The Sushi Bar

I’ve eaten at sushi bar a few times and the experience is always great. The food is so good, presented beautifully, and drinks are delicious too.

So I made a MAJOR mistake when arriving to the restaurant, I didn't realize that reservations were needed but despite the confusion I was moved to a different seating arrangement and was treated to the best sushi I've ever had in Idaho after trying places from Idaho Falls to Boise. The service was awesome, the atmosphere was great and you get a beautiful view of the lake from pretty much anywhere in the dining area.

I got the 8 piece nigiri and the miso soup and both were incredible and comparable to places I've been in OR and WA.

Thank you again to the staff for being considerate of my blunder and treating me to a wonderful meal.

We enjoyed our dinner & the sushi was top notch. Our family of 6 enjoyed our dinner & had several rolls as well as some sushimi fusion items. My only knock is that like a lot of restaurants they appear to be bit short on staff & it did take about 1.5 hrs from the time we were seated to the time we left the restaurant (was not an issue for us).

We will continue to support this restaurant & treat it like island time.

What a wonderful evening, walked in looking for a great bite to eat per usual. We didn’t make a reservation and yet they are fast enough to keep the bar open for strays like us.

Start with the miso, trust me, best miso in the state.

King Kobe bowl is the thing you should get. It’s amazing, fantastic rich beef, delectable salmon. They always have great fresh ingredients and wonderful staff like Moe, the guy was very friendly. Not to mention watching his chef skills was part of the experience! He’s great! Thanks everyone.

Beautiful place! We had a party of 8 and we got our own private room. We even got special heated towels before our meal. Sushi was fabulous! Got the salmon river run (I think?), Brundage blast, and green dragon. Careful with the Wasabi! Really opens the nostrils 0.o

First time there but will definitely go back. Happy hour from 4 to 6 pm Hoffer's dollar off beers and about 5 different sushi rolls at $5 each. Decent beer and wine selection too. after dinner we walked along and watch the fish jumping in the lake at the sunset. Beautiful night in McCall.

We loved it so much we went back two evenings in a row. The 4-6pm happy hour was great for a select number of rolls and drinks. The Honey Toast dessert was AH-MAZING.

Food is always awesome. The Staff is super fantastic. During the summer make sure to make a reservation! They are slammed but the food and staff are so awesome it's worth it.

Qoni was awesome, super fast and she had to go up and down those stairs! The sushi was excellent , always is. Thank you for always killin it. We love this business. ❤

This is the best sushi place in mcall. The sushi was the best! I would pay 100 dollars for this! The view of the Lake is wonderful! I recommend this.

As someone who grew up not liking sushi I was hesitant to eat at this restaurant. However, my girlfriend loves it and eats there fairly frequently so I decided to give it a try. I was blown away with my food. I ordered the rainbow roll and my girlfriend and I shared it. I never knew raw fish could taste so good that hardly used any soy sauce. We sat in front of the chef and chatted with him and he really broadened our horizons and gave us great ideas on what to try next. By far these guys and gals have one me over and I will be eating their again very soon.

This Sushi Bar needs to have some tables left open for walk-ins. Very disappointed, being local and at the spur of a moment wanted to go and have a nice dinner. The Sushi bar want to seat us in the sun with 90* weather. No Thank you. Very disappointed.

Love, love, love this place. I wish we had one down in the treasure valley. There is no other place like this. Great food, good quality and decently priced. Definitely recommend.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. The food was delish and presented well, service was phenomenal and overall atmosphere is great. Coming from CA and having a wide variety of sushi options and then to Idaho I would say this place ranks one of the top 5 restaurants I have tried. Only complaint is the layout is not the most efficient but that is not always controllable.

After a day of hiking and swimming this relaxed atmosphere and it’s great food hit the spot. The quality of the fish was excellent and the cold sake was wonderful on a hot day. Thai place is a gem and we can’t wait to go back! It’s also a very popular place so be ready to wait when you go in.

Everytime I come here the food is AMAZING. I just moved here from Cali and somehow this sushi is better than any sushi I've had in cali. Every once in a while there is a little mess up BUT, they always make up for it in the best way. Such as, one sushi roll out of the 10-15 that were ordered came out wrong so they made it it again and made it extra cute for me. The catepillar roll!! Which is by far my FAVORITE here withthe shrimpzilla coming in second. And dont forget to try the forbidden rice. This is a must try if you ever visit 😍

My family has been in McCall for 10+ years and every time I come to visit Sushi Bar is an absolute must! I’ve seen it grow increasingly more popular and for good reason. Since McCall is such a summer time hot spot definitely plan for some patience and it’s nice to have a snack and a cocktail while you get ready for dinner; with it’s perfect location you’ll probably want to take a walk afterwards too. Being land locked in the mountains it is so refreshing to know there’s a top notch sushi place with amazing food, fun and friendly staff, awesome drinks, and incredible views! I’ve only seen this place get better and you can tell the management really cares about their customers and staff. Would recommend 🫶🏻
