Recommend this place to anyone who needs car service. Bob and Mike are so knowledgeable and kind. They give you all the information and are very honest. I trust them completely!

I'll attempt to keep a long story short.
Got ran off the road in my Genesis.

Bent a dealer only part and could not find a shop that had the ability to locate what I needed.

I kid you not, 1 call to John on Wendsday, and my car was done Friday.

A handshake and a good conversation don't go a long ways in today's world, John and his crew are the exception.
I can wholeheartedly say I'll be getting my car serviced no where else but G&V.
John and the boys are the best of the best, no exceptions, absolutely thrilled with my experience here, recommended, and my wreck was amended.

Back on the road traveling already.

My daughter's car was towed to G&V Auto Care a few weeks ago after the car stopped moving off I 90. We're in the Rochester area and it would be costly to have it towed here. The mechanic John quickly gave us what the issue was, was very up front on the repair cost and timing to be fixed. He was easy to reach, professional and the car was back up and running. If I lived in this area this would be a service I would use and feel this shop is an asset to the area!

It’s always scary having to build trust with a new Mechanic when you move, wondering if they’re going to tend to your car with the same care as your last mechanic. As soon as I walked into to G&V all my stress was lifted. They are kind, knowledgeable, hardworking and very down to earth people. They always fit me in, they never overcharge me, and they have solved any car issue I’ve had since moving to the Syracuse area (which is to say quite a few bc my car is a 21 year old Subaru). If you want a mechanic you can rely on, I would take your car here.

I've been to this shop for most of my vehicle work. They always do a great job and make you feel at home. They dont rake you over the coals with outrageous pricing. They stand by their work...if it isn't done right the first time. You can call them and let them know that there's still an issue and they will get you back in . Very friendly staff! I will never go anywhere else for maintenance unless they absolutely can't provide the service!

John is honest, cares about doing things right, priced fair. I'm not from the area, found his place by dumb luck and was grateful he could fit me in during an emergency. I highly recommend him and G&V

Used these guys a few months ago when my husband's van needed a few repairs
No one could get us in without close to 1000$. These guys not only squeezed my husband in so he could get to work but now a few months after when we get our inspection we found out a few clamps were recently repaired and my husband didn't do it. We can only assume these guys did since they are the only others who have worked on the vehicle in the past year. They charged us a fraction of what everyone else charged and when they found out I walked to pick my husband's vehicle up ( he had mine at work) they told me they would have brought it to me! Will definitely use these guys in the future if ever needed! Thank you

John and Bob are AWESOME! They and their staff do great, quality, and affordable work. Best of all, they give it to you straight. They won't sell you stuff you don't need and they'll recommend only what you do. I've never had to bring a vehicle back to redo anything, except an oil change. And, they care for your wallet, too. I pass a dozen service centers on my way there; they're worth the trip. Bottom line: I TRUST them. Yeah, I said it!

Great people that provide great service along with very fair prices! Very honest business. I highly recommend them. They have helped me 3 or 4 times including a brake job that I needed today. As everyone knows it's not easy finding competent, honest mechanics but John and everyone at G and V are the real deal!

Friendly and honest staff. Took my car in and they took care of only what I actually needed. Didn't try to upsell or con me into a bunch of stuff that was unnecessary. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone that is in need of any work done. Don't waste your time with the big box name places...corporate just has their quotas. Quantity over Quality these days unfortunately.

John was quick, fair, and most importantly, honest. He didn't try to sell me on unnecessary repairs, like the previous 2 mechanics I tried did. I'm sticking with G&V from now on.

By far the best auto repair shop I've ever been to. Honest, great quality work, great communication, fast, more than reasonable pricing, and have gone above and beyond for me a couple times without even being asked. This is the only repair shop in Syracuse I'll go to as long as I can!

They are great people they make my life less stressful and I save money by going to g&v they never change three times the price like what fire stone does their always up front on what needs to be fixed and what can wait. G&v is very good about doing it right the first time so their no more problems keep up the good work guys I well forever be loyal to these people and I know my baby (car) is in good hands

They are great mechanics with great prices. Best of all, they're honest. I have been bringing my vehicles to them for years and have never had an issue. They always get my recommendation for anyone that needs their vehicle serviced. Great local shop.

Efficient and very easy to work with. I have a 2006 I just want to make last a little longer until my loan is paid. Because I didn't want to pay for my exhaust to be replaced and to maybe find out I needed a new cadallidic converter, they tied my stuff up with a shirt hanger. I very much appreciated that and it's been holding great.

Fantastic mechanics!
They quickly fixed my starter when I was in a pinch. Everyone was nice and friendly, and the labor costs didn't destroy my wallet!

One of the best auto shops in the Syracuse area to take your car to. The owners are honest and knowledgeable. Not the cheapest, but it is worth it because of the high quality of workmanship.
