Casino Star Theatre

What a classic gem in rural Utah with a restoration that was evidently done through love of this building's heritage. After decades of driving past it, we finally came to a live performance here. The interior is beautifully outfitted including hardwood floors, curtains, and comfortable stadium seating. Super friendly staff who were eager to help; many of those assisting were also board members of the foundation that is caring for this historic theatre. I am thinking we need to make the drive back here for a movie soon too.

Friendly staff. Tickets can be purchased @ the treat counter so everything for everyone can be in 1 purchase. Very nice & clean. Original details have been kept & restored so it feels like u r in an old time theater.

First run movies. Live stage performances. Modern tech housed in a very hometown feel.

The theater itself is quite elegant. Built before movie theaters were just black boxes, the place is fun to look at before the show starts. Even down to the carpeting. Not industrial blah. Nice thick deep carpet with beautiful patterns.

What a fun little theatre. Usually older places like this seem kind of musty but this place was clean and the staff was really friendly and welcoming. It was a great place for a really great concert by the Fabled Folks.

Great local theater with lots of history and atmosphere. Great price, especially when compared with the big city corporate theaters. The restoration has been excellent, and when sitting in the theater one's mind can easily reminded of past generations of family have sat in the same building.

Really cool and rad theater that has been in operation for over a century, the owners are wonderful people who really care deeply of the community and the history. It is cool all of the renovations and restoration that has gone into this building. Movies are always fun too!

Great theater. It’s full of old school charm. Has a stage for live performances. Sound was great. Good popcorn too. Watched Spiderman, No Way Home. Had a great time.

Such a fun home town theatre! My husband loved all the concession options! Seats are not great but they are better then when i was in high school! Plus the price for tickets is awesome!

It's historic! Awesome little one screen theatre with a great staff that runs it. It's vintage and fun. Plus the tickets are much more affordable. They open blockbuster titles often too so you're not missing out on anything for the price!

Beautiful theater! Can't miss this attraction if you are in Gunnison, Utah. The work to restore this historic building is meticulous! The modern digital projector and sound system make the movies come alive.

This is the original theater in Gunnison. It has had hundreds of thousands of dollars put into through grants. Very cool old school theater. It was the last theater in utahplaying movies on a reel before going digital. Ask for a tour of the old film reel above the consecions.

I love love watching movies here the atmosphere is like going back in time it's beautiful it's a piece of History that we can enjoy and get lost in and very family-friendly the people are very nice and helpful the only thing I would change is after while it's hard to sit on the chairs other than that I wouldn't change a thing let's go to the movies💎💖

What a cute and quaint theater! I was so happy that they were open. Prices at Concession were very reasonable. They did a very good job incorporating old school and modern.

I work here and it is fantastic! It has a great classic architecture while still showing all the big new movies!

The theatre has been remodeled with new paint an floors have been redone an new seats,you can buy one an get your name on it,the price to get in is low an the food is good at a fair price.
