This place is so cute! The food was really good and there were lots of options for people with dietary restrictions. I would recommend the Gluten Free Belgian Waffle, which looked beautiful.

The best breakfast in town. We ordered a tea party we got a super cute antique tea pot with the cups , sugar and honey. They were so nice when I asked for 2 additional tea bags. . Everyone is so sweet and friendly. Good entertainment , cozy and beautiful. There avocado toast is something else. Another favorite of mine is there salmon loks breakfast bagel sandwich. YUMMY. I tried almost all there food and can I say I'm happy with there menu. They also have homemade cakes and delicious desserts

We decided to have Heritage Bakery create our wedding cake for our wedding day. The bakery was communicative during our planning process, allowed us to try some flavors that weren't on a pre-selected list, and delivered everything on time. The wedding cake, which was a 2-tiered (10"/8") cake adorned with flowers, was stunning and we ordered several sheet cakes for service as well. I'm not much of a cake person myself, but even I absolutely devoured this cake. We ordered both a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting (which is much more flavorful than it sounds) and an apple spice cake with a vanilla buttercream frosting. The apple spice cake had pieces of apple in the cake, a wonderful spiced flavor, and beautiful dried apple slices on top of the sheet cake slices. All cakes were super moist and delicious! EXCELLENT BREAKFAST! Stopped at Heritage Bakery & Cafe on a trip through the area. Enjoyed the artisan food, and had the pleasure of listening to a live local musician while we ate. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. Highly recommend stopping for a coffee and bite. Grab some local info at the visitor center, which is in the same building.

Before visiting the quilt museum we popped into Heritage for lunch and had a delicious meal of BLT sandwiches and a Salmon sandwich on gluten free bread. We also loved the matcha cheesecake for dessert. I love how everything is served on pretty crockery. We sat inside but there are also tables outside in a lush green area. We were offered ice cold water on our way out which was a kind touch!

Heritage made all of my wedding dessert table dreams come true! I could not have asked for a more perfect gluten free wedding cake and an assortment of our Heritage favorites on our wedding day. Isabelle and her team were so easy and kind to work with and took my dreams and made them a reality. They made it super easy by delivering to Luray. I had to refrain from eating a cupcake before walking down the aisle :) Highly highly recommend this fantastic bakery!

We popped in right before they closed for a quick pick me up and a snack. The shop offers breakfast, lunch and pastries along with their coffee and tea. It looks like you can get full tea service during a longer stay. Service was quick and friendly.

Super cute cafe. My iced coffee was just right and I thought the service was lovely. I can’t wait to go back and get a full tea pot and pastry.

Charming French inspired cafe located in the heart of Harrisonburg VA. Food was great. Decor was lovely. Staff was especially friendly. I was recommended to try the iced tea. Delish. Thank you for the great experience.

I didn't get to take pictures of my breakfast there which was the croissant with egg and havarti cheese which was nicely done , not too much cheese and the eggs were cooked into layers which made it eating much easier! The staff was great and the decor was dainty and cute AF ! Will definitely visit again when I visit Harrisonburg again.

The breakfast croissant sandwich and orange berry scone were both delicious. Cozy shop and eating area! A real gem!

Can't say enough good things about this place. It's the perfect location to work, eat the most delicious baked goods, or pretend you're in an English romance novel. I've been going to them for years and can find no rival for their meals, nice staff, adorable tableware, baked treats (yay for gluten free!), and cakes. I recently photographed a wedding with their cakes and it was the best surprise ever. Delicious as expected!

This bakery is a must try if you’re in the area! I had the chicken curry with a side salad and my friend had the salmon bagel. It was all so sooo good!! I tell you what though, the employees are the sweetest!!
Someone forgot a slice of coffee cake I ordered with my meal, but she came over to apologize AND offered me a free additional treat to take home!! 🥰

Thank you for a lovely lunch and tea to share with my mom, mother in law, and aunt. It was our first time visiting and everything was delicious! We tried the waffle, curry chicken salad, avocado toast, BLT (added avocado!😍) cheesecake, pavlova and enjoyed a pot of tea together. Keep up the good work and we look forward to coming again sometime!

The cutest bakery & cafe tucked behind the hustle and bustle of Harrisonburg. The staff was lovely, the food was delicious, and you might find yourself staying for a few hours with friends solely because the experience is wonderful. 10/10 -- a wonderful gem in Harrisonburg.

I’d give six or seven stars if I could! This bakery is so tasty and cute. The staff is so friendly and the treats so yummy. I highly recommend trying out this spot.

Bonus: the bakery shares a building with the visitor’s center so you can check out local attractions and brochures as well. So convenient for breakfast while you’re visiting!

Ordered a Strawberry cake for a birthday party and it was divine!

Heritage provided the cutest cake for a wedding I photographed last weekend. Delicious too! The real floral accents were so creative.

Visited 6/25/2021: We stopped into Heritage Bakery & Cafe hoping to grab some pastries to take back to our hotel, but they only had scones which was a disappointment to us given the photos we've seen online of their bakes. But it wasn't a huge deal, so we ordered food to enjoy in the cafe. I had a bowl of granola, yogurt, and fruit. It was a generously-sized portion and their homemade granola was delicious; they served the bowl drizzled with honey and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Except for bananas, I was disappointed that my bowl didn't have bananas on it, but there was plenty of berries on top to keep me satisfied. My husband ordered the Belgian waffle and from the one bite of it I had, it was incredible. Super fluffy with a nice crispy exterior, it was everything you could wish from a Belgian waffle. It was served with syrup on the side and was mounded with fresh fruit.

The set-up inside is really cute, and behind the counter, the open kitchen looks like a little old lady's kitchen. The young people working there were helpful and friendly, but we felt awkward in there. They were all talking and laughing and it felt like we had walked in on a private conversation. I don't know, we just didn't feel super welcomed.

Our iced coffees were good, and they had soy milk available for us, but I wish they had more of an interesting coffee bar selection. Not a deal-breaker though because they don't obviously advertise themselves as a coffee shop. Also, I think their signage could be a bit better and more clear. Their menu board is on the right side of the counter and it's hard to crane your neck to see everything they have available quickly with other people behind you waiting to order. We also weren't sure if we were supposed to leave our dirty plates on the table or bring them back up to the counter since it wasn't really a sit-down table service situation.

None of these should be a deal-breaker though, and I would certainly visit them again next time I'm in Harrisonburg.

They made 2 beautiful cakes for out wedding as well as our vow renewal and they were both beautiful and delicious! I have a special place in my heart for this little bakery and cafe.
