Great place for a bacon egg and cheese and a coffee. Caramel macchiato was banging!!Place was bumpin when we first got there around 10 on a Saturday. Delicious. Street parking but didn’t have to pay the meter I think. Don’t quote me on that

I had a breakfast wrap. They give you a wide variety of options to go into your creation. I had cheddar, sausage, onion, spinach and tomato with my egg. And the delicious wrap stayed together to the last bite. The coffee was great also.

I come here almost everyday, i come out of my way for this coffee, it’s the best around. their food is also excellent. I highly suggest a breakfast sandwich, which is always big and full, or an order of chicken and waffles if you’re really hungry! Pat, Scarlet, Melody & Alana are always so welcoming with smiles and they even remember my order… so when I see them they ask if I want the usual. those little things go a long way. It’s a warm and welcoming enviorment and it’s well worth the 15 min drive out of my way every morning

I was on a business trip, and this time around, I had the opportunity to do some sightseeing before heading back home. Being Cuban, coffee is LIFE, so stopping in to The Poughkeepsie Grind was definitely the order of the day. Mya was very professional and friendly with great energy, plus we chatted about our love for our respective rings. I had a medium coffee (dark roast, of course), a maple muffin and an egg wrap with onion, avocado and pepper jack cheese. And if reading that makes you drool, wait until you actually taste it. I AM so happy I found a new cafe that I can visit when in this part of Poughkeepsie, and I also love how close (and walkable) it is from the Poughkeepsie Metro North/Amtrak station.

This place has good everything and the owner is the nicest guy in the world. The only thing I'd ask is to please bring back the old fries. The new ones are delicious, but the old fries are hands down the best I have ever had.

First time trying this place, small establishment inside and a tad pricey but in this case you get what you pay for. Excellent food/coffee quality and service is the first thing that will be apparent to you as proceeding through your experience. I had a pleasant online ordering experience customizing my meal and navigating choices as a vegetarian creating my masterpiece..Picture speaks for itself.. after the meal you’ll start to think about how you are glad to see places like these popping up around Poughkeepsie and adding to the “come-up” of our city’s image as a whole.

First time here and it's the best cafe in Poughkeepsie!!! I got the buffalo chicken wrap and it's the best buffalo chicken wrap I've ever had. The chicken wasn't dry and they were very flavorful. It was very filling and the fries are hand cut and good. My sister got the bacon waffle and she loved it. The waffles are a good size, savory and tasted homemade. We also got a latte that was really good and they had non dairy options. Good quality food and coffee. Their customer service is A1. The employee make you feel like regulars and give you a very personal experience. Definitely a very innovative and hip cafe. 100% recommend. They don't have much seating but that just makes it cozier. Definitely will be coming back here!!

Whoa what a great breakfast sandwich! We had a short layover at the POU train station and the 10 minute walk to this place for a togo food order was well worth it. Was in a hurry and the staff was helpful in getting me back out the door and to my train on time.

Excellent breakfast, coffee, and customer service!

Came in over the summer and forgot to leave them some love. I ordered a chicken wrap with a hash brown and potato chips and an iced Chai latte. A bit too much time has passed for me to flesh out the details but I remember chatting with the staff behind the counter for awhile and they made me feel like an old regular. That hash brown was sooooo good, so perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and soft inside. Nice portions at an affordable price.

A cozy comfortable neighborhood cafe down the block from the train station and waterfront. This is a great introduction to the town of Poughkeepsie. Barista was warm and friendly and the menu is robust. The cold brew was euphoric and can easily rival any New York hipster cafe. The aftertaste was fresh and deep and I had to stop myself from drinking it down, while nursing it slowly. We didn’t order anything to eat but they have a nice selection of breakfast, lunch or baked goods. The cafe is small but quickly filled with locals who all seem to know each other and we’re very eager to share friendly convos. The chai was also fantastic. Would recommend taking your coffee and strolling the downtown park and river.

Good food and coffee. Would recommend placing an order online for pickup. The space is limited and gets busy quickly.

The breakfast sandwiches taste great and the quality of the food seems to be high. The hot chocolate i ordered the first time wasn't hot enough, but the second time, it was great. The attendant had a great attitude and was happy to serve.

This is the best breakfast/coffee/get you morning/get your life going spot. Great people, great legends manning the grill and making sure all of you breakfast dreams come true & MOST OF ALL: GREAT COFFEE.

I Brew Illuminated at my house when I can't quite make it to my breakfast place of worship and get the kick/jolt I need while also enjoying the great blend.

Go here. Do it. It's conveniently located, near other cool businesses, spots and parks.

Support the Queen City. The Grind is a backbone business to the city. Nuff Said.

Literally the best Buffalo chicken wrap I’ve ever had. We also loved the chicken and waffles

For some reason this is a little known hot spot of PK. These waffles are fantastic with more then a few different styles to choose from. Espresso is delectable and it has a nicely homie feel when you walk in the store. Call in to get a togo order or take a seat at one of their few tables and you won't be disappointed. It's always crowded in the morning but worth the small wait as they go through orders very quickly. Just stop in for some waffles already.

Absolutely delicious.
Perfectly cooked fries! I ordered a whole wheat 🌾 toast 🥪 with turkey bacon 🥓 spinach, hot peppers 🌶 & mustard and it was very tasty. Ate it before taking a pic 🤳
Also had their Harnold Ice tea, flawless mix of tea & lemonade with right amount of sweetness. My son & I had an excellent experience, friendly service, good ambience and impeccable environment!!

Stopped by for some breakfast with my husband. He got an omelette and I got a waffle. His omelette was so good🤩 their coffee is really good too. Will come again!

I only got a red-eye coffee (it did the job), but next time I will definitely be ordering the food because it looked and smelled fantastic! I thought the place was really adorable on the inside. The staff were really sweet too!

Great spot! There was a line out the door but I got in quickly to order and got my coffee immediately. Food took a few minutes but it was worth the wait!

I also got a coffee mug to remember my short weekend in town!
