Got the ultimate burrito and they were kind enough to offer avacado as a replacement for the meat which most places don't so that was very appreciated. The burrito was well wrapped and delicious. Atmosphere was great too!

Large portions, good food, and nice environment. I would recommend for the $1.50 design-your-own-cake-donut feature alone!

Love the serve yourself coffee setup, and the bagels are fantastic. Get them with a egg, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. It's not at all oily, it's great.
Only thing would be a nice adjustment-- if the staff were a bit more upbeat and welcoming.

Picked up a variety of bagels for a family X-Mas bunch. Everybody enjoyed them with the different spreads. Definitively will go back to get some more next time!

In my experience, this is the only local bagel place that is consistently good at online pickup orders. They don't make me wait in line to get a pickup order like other places do. Bagels are consistently in stock, rather than leaving options online that aren't being produced. For this alone, I am a repeat customer.

The bagels are decent, but not mind blowing or anything. The donuts on the other hand are great. Before this place came along, I waited years for there to be a place like this near Madison. I don't endulge often, but it's been a good experience every time. Customizing my own donut is fun, even if I mostly stick with the more tame configurations.

Favorite bagel place for breakfast and lunch. The kitchen staff is so warm and welcoming. Adrianna at the counter is also great. When she says good morning it makes my day. She really makes the place. The bagels yum yum yum. Plenty of seating that is continuously wiped down. Toasted blueberry bagel with light butter or toasted cinnamon sugar with light cream cheese are my favs. The burritos are legit too!

Bagels are delicious - a million times better than the bagel store around the corner. Hands down.

The service has gotten very good. When new restaurants open, there is always a grace period where they need to figure out what works and what doesn’t - so they can iron the kinks out. It’s just natural. You need to give them a chance to find their own rhythm. The bagels here are absolutely amazing and this place should not be overlooked because of prior reviews about wait time.

I’ve been here three times total. Every time the bagels were absolutely phenomenal. My bagel today was literally made in less than a minute - and I was not the only person there.

I was hesitant to stop here before an appointment of mine, after reading all the reviews about the wait time, so I scheduled a 20 minute buffer in case the service was as bad as previously reported.

Context: I came to Madison Bagel Cafe on a Wednesday morning, arrived at 8:35 am, and ordered two glazed donuts and a small hot tea. I had an appointment at 9:00 am nearby.

I walked in, ordered, and before I could pour the hot water to make my tea, the donuts were done! The person at the register was nice and friendly. I simply did not have the poor service experience so many have claimed.

The donuts, by the way, were glazed to order, and delicious. Definitely for those who enjoy thicker, cakey donuts (but not too cakey!)

Perhaps don’t come here in a rush during the most high-traffic times. But definitely give this place a try.

Lets establish that this was my first time here. I ordered a delicious chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese, and an iced coffee, well it must have been my lucky day, because a patron brought coffee for everyone (Thank You)and my total for breakfast was less than $3.00. WOW!! Im psyched about trying their other items.

My Madison train was delayed 9 minutes so I dashed over to Madison Bagel, their customer service is amazing! They whipped up a crispy chicken Caesar wrap in under 4 mins and it was the most delicious wrap I’ve had! Love the croutons in the wrap!

Always great service and great food. Not much outdoor eating area because it's a small street but I don't mind because there are always bees outdoors anyways (bees like bagels, too!). Ordering online offers the same variety of ingredients, and it's nice to see all the bagel types at once. My favorites are (1) the motherclucker on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and a hash brown in the sandwhich and (2) the French toast bagel with maple walnut cream cheese. My husband and I get both and split so we get the savory and the sweet some mornings!

The food and services were excellent.

I went to Bagel Chateau for years before Madison Bagel opened. I must say, Madison Bagel is everything that Bagel Chateau should strive to be. More friendly, better bagels, not nearly as greasy, and far better ordering system. Overall, best bagels in Madison and Chatham in my opinion.

I'm such a big fan of this place. Regina is always there to greet me with a smile, the entire staff is all friendly and helpful. I picked up a special order of min-bagels to take to work this week and they were a huge hit. I love their egg sandwiches too.

The bagels are the best ever and so was the rest of the breakfast. Also grab some of their handmade donuts you won't be disappointed.

We placed a catering order here for a brunch we were hosting. The owner Dan, was so helpful. The food came out great, our guests were super impressed. Very good experience!

Surprisingly large space for a bagel place, which also hosts a donut/coffee corner and generous seating with artwork on the walls. I will definitely be returning!
