Payette Dream Coffee House and Diner

Wonderful place - we were welcomed by a very kind and chipper staff who checked on us regularly. They politely refrained from giving us our assigned table until they were sure it was spotless. The food is very good and offered a nice taste of my southern hometown during this trip in the frigid northern landscape. The restaurant is very clean and well-kempt with eye-catching decor. My only small warning is that the tables are Sharpied on with biblical scripture and the choice of music is Christian radio (however it's not played too loudly); if this makes you uncomfortable you may not enjoy the environment as much, but regardless of where your spiritualism lies, the other wonderful elements will quickly distract you. This place is certainly a dream to me.

Stopped in early on Saturday morning. ☀I love the old diner feel. 🏁In a town that’s growing as fast as it is it’s nice to support a locally owned business. Good coffee, great conversation and very friendly staff.
Stop 🛑 in and get some food, coffee, tea or ice cream.

My husband and I ate here during our weekend vacation and were hoping for the best given the previous day breakfast somewhere else wasn't great.
We were very happy with the friendly and cozy atmosphere, and we felt welcome as soon as we walked in. In general, we had more traditional breakfasts with eggs, bacon, and country potatoes, but everything was cooked well and tasted great. We highly suggest coming here!

Delicious onion rings - so good ordered a second round. The menu is straight to the point, basic comfort American food. Family friendly atmosphere. Good for a late lunch after walking the shops.

Second time coming here and we love it! Staff is always friendly and the coffee tastes good. They are open later than a lot of other local spots and are open earlier which is convenient when leaving town early. They also have a great selection of ice cream year round. The tables have verses carved into them which we were told were chosen by locals. Overall a nice small town charm.

We always have good food and services but yesterday and today they have been closed but it says open on their web site. I hope everything is all right.

We had an amazing breakfast. My husband got the McCall breakfast and it could of fed three people. The 🥞 stole the show. I got the breakfast burrito and it was simple but 😋. The fruit bowl was great with it. The service was excellent!

Lots of seating. Clean. The secret is they have the same ice cream as Ice Cream Alley. I had the Espresso Explosion on a cone, and it was so yummy 😋 It was busy, but super short, wait.

I feel bad for not remembering the server's name (this would have been Saturday June 11, 2022) but she was the only server on the floor who handled everything really well and with tremendously friendly service the whole way. Absolutely lovely lady.

Nice little local place. Came here a few times while in town. I don't recommend the biscuits and gravy as the biscuits were quite dry and hard, but everything else was great for our whole party each time. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. And located in the heart of downtown.

I eat here weekly and the food, service, and ambiance is always great. Patty does an awesome job of taking care of our group every week! Definitely recommend eating here. It is worth the short wait.

We went on the first day of the diner section was open. It was not busy and I hope they do well. My son and I got some really great burgers and some fries that I can only describe as curly steak fries. The burger was cooked medium and so it still was juicy and had great flavor. The hostess was very friendly and our server also was too.

Honestly, the only thing holding this place back is a lack of parking. My kids love the etch-a-Sketch’s and chess boards. The food was as good or much better than anyplace else we have been in McCall. The owner and the the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The portions are great, not too big and not too small (likeGoldielocks once said”just right”). This has become our preferred breakfast eatery.

Best pancakes I've had in a very long time! The owner was great to interact with and he had our food out quickly especially since he was alone and there were 3 of us. It's nice to be able to support a local business.

Legitimately some of the best chicken fried steak I've ever had and as a chunky boy I've had a lot of chicken fried steak.

It was absolutely delicious, hamburgers cooked just right. Ordered extra jalopenos and I got lots! The waitress was friendly and like joking around. Definitely go back.
