The Sherwood Hotel

Was in Greene New York for a family funeral and stayed at the Sherwood Hotel for a couple of nights. The room as well as the 2 queen beds were very comfortable and the location of the Sherwood is great in the center of town close to eating places and other small business's. Greg, the building manager was very helpful and met us at the property even though we were arriving late. I would highly suggest the Sherwood Hotel!!

Great experience! We spent one night as an anniversary getaway. Got in touch with Gregg ahead of time and he made sure our night was perfect! Check in was welcoming and personable. Room was very spacious and clean and the bed was super comfy. We walked to dinner down the street at Patocka's which was a fantastic find. After a good night sleep we went across the street to Bonnies for breakfast. We will be back!

We were guests at a wedding being held at the hotel. We opted to also book a room because of convenience. The hotel is quaint, has well-crafted wooden furniture/features and the room was very comfortable. The bedding felt like we were sleeping on clouds. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Incredible experience staying at the Sherwood Hotel this past weekend. Greg was an amazing host and made sure every aspect of our stay was super comfortable and we had everything we needed. Went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our family had a great experience while visiting town. We will definitely be back again!

I did my wedding reception here and we stayed the night, it by such an amazing experience love the place and the communication with the management was great. I would highly recommend this hotel/venue for stays and events. Bonus they even let us use their glass wears.

The was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I. The pictures are true to description, the service is amazing. There are so many great places within walking distance. You won’t be disappointed here. Definitely am going to book again!

We had a lovely experience. When I first saw the location of this hotel I knew it was perfect. It was just one block away from when me and my husband first met. When they weren’t openly doing individual bookings I was nervous but I reached out to them and they booked us a stay for two nights. The price was affordable & the property owner , I think his name was Greg? was absolutely wonderful. Thank you guys for the great experience. We couldn’t have been happier.

Wedding reception and Guest rooms (10 rooms). Excellent experience. Attentive and accomodating to our needs. Greg is exceptional ( property management) rooms were clean and charming. Very glad we picked the Sherwood for our weekend stay. Great front porch to watch the people pass by. Such a lovely town. Greg and Tonya were amazing to work with. We will be back!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Today we ate lunch outside and the food was delicious and the service outstanding (thank you Hunter.) The veranda was completely full and Hunter handled every table with efficiency and always a smile. The chef in the kitchen must have been equally as talented as plate after plate of delicious food came out and no one had a long wait! I took pictures of this beautiful setting and hope these owners have success. Business meetings, small weddings, showers, this is the place.

RETRO MODERN IS BACK! This hotel is so cool. It's retro with a modern twist. Was in town visiting family stayed there 10 days. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Great food cool atmosphere there.They had post modern jukebox playing in the lobby with a mix of great music just giving it that cool vibe.
The place is spotless and clean with the owners on hand to make sure you're comfortable. Kyle at the front desk is a fantastic host , friendly kind and knowledgeable.
Nothing but positive things to say about my visit there. Who wants to stay at new hotel that just has that cold feeling. This place had comfort charm history and nostalgia you can't get from a newer hotel.
When I'm ever in the area I will be back for a stay.

Beautiful sunny day and joy ride in our Jeep brought us to Greene. The Sherrod Hotel is a must stop for lunch and a beverage. Elegant and charming to sit on the porch to enjoy lunch and gaze upon the small town charm.

Food was top notch! Well prepared and presented with wonderful flavors and quality ingredients. Service was spot on too!

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The hotel staff was so very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious too. Room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Mothers Day brunch was great. The only down fall was waiting a hour past our reservation time. Partly due to: they had us down in the Tap Room and being in a cast I couldn't go down stairs. Elevator was out of order.

We went for Mother’s Day and had the 5 course meal. It was by far the best dining experience I have ever had. The food was exceptional and the waitstaff were so kind and tentative. We will definitely be returning!

Special dining experience! 3 had Lobster dishes, and 1 had the Salmon. Delicious food, wonderful, attentive service. I wonder what the hotel rooms have to offer? Don't miss this place in Greene, NY.

Came here for an afternoon meal, and was very pleasantly surprised at not only the atmosphere, but also the quality of the food and the value. The food was wonderful, and very well priced. Would definitely not hesitate to return here!

Had the portabella mushroom sandwich...was very good. I only used one half of the bread in order to still taste the mushroom. I would suggest a thinner bread for this sandwich. The Sherwood is a great place for either lunch or dinner.

Had a lovely dinner here. The restoration is wonderful and I was impressed with the menu and the staff. I look forward to returning soon. The seating on the porch is particularly wonderful, the bar and clubroom areas are impressively sized.
