't the case.
The rooms were standard. They were clean and the carpet and paint were not worn.
Restaurants - The breakfast restaurant was standard Marriott. The servers were very friendly. The Sweet Tea restaurant had a good variety and was priced decently for a sit down in the area. Food was good, not great but was nice to have. The golf course across the street has bbq with inside and outside seating (balcony) which was my favorite on property. The Terrace Restaurant and Social Terrace were high priced for nothing stellar but was a fun experience and very good service.

We would definitely stay here again, especially for Fourth of July. Beautiful property and surroundings, walkable with tons of choices, shuttle was great, staff nice.

Great place to stay! We were about a 10 minute drive from both parks and a 3 minute drive from a pretty nice shopping center. The staff provided excellent services. Especially Arethea, who is a waitress at the restaurant attached to the hotel. She was attentive, patient, and friendly!

The lodge is very large. They have a restaurant there, bar & another restaurant for breakfast only. The hotel is very clean. Our room had a balcony which was nice to sit & relax on in the evening. Great place! Everything about it is perfect!!

Loved our week here from breakfast to the signature drink, Sweet Tea and Barley outside at night. Leona the bartender is a real gem. The accommodations are great and it's a short walk to Colonial Williamsburg. The Colonial Williamsburg bus stops right out front. The indoor and outdoor pools are just across the street by the full service spa, (the hot tub is fantastic!) I highly recommend staying here when visiting Colonial Williamsburg.

Williamsburg Lodge was beautiful- we stayed in the Custis building. The housekeepers did a great job every day keeping our room nice and replenishing towels. It was in the perfect location to walk right into colonial Williamsburg . Highly recommend it

Right off the historic center of Williamsburg. The rooms are early American but a tad noisy due to the real wood floors.

Our room was spacious, clean and pretty. The location is wonderful for visiting William and Mary or historic Williamsburg. Our kids and teens enjoyed the pool, which is large and fun.

The staff was kind and helpful - especially the cleaning staff at The Tyler House who were helpful getting extra towels.

The lobby is large, spacious and we'll decorated. The courtyard is lovely for a drink.

Thank you for a nice stay!

I recently stayed at the Williamsburg Lodge as part of the conference. I want to highlight Brittany the night time desk manager. She help me with reservations. She help me find coupons for the reservation. She helped organize the shuttle and even helped me with a few difficult situations. She made my stay at the Williamsburg Lodge, easy comfortable, and one of the main reasons I would definitely come back to this hotel. Thank you, Brittany, and all of the staff at Williamsburg lodge.

I've been coming here for over 50 years. It is always a warm and friendly visit. The staff is amazing. I ordered gingerbread cakes to go to pick up at a specific time, and they were waiting for me. Always makes me smile and feel nostalgic.

Great place to stay! Amazing breakfast. Shout out to Robert and Leo, two of the best wait staff ever!

Room got a 3-star because the fr8dge was terrible. Only kept things cold 2 hours at a time.... energy efficient system was not good for long-term cold storage.

Excellent distance from downtown Williamsburg.

Perfect location if you're coming to spend time in historical Williamsburg. This property is located a very short walk away from the main attractions. As a hotel guest you get significantly discounted tickets for the museums - ask concierge about it (concierge desk is opposite to front desk). They provide ghost tours as well.
Front desk employees were quick and friendly, recognized titanium status and provided vouchers for elite member breakfast.
Plenty of parking space, additional lot on the opposite side of the street.
Has a restaurant and a cafe on site. Breakfast was tasty at the restaurant though it can get crowded and you may need to wait for a while to be seated.
Rooms are a bit dated, had couple issues: TV was not working at all and room service forgot to attach half of the shower curtain. I did report issues to the front desk the next day and they there apologizing and provided free parking in result, which was a nice gesture.

Just returned and our stay was top notch. Our room was spacious and spotless. The location was perfect. We could park and leave the car as the historic district was literally half a block a way. If you desire the free shuttle it literally stops in front of the inn. The staff was wonderful, helpful and always smiling. Definitely a first rate experience.
