The ladies here are FANTASTIC!! So kind and welcoming. They helped make me comfortable and confident. While I didn’t get my dress here I highly recommend!! Lots of options for all sizes and styles and can’t beat the prices! Love that it’s in an old church too!

I booked a VIB appointment and I cant recommend them enough. Elizabeth helped with the initial try on and she was so amazing in helping me pick out dresses that fit my style and not just what is popular. Penny handled my fitting appointment and she was also amazing and knowledgeable. She accommodated the requests I had and worked to help me stay within my budget while still getting the look I wanted. I can't recommend Formality enough and was so happy with my dress and experience.

I recently booked a vip appointment here and had the best experience. Heather spent 2 hours zipping me in and out of dress, making me laugh, and being incredibly patient with me and my family. At the end of the two hours I still could not fully make up my mind about a dress. There were just too many lovely dresses to pick from! Heather was so kind and understanding. She knew I lived 3 hours out of town and was only going to be in town for another day. Because of this she gave me her personal phone number AND offered to come in on her day off to make sure I had enough time to make up my mind and retry on dresses. Heather ended up coordinating everything so I could go in the next day and try on dresses with Elizabeth. Getting to work with both of them made me realize how kind, patient, and helpful everyone here is. I could not recommend this shop enough. Finding your wedding dress is one of the biggest decisions you make and I was so thankful I had amazing women helping me find my perfect dress. Thank you Heather for making my first dress try on so special and one to remember! And thank you Elizabeth for helping me pick THE ONE! I’m so thankful!❤❤❤

I discovered this dress shop through a friend, even though it was an hour's drive away. Before scheduling an appointment, I had a conversation with the owner, who made me feel completely at ease and welcomed any questions I had. On the day of my appointment, which was initially set for 90 minutes, we had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my mom, who was running late. The staff was incredibly understanding and patient, ensuring we didn't start without her.

The shop had an extensive selection of dresses, which was particularly important to me as a plus-size bride, given the limited options at other stores. I tried on several dresses, although unfortunately, none matched my vision. However, what pleasantly surprised me was the affordability of the dresses – the best prices I had encountered throughout my dress-shopping journey.

The staff was not only helpful but also very knowledgeable, and I never felt rushed during the process. They even reassured us when my mom arrived late. The shop itself was impeccably clean, and the dresses were neatly organized. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in search of their dream dress. Heather and Penny were both amazing and exceptionally kind!

If you’re reading this, stop what you’re doing and make an appointment ASAP!!!! I am still in awe of how amazing my experience was at Formality Bridal!! I HIGHLY recommend you book the VIB Deluxe Appointment (Geneva location).

First of all, it’s located in an old church (such a neat aesthetic) — they have the original stained glass windows (AMAZING!) and they set it up to feel like you are walking up the aisle as you are picking out dresses!!! I mean c’mon how magical is that?!?

Second, the VIB lounge (Deluxe appmt) where you try on/showcase your dresses offers ample natural lighting for you to really get a good look. The lounge was also just perfect in general for our group to hang out. Beside the lounge is the bridal suite that I used to get dressed — I absolutely loved how it was set up- neon lights, a couch, ample space to try the dresses on, etc. I loved having my own private suite!!!

Third, being a plus size girlie I was a little nervous about selection/styles/general availability dress shopping, but they keep (at a min) 1/3 of their inventory at all times in plus sizes. I had no issues finding my dream dress! It’s absolutely stunning!!!

And finally- the customer service was out of this world! Liz was our bridal consultant and she went above and beyond. She was so genuine, so enthusiastic, so kind, and so extremely helpful!!! I never felt stressed, and I felt so confident in everything I tried on! She has the best energy and personality — I felt so comfortable with her— she felt like an extension of my group!

All around this was such an incredible experience. I’ve been to a handful of bridal boutiques in the past as the MOH and I can tell you that won’t find this elsewhere. Formality is truly a gem!!!!

This was the first and only shop I went to for my dress and it was a WONDERFUL experience! Liz was amazing, explained everything so well, extremely kind and very thorough. Lots of payment options and dresses are beautiful for a great price. 12/10 recommend!!

As a plus size bride, I was so nervous to go dress shopping! Formality Bridal was recommended to me by a few people due to their plus size selection and boy, those recommendations were correct. Penny was incredible to work with. She was so helpful in getting in and out of the dresses and keeping them in order of what I liked. She was nice and was even a bit of a comic relief to our group. The selection was large, she never once asked me what my size was. She just knew from looking at me! This is definitely not her first rodeo! Every dress I tried on fit nicely. The dresses are extremely affordable, never going over $999. The dress I got had an MSRP of over $3000!!! I cannot recommend Formality Bridal enough! They were extremely accommodating and almost make me want to go dress shopping again!

I was refered to Formality Bridal by a friend and they did not disappoint! I worked with Elizabeth and she was so kind! She made the experience fun right from the beginning. I tried on a total of 7 dresses and fell in love with the second one I tried on. I said “yes!” To the dress at formality bridal! The boutique was beautiful, from the archway when you walk in, to the stained glass windows, to the private rooms that the family and bride-to-be both get. Overall a wonderfully beautiful experience! I would recommend them to any one!

From setting the original appointment to arranging for alterations, Penny was amazing! The setting is beautiful and literally glows, bathing everyone in a soft light from the former churches beautiful stained glass windows. Offering a wide variety of styles and sizes to suit any bride, we discovered this gem on a recommendation from another bride...and my daughter could not be happier! Thank you for offering this alternative - the experience could not have been better!

My sister had the best experience! We all went with her for the special day. Elizabeth was very personal, patient and charismatic during the experience. She made my sister feel comfortable and confident in finding the right dress! Such a cute store, definitely recommend going there for a more intimate experience!

I had the most wonderful experience here today. Elizabeth helped me shop and she was incredible. She teared up with me when I found the dress. Paying the 75$ for the private room is WELL worth the investment, plus 25$ comes off if you buy your dress from them that day. I can’t thank Formality Bridal enough.

I booked my first dress shopping appointment with Formality over the summer. I chose to do the VIB experience, which was completely worth it! It was important to me to be able to share this experience with my closest loved ones, and we got to make it more of a party with a private room and drinks/snacks (which is something I didn’t see offered at many resale shops). While I ended up not finding “The One” during this appointment, Elizabeth was extremely helpful in allowing me to try on different styles and figuring out what shapes I liked vs. disliked, etc. She was also an amazing hyper girl! I absolutely recommend Formality Bridal.

This shop may not look like much from the outside but it's SO CUTE on the inside. They organize all of the dresses by size so you can go to your rack(s) and see what will fit you. The dresses were all $999 or less, buy off the rack, so a great deal. Elizabeth was SO nice, helpful, and really listened to what I liked/didn't like. I highly recommend this place!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. This was the best experience I could have asked for. I was a little unconventional and brought my FH with me to my appointment. Heather made us feel so comfortable. She gave me suggestions, answered ALL my questions, found a dress I had been eyeing online, didn't push the sale as I was torn between two dresses, and let me go home and think about it. She was so attentive when I made my decision, which ended up being after they closed, and had everything ready for me at open the next business day. FABULOUS place!!
