I’ll start with the bike shop my favorite part!
The technicians are amazing and the shop is clean! They saved me from trouble fixing my bike (fast quality long lasting repair!)

The employees are always extremely friendly and helpful! Everything is easy to find and priced reasonably for Alaska!

The camping/ cooking sections are always stocked well! We recently purchased a propane tank that was cheaper than Amazon!

The padding section is always stocked with rad paddles and today I found a large assortment of colored leashes!

The return policy and process is seamless always considering the customer before the store!

The solar and batteries section is fully stocked with great options and accessories!
I purchased my first solar panel kit yea x I’m very satisfied with everything!

We love coming here as a family, it’s always fun and safe for kids to look around together without parents! I’m sure that on the future our kids will shop here weekly!

This store is much bigger than what they used to be after the changes. Still overall a great store for outdoor equipment and supplies. Would often come here for camping equipment that has served me well and now looking for shoes for hiking and trail jogging. While looking, the staff has been very welcoming and helpful in finding shoe options for my needs and requirements. Despite the pricing, I would recommend going here for camping, running/hiking, biking, and other activity equipment.

Sara H. was super helpful with an exchange during the pre-Holiday travel rush. We had an online order for a suitcase that wouldn't quite fit our needs. Sara knew all the right buttons to push and was so friendly with our transaction. In the end we had a quality suitcase in-store and customer service to make us feel taken care of. Thanks Sara H.

It has been years since I have been to REI in Anchorage. What a glow up! This is my favorite location so far. I had a couple of questions about hiking in the snow & everyone was super friendly from cashier to shoe attendant. None of them made me feel like a noob. We got everything we needed & more. The restrooms were clean. The store was immaculate. I wish this was my local REI. Maybe someday soon. I went 3 times during my stay in Anchorage. Five stars each & every time.

The 'Brand New' REI store is incredible. I feel transported into an outdoors commercial where everything is perfect. The clothing is soft, warm, and if I'm lucky the it's on clearance. No matter what I buy I'm getting money back with my REI Membership, so I know that I'm coming back next season to buy more goodies! Bring a cup of coffee and walk slowly.

Plenty of parking at this location too!

Great outdoor, hunting, camping, hiking fishing store. So much to choose from. Top name brand, staff is helpful and friendly. I love that if your a member you get rebates!

Very nice store for all your outdoor gear and activity gear in Anchorage. Kind of a one shop stop for all your fun outdoor supplies. The items change with the seasons a bit. Ski gear is up front and center when I stopped by and decided to write this review, and boy do they have some nice stuff. I get stuck in their camping gear sections every time I wander into this place. Don't be shocked by the prices, they cary nice stuff, and you generally get what you pay for.

Absolutely the biggest REI I've ever seen or been in! We got there about 10 minutes before closing needing new hiking boots for my kiddo. They were so helpful.

Excellent customer service! The wife had to have the CS reps run into the back 3 times to get the right size of gloves because she hadn't tried them before, and they rocked it...

I've been going here for years. Today I ran into an employee named Jay, who was absolutely professional and knowledgeable. It was definitely my best experience here at REI today!

Great store. Its quite a long walk from one end to the other though.

We went to the grand opening of the new REI co-op. It was immaculate and very nice inside. All the staff were super friendly. We had an issue with payments and the manager was able to make it right for us swiftly amongst the mass chaos. Thanks for an enjoyable experience!

Best REI I've ever seen. Stopped for gear on the way to Denali. Had great stuff in the used gear garage. Super helpful staff with questions on local hikes and Alaska outdoors in general.

Great service, ordered from Belgium a ACR PLB to be picked up at the start of our vacation. Everything went seamless.

I was just parked in front of REI to use my phone. I did not go in.

Google asked me to update my review asking me if REI has changed. I'd say no. It's one of the most consistent businesses I know. Rearranged. Restocked. Changed with seasons and culture. But, fundamentally it's very much the same as it was in the 70's and likely will be in the 2070's. And, I'll keep enjoying it.
