Ohio University Inn

We were at OUINN for a friends wedding weekend and can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. The Inn is clean, comfortable and has every amenity you could need. The staff (from front desk to maintenance to bar to restaurant) is AMAZING!! Everything we needed, they were there to help with a smile. Cutler's was exceptional - food is amazing! The Bar was so fun, great bartenders - great drinks - great time! We will be back - highly recommend!!

Green themed for OU. Nice looking from outside. Lobby is clean. The rooms are nice and spacious. My favorite is a fan in bathroom. Coffee downstairs or keurig cup in room. The pool was nice. Even with a view of the pool it wasn't loud. If there was a minor complaint it's the patio light was bright and came through the room even with curtains closed. No option to turn off. Simple fix unscrew bulb, re screw when need or checking out. Would stay again.

I visited the OU Inn in June of 2024. The room was beautiful, sparkling clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly. It is very close to the University and the downtown area. Cutler's restaurant is a gem. The food is extraordinary. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice updates to the rooms. 5 star is only for the rooms in the C block. These rooms have individual in-room HVAC. A block rooms use central air, where your room gets as hot/cold as the HVAC in that block is set to. If you like to have individual control and say have the room really cold, then you need a C block room. Not sure about B, never had a room there. The restaurant is great for breakfast, but a bit pricey. Much better than the free breakfast the other hotels in the area offer. Bar is decent. On-site Starbucks (sort of) is decent. If visiting OU, then a great choice for the stay.

Check in was great, we were able to check in early and they allowed us a late check-out. Because we were participating in a sporting event that weekend it was really helpful and appreciated. We ate in the dining room a few time and the food was good and our servers were supper nice.

The only thing I would say is that the bathroom was tiny. And if you are not going to clean the rooms everyday please consider placing larger trash and recycling cans in the rooms. Or maybe a larger can in the hall way that we could empty ours into.

Nice food and relaxing environment. It was our first time visiting Ohio University with my daughter. Warm hospitality by the coaching staff.

This is where I try to stay whenever I'm in Athens.

The room prices are competitive with other hotels in the area (tending to fluctuate depending on the time of year and events at the university).

But the primary reason I like to stay there is the people. I've stayed there quite a bit and have found the team working the hotel, from the front desk, to the restaurant and bar team, to the maintenance out housekeeping team to the administrative team have all been wonderful. They are friendly and made us feel welcome. If we had a special need they have tried to accommodate as best they can.

So while I cannot guarantee your experience will be like ours, I can say chances are staying here will be a good experience based on our past experiences.

In terms of the restaurant and bar. This can be a little hit or miss from the standpoint of, depending on the time of year and team member availability, it can sometimes close down early. However, the food I've received there has always been good.

What a nice Inn! It's so close to everything. We stayed for a long weekend. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our suite with a balcony had a view of the pool. Everyone from the staff that we encountered was so friendly. Julian, our bartender, CJ our server, Nathan from maintenance, and Joshua from the front desk. The cocktails were yummy, and the food was also good. We recommend this place and will definitely visit again.

After a long drive from Washington, DC, we were happy to find this reasonably priced and well-appointed inn close to the heart of Athens. We stayed in 'Building B,' which was recently renovated. There are two entries (we were on the ground floor), one from the interior hallway and another from a porch that faces the pool area. The porch has a small table and two chairs, and it was the perfect place to enjoy the rain and thunderstorms that rolled through that evening. The room was immaculate - it is clear that everything in the room was updated from the carpet up. The bed, linens, and pillows are super comfortable, and the room is nicely decorated. Would definitely stay again when the area.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Ohio University Inn. The rooms were clean and ours walked right out to a seating area and the pool area which was nice. Checking in was a breeze and the people were super friendly. There is also a beautiful bar located inside and a restaurant that we didn't get to visit but smelled amazing. The walk to campus is not too far.

We had such a wonderful time here! Our room was amazing, the pool was great and we had a fantastic time Bunch of Grapes Tavern. Julian and CJ made the best cocktails and the food was great! Wholeheartedly recommend the Pear Martini. Best cocktail of my life :) Thank you :)

People work in this hotel are amazing! Great environment and great service. Special thanks to Trenton, as the restaurant manager, he helped me and the baby a lot and that’s definitely not his duty! He is so warm-hearted, and I think we r friends now. Girls work in the front desk are so friendly too. Really appreciate OU Inn that I cannot imagine the situation I would face without their help. Strongly recommend !!!

Very clean, good service, good bed. Be aware, We discovered we had mistakenly left an item was of value, about $30. The hotel uses “I left my Stuff” service, thus it cost another $30 To have it mailed.

Best stay that I have ever had

3rd time staying here with a car group. Very nice staff, rooms are clean and the beds are reasonably comfortable. The pool was clean. Plenty of parking for large groups. The bar and grill has nice dinner options. There’s a Starbucks inside the Inn at Cutlers Restaurant.

Perfect spot. This place just has a good feeling to it. Comfortable, low-key elegant, and most of all, welcoming. Dani at the front desk genuinely makes you feel at home. And if you travel with your pooch like I do, your well-behaved dog can accompany you to breakfast and get a serving of bacon on the house. We'll be back for sure.
